My husband and I waited 8 months for our first new car purchase as a family. I was so excited to be a new car owner but our new Ford maverick ran into small electrical issues that made me worried. I have heard all the horror stories of service centers mistreating customers and I was worried on the additional costs the servicing was going to be. But when I reached out to the service center, I was surprised how great the service advisors, Matt DeTorres and Robert Mora, took the time to assure my husband and I that they would get to the bottom of the problem and that they would do everything in their power to fix it. I was pleasantly surprised when they walked me to the back to speak to the lead technician, Norm. Norm walked my husband and I through the diligent steps he was going to take to not only to find and fix the problem but also double check other areas to be sure to catch any other areas of potential issues with our new family car. I brought my F150 in for service on the back up camera. They charged $249.00 to find the problem, the camera was working intermittently. after 3 hours they called and said it would cost 1,400.00 to repair the camera. I ask to speak with the manager Ryan who explained that it took time to find the problem and offered to reduce the cost to $100.00. After 4 visits here, I've finally been able to locate a couple of SX model Optimas I'd consider. Unfortunately it was after they'd closed. I don't know whether this dealership is too bad to have decent stock, or they are selling so many Kia's, they can't keep them on the lot. Either way, not good for a potential buyer who is willing to consider the Optima SX, Sportage SX or even Forte Koup and can't get calls back on the phone or find decent stock on the premises. I took my 2021 Ford Mustang Mach-e to Hilltop Ford for a no starting issue. After some wrangling, I was able to get the car into Hilltop Ford to get it looked at. I wasn't offered a loaner, or a rental car, until I had to pester my service advisor that I needed one. The communication between me and my service advisor was lacking at best. I was kept in the dark (and maybe they were too) After numerous attempts to fix the car, with the assistance of Ford Corporate, and after having the car for more than 2 months, I worked out a deal with Ford Corporate to buy back the car as a lemon. It turned out one of the modules to regulate the battery was faulty and caused a fire! I was also told that there were two other cars at the dealership with the dame issue. The dealer insisted that I should get the warranty work performed for the recall for the sunroof reseal. Unfortunately, when the when the car was returned to me, after the sunroof was farmed out to a third party vendor, I discovered there were two dents on the drivers door. When I pointed this out to my service advisor, he casually said "oh yeah, I can see that", then he rattled off an address of a place I needed to take the car to get it repaired. If the dealership did the damage, why wouldn't they perform the fix. Looking back, I was never 100% satisfied with the service I received at Hilltop. It was like they were learning about the car themselves, and I was a test subject. Bottom line, if you have a Mach-E, steer clear of Hilltop Ford. read more

Two services back I was told my brakes would need to be done on my next visit. Fine. The next time I came in, I mentioned my brakes needed checking. Just purchased a F250 from Hilltop and I cannot say enough about my salesman Trent Clevenger. He was first class all through the purchase process. Real nice, non pressuring, professional salesman who met all of my expectations. He gets a full 5 stars from me. The only reason I deducted one is when we went through the finance part. My wife was annoyed as she felt we were getting over pressured to purchase all of the extra (GAP, Ext Warranty, etc.) items even after we said multiple times we did not want any extra stuff. Please be cautious with this fraudulent dealership. My brother, a Marine veteran with strong credit and the utmost integrity, purchased a vehicle through this company and was conned into transferring ownership back to the dealership.. 10 days AFTER purchasing and driving it. I use the word "conned" because the Finance Manager, Garnett Thompson, called him asking him to come back in after the purchase due to an "employment" error on their end. While on the phone, Mr. Thompson explained he had another bank lined up with the same interest rate. We have the text messages to show. My brother came in that day and Mr. Thompson gave my brother no options stating, "[he] can't let him leave with the car" and had my brother sign a Notice of Transfer and Release of Liability. On top of this, the dealership did not have his down payment ready for him. They even offered to shred his purchase contract - HA! Just to add to the fire, my brother asked for an Uber or Lyft to take him back home, Hilltop Ford declined. My brother purchased the vehicle at a fantastic price. He talked to 2 salesmen and the sales manager prior to dealing with Thompson. I am confident that the phone call was a fraudulent lie because the sales guys didn't get their expected commission and there was another buyer willing to pay a better price for his car. I personally chatted with Thompson after the fact. He showed no remorse, acted as if there was nothing else he could do and left us with a dry "apology" at best. This review is for the Hilltop Ford service department. Let me first say that the experiences with the service advisers over the years has been VERY hit and miss. Once every few months I find someone who is helpful and courteous and knowledgeable, but then I come back asking for them, and they have moved on. I am not surprised these people who are good at their jobs have moved on to other better employment. This review really is for my experiences with one service person in particular named Manny. I had my first experience several years ago when I came in with a screw in my tire. Instead of helping me with resolve the issue, he immediately went into trying to sell me a new set of tires. I said I am not buying new tires and please repair the tire. Another adviser was ultimately able to do this and the tire is just fine. I vowed never to deal with this person and over my many subsequent visits I was able to work with different employees. On a recent visit I was forced to deal with Manny again. I had a simple rear brake job scheduled for 8am, which they said would only take a few hours at most.. I brought my vehicle in before 8 and went home. I was a little worried when I didn't hear anything from the shop until I called about 4pm requesting the status of my van. They said they are just getting to it now and will be done tonight. I picked up my van before 6 and returned home. A week later I received a phone message from the parts department saying my part is in. I had no idea what part they were referring to, so I called and asked what part was ready and what was it for, I hadn't been told about any part being ordered. They shuffled me around and said Manny would call me back letting know the details. No returned phone call. I called again asking about this mysterious part, again Manny put me on hold. Another man answered and told me that they would need to look up the part and call me back. A young woman called me back a few minutes later saying that the recall part was ordered, here and would you like to schedule an appointment? What recall, no one had told me anything about a recall or that a part was ordered. they kept asking if I wanted to schedule an appointment and were completely unsympathetic to my dealing with Manny. She finally asked if I wanted to speak with a service manager, I said yes, I would like to speak with her. No, she is not available at this time. Trust me, if I lived closer to any other service center I would certainly take my vehicle elsewhere, but I simply can't. I drive 30k miles a year for work in my van and it needs to be serviced monthly. Unfortunately I have been burned too many times and will never work with Manny again. read more
