Maybe everyone has hammered dealers for so long for being too aggressive, now they don't seem to really care if they follow up and get a deal done. Weird. He's the consummate professional, excellent work ethic, and absolutely knowledgeable and competent. Eran is so awesome and accommodating. He seems ready and eager to work for & with you, and he made himself available as best he could with me. Even though it's clear from his website the area range he covers, and that he's open to go even further (for, in my opinion a small additional charge), he went extra far for me; and furthermore he's always ready seemingly at a moments notice (which won't always be the case, of course, but shows that as long as he's available, he'll jump to work with you [reflective of how awesome service & work ethic he has])! The extra (again, for an small [IMO] additional charge) he was wonderful in considering for me was even as far as a used car dealership in Roseville! Just FYI, for him Gilroy is too far (haha, had to try, because he's awesome and I was desperate for the car, so for him to). And he works hard to make it that his customers don't have to do anything additional, and that he'll take care of it all -- he doesn't expect you to meet him there (although you have the option; he offered/was-open for me to be there to do it with him, but since the dealerships were like 40+ miles out, I opted not to), or to meet with him beforehand, or even afterward; you can correspond and coordinate just text and/or phone. If anything, you just might have to call the dealership and give them a heads up (telling them the time and Eran's name & business). He goes out, takes the car for about an hour, and checks everything. But beyond that (and what I mean about excellent work ethic and consummate professional) is that he documents it all (photos on top of his notes), and he goes in, around, and even under the car and looks at all the nook and cranny of all the car parts & aspects. He took plenty of photos of anything remarkable of the car (dents, paint deterioration, oil/grease stains [underhood of the car], interior issues, etc.). He has a whole form with a checklist that checks ranging from fluids to condition of belts to lights working to hoses to condition of the tires & brakes and the rest; even takes note if there's a spare tire & wheel jack. Of course he hooks up his OBD tool to check for any codes. Then he sends you the report with all of his findings, gives you a call to talk it all over and he gives his impression, then you send payment -- he's really cool about payment and states "however you want to pay"; Paypal, Venmo, Zelle, Apple Pay, Cash, Check, whatever. He gave me the impression that I wanted him to be my own mechanic; so I even asked him. And it's a credit to him to have replied that, to keep professionalism and can't claim exploitation, he doesn't do both (PPI and mechanic). He is on the high end of what you might estim8 ($180; more if you send him outside his normal area/range [I don't believe more than $200]), but I was happy to spend that on him. I'm a novice with cars (general knowledge enough, but not enough to be able to identify whether car parts are in good order and/or would last or not), so I wasn't confident in my ability to buy my first used car. I used him twice (would have been three times, but Gilroy was too far away). In the end, the used car I got has worked great for the last 6 months. And he saved me from buying an amazing car (high end Hyundai; $3k) but in such under-the-hood horrible shape that it would've been 3x the cost of the price just to repair everything -- which is proven when I saw the listing remain for 2 whole months and priced reduced twice down to I believe $2800! After it all, I brought my used car to 2 mechanics after him, and they confirmed 4 out of the 6 concerns he had -- which, granted, it's not like Eran has a car lift and a whole lot of time to thoroughly check as much as a mechanic with a garage would. He mistook cosmetic blemishes on the serpentine belt and the brakes as old age and maybe needing to be replaced -- which didn't end up being the case. But he did get the transmission deficiencies, signs on a certain valve gasket, parking brake, and other aspects right on the mark. I can't say good enough things about him! I was only able to feel confident enough to buy the really old used car that was in my budget because of him. And it's been nothing but a success! 6 months later, after taking care of the issues and potential concerns Eran noted, the car has not given any problems (that could have been foreseen; it still is a really old car so some things are bound to have come up organically) -- proving how much Eran and SafeBuy is really stellar and impeccable! If you're not the best with cars, you can absolutely trust Eran and SafeBuy; as much as you can trust his willingness, commitment, integrity, experience.

I'm pretty confident I've paid an arm and a leg for having my flat tire fixed before, so I was really really happy at how quick and effortless it was. I didn't see any cars before me, so maybe that contributed to the speed, but it was genuinely less than ten minutes. You can't ask for more than that in my opinion, this will be my go-to recommendation for flat tires.

