Unfortunately, I can't say that I'm a fan. I stopped in because I needed to kill time while charging my car. Right off the bat, the vibe was weird. We got seated at a table that was in the middle of the a tunnel. Since we were there for a few minutes without a server or anyone who seemed to be interested in our table (and the surrounding ones), my family and I ordered two Gaucho burgers (one without habanero chimichuri) and two Gaucho Breakfast Platters via the QR code that was available on the table. As we were placing the order, a waitress walked up to take our order but we were already done. She asked if we wanted waters and brought us plastic togo cups of water. After 10-15 min, it was too cold so we asked if we could move inside. The waitress said that since we ordered through the QR code she couldn't make any changes. So I said, "so, is that a no?" She went to ask someone and eventually we were allowed to move inside. When the food finally came, we were disappointed that the waitress didn't know that the burgers were different. Thank god it was only a sauce removal since one of the kids couldn't eat spicy - what if it was an allergy? The burgers were mediocre at best and the fries were soggy. The breakfast platter had 5 things (bread, eggs, bacon, sausage, and potatoes) and only the bacon was good. The sausage tasted funny and the eggs were bland. I stopped by on a Thursday to see what the hype is all about. I've seen this place a couple times on my social media and saved it for when I wanted a lil drink and bite. The entrance was a little hard to find as all of the entrances by the parking lot is closed off, you actually have to go all the way around. I was out here looking SILLY finding all the staircases and walkways blocked off just to go all the way around. There's two parts I guess? A cafe and a restaurant. I sat at the bar. I ordered some chips and salsa to start with and boy was that not good. That salsa tasted more like a tomato sauce. It looked like it too! I didn't take a photo but I kid you not it looked like tomato puree. I was extremely disappointed I only had about 4-6 dips until I realized I couldn't stomach it. Seriously, I don't know if they decided to just blend tomatoes with seasoning or what but it's the most interesting salsa I have been served with chips! Next I had ordered the Korean short rib bites, which was actually really tasty. It kinda made up for the tomato puree situation. BUT. there was 80% bone and 20% meat. I was about to pick up the bones to start eating any type of meat off of it clean. unfortunately there were too many people around for me to do that. otherwise it was a great flavor and tender but just honestly minimal meat. For a drink I ordered the Mercado. It was definitely a refreshing drink and was super enjoyable by the beach. It was a fitting drink that I would order again! I personally love cucumber and how refreshing it is so this was up my alley for sure. The overall service was very attentive and quick. There's no complaints there. I would only drink here instead of getting the food honestly. The ambiance is pretty nice, being right on the beach is super convenient to go on a hot girl walk after. read more

There are nice seating areas and there's a great view of the beach. You can also watch people while you eat. I ordered a cheeseburger which was prepared well and tasty. Unfortunately my sister's order was a disappointment. Her chicken appeared to be pink and not well cooked. She ordered the Pechuga La Brasa. Multiple things wrong with food, multiple items forgotten, drink made wrong twice, tried to charge for wrong items & items we never ordered, switched servers mid meal where the first server told us we could split checks & second server said we couldn't. Auto-gratuity for large parties with no sign posted in entrance or on menu and automatic 20%, which neither server, manager, or cook deserved, then asked for more of a tip on top of that at checkout. Bathrooms were so disturbing we waited til we got home rather than attempt to use them. Food/drinks not to liking is one thing, but I've never had such poor service from 2 servers & a manager at the same time. My husband, a friend of ours and me had lunch at Gaucho restaurant. It was not a good experience at all. From the slow service to the poor taste of food. Even our water was bad. It totally tasted like tap water with no ice. Our food was not good at all, My husband and friend shared fish and chips and it was so soggy that you could actually see water underneath the fish. We had a few recommendations to try this place. It may have been the wrong day, cold and raining outside and the bar opens up to the patio so it was very cold indoors. Clean, trendy place on the beach. Parking was easy and accessible. Service was a bit slow as their bartender was also our waiter, the bar had 8 patrons. Super friendly, polite and gave some good recommendations from the menu. We had the ceviché, nice serving for 2-4 and plenty of hot unsalted fresh corn chips, very tasty with a perfect spicy kick. Bartender recommended the strawberry margarita, tasty but it was a short glass with more ice than liquor or margarita mix, loved the presentation. Hubby ordered the lobster roll and salad, both of good quality and quantity with a pleasing flavor. I ordered the medium cooked flank steak sandwich, very good but wish the bread was toasted so it would be a really warm steak sandwich. Fries were thick, fresh and hot; not too salty; perfection. Service was amazing but slow, the restaurant was busy so the bartender was quite busy. If this place is connected with Gauchos, we would have loved to have had the lamb chorizo meatballs as an appetizer. Anyways, we'll be back! read more