BE AWARE: Toyota of Berkeley's I-80 Junction service center charges an additional 3% fee if you…read moredon't pay in cash. This was not disclosed when I dropped off my car. I only discovered it when I arrived to pick it up... after the work was already completed. At that point, I had no real choice. They had my car, I'd arrived via Uber, and there was no practical way to go withdraw $800 cash from the ATM at that time of day even if I could get to one. I was effectively stuck. The repair itself (replacing an oxygen sensor) cost about $800, which already felt high. A quick Google check shows the typical range is $300-$600. The part itself costs about $200 for the genuine Toyota part and my statement says that they took 1.5 hours to complete the work so labor accounts for the remaining $600 of cost which means I paid $400/hour here. On top of that, I was charged another 3% simply for paying by card. For those doing the math, it's true, $25 more isn't a fortune. But the issue is the lack of transparency and the feeling of being squeezed for every dime with no way out. Fees like this should be clearly disclosed upfront, verbally and prior to the work being done... not quietly added when the customer no longer has options. To make matters worse, the repair took three days, despite being promised it would be completed in one. I'm sharing this so others can make an informed decision. There are many reputable Toyota mechanics in the Bay Area who do quality work without surprise fees, and keeping your car for 3 days for 1.5 hours of work. I'll be taking my business to literally any of them going forward.

At 1:00 p.m., after waiting two hours, I walked back to check on the status and found that they hadn't even started working on my car. When I told them I was leaving, the employee suddenly asked if I could wait another 10-15 minutes because he could "start it now". So frustrating. My scheduled appointment meant absolutely nothing until I complained and I was not interested in a rushed oil change... If your business can't honor appointment times, don't offer appointments. Respect your customers' time. I would not recommend taking your business here. I certainly won't be back.

Leased our vehicle (Kia Forte) from Hilltop Ford, and we're very pleased with the overall vehicle itself. The staff, most notably Jason Taylor, Phil Cooper, Garnett Thompson, and Adam Brown, were extremely efficient, competent, professional and welcoming. Thank you, gentlemen. These guys provided the utmost in customer service, from the locating of our specific vehicle type, to color, interior/exterior requirements, to having us test-drive the car, up until the final paperwork to finalizing the package. Jason and Phil went over and above their customary efforts to work with us and explain everything in detail, as well as keeping us abreast of what was transpiring during the course of our conversations, both on the phone and in person. We drove off satisfied customers. You can be certain that we will recommend this specific dealership to our friends, relatives, and acquaintances. On another note, because our vehicle is new, we have not, as of yet, experienced nor dealt with their service (technicians )department. We have, however, read some negative feedback from Yelp regarding customers bringing their cars in for different types of service, i.e. tune-ups, transmission work, etc., etc. This would be a a concern for us in terms of having our vehicle brought in for service in the future. We have read that some service departments over-charge, as in the case of some dealerships that we've dealt with in the past, in the Concord area. Other concerns would be where service depts. have created false problems in the vehicles that were brought in and, in turn, would tell their customers that they discovered a problem with the vehicle where there was none to begin with. We hope this is not the case with this particular service dept. at Hilltop Ford, as their sales staff is quite commendable and top-notch in their customer and client relations. Ideally, all departments of a dealership should be outstanding, and we're hoping this is the case with Hilltop Ford. Never bought a new car before in my life; I had parameters that included not paying interest and taking depreciation losses for driving off the carlot. It took a couple weeks but I drove home yesterday in an all electric 2016 Soul. What a jewel of an experience. I have to tip my hat to my husband who did all the phone work and initial bartering with Raoul. Before I knew it a white brand spanky new Soul had Lynda written all over it !~! We were able to trade in my sister's '14 Sorento that was way too large for us and get a much more suitably sized ride. There was a moment when a communication misstep appeared and a rather large cash deposit was expected. Unable to do that, I thought we were taking home the car we drove in but... They were able to adjust the finances so that we could all agree on a down pmt and the amt of the monthly pmts stayed within our budget. Increasing our fuel efficiency from the Under-20 mpg in the Sorento to over 100 converted mpg in the Soul made me smile as I passed a station yesterday and automatically looked down for the gas gauge - which does not exist. I hope to do that a thousand more times before the feeling gets old. The car is a dream, beautiful to look at, easy to drive and loaded with features it may take the entire three-years of the lease to learn to use. We can fit both the Soul and our Scion Xb in the allotted one parking spot in our co-op. How cool is that !~! Thank you, Raoul and the team at Stead's Hilltop Kia. I just bought a Kia Optima 2015 from Hilltop Kia. I am absolutely in Love with My new car. I had the pleasure of The Internet Supervisor Moe who assisted me with the purchase of My Awesome New kia Optima. Let me tell you this Man bent over backwards to make sure I was purchasing the Vehicle I wanted. He took me on a test drive to give me a chance to experience what the vehicle drives like and how comfortable I would be in it. He hung out most of the day with me getting my financing completed, He also keeps in touch with me to make sure I,m completely satisfied and to see if there are any questions I may have about the vehicle. I feel very confident that if I do need ANYTHING that Moe will assist me. This is the second vehicle I purchased from Hilltop Auto Plaza. I also own a 2011 Ford Ranger 4x4. I also love my truck. I would highly recommend this place ANY day! I worked with Moe and Carlos the first day but backed out of the deal that day because I wasn't ready to buy a car just yet, I just want some information and see if I could get approved. Moe tried really hard to get me in that Sorento and his team did amazing at that effort. I just needed time to think. After seeing another dealership the next day and being lied to I immediately called Carlos since I knew Moe was off already and told him I'm ready to do business with them. He congratulated me on my approval at an even lower rate than initially offered and told me the car would be ready by 12 the next day! Next day Monday I come to the dealership and see Carlos and as promised, paperwork and car ready! Even took the time to walk outside to make sure it's the exact car I wanted and even introduced himself to my wife before I had the chance to. After that Roule and William took over at the financial office and they made things so effortless. They made sure I got out here at a timely manner. After an incredibly frustrating experience with another Kia dealership, my husband reached out online to Safeel "Moe" Mohammed at Hilltop Kia to request an out-the-door price for a 2026 Kia Sorento Hybrid X-Line SX Prestige. The thought of entering into 'negotiations' with a dealership was making me physically ill. So when I saw the reviews for Hilltop Kia and Ford saying these people were honest and straightforward, I went to see for myself. The first day, I just wanted to look - didn't test drive. I liked the Kia Soul but it was a little above what I was comfortable with. Lewis, my salesman, said he could bring the price down. He didn't pressure me and didn't ask for my phone number before I left the lot. I went to another dealership to look around. That salesman showed me a used car for the same price as the Kia that had 50k miles on it. I felt like I was in a war zone and would have to fend off the crooks. I decided to go back to Kia and stop looking anywhere else - too stressful. Lewis patiently worked with me on trying to solve my dog hair problem. Most cloth gloms onto the hair and you can't vacuum the stuff out. We considered re-upholstering with leather but the Kia has smooth cloth and I think it will be okay. When the paperwork was finished, I didn't get a different total (except for taxes and fees) than we'd agreed upon. The Finance Dept Manager was very clear on my options and I liked him too. After reviewing Consumer Report's 2017 car buying guide, the Kia Optima was rating highest among the sedans. Above Toyota and Honda. My husband and I went to test drive the Optima with a little bias...leaning toward the Honda. The plan was to try several high rated vehicles. The optima was nice....and the 2016 year end clearance had an Optima turbo SXL in the showroom with all the bells and whistles. Beautiful! Mo was our salesman....and he was obviously knowledgeable and low key on pressure. The product speaks for itself approach. We did our homework. So off to the Toyota Avalon...test drive. Super smooth, but pricy....and not matching the bells and whistles of the Kia Turbo. Then Honda....the Sport Special Edition was nice. I sit in the vehicle and feel at home, but the ride was a bit jerky. My mind kept thinking of the Kia. We searched consumer guide on the 2016 Kia Optima. Almost as impressive as the 2017 review. 5-Star Experience at Hilltop Kia Just took delivery of a fully loaded 2026 Kia 3-row SUV from Hilltop Kia--easily the best car-buying experience we've ever had. 10/10. We'd already test-driven the exact model at a closer dealer, but they wanted over $7,500 in unwanted, overpriced dealer add-ons. After endless haggling we got it under $2,000 and still it was still overpriced, redundant, and unwanted. We then contacted other KIA dealers including Hilltop Kia (130 miles away) and Moe replied right away with a true out-the-door price--no games, no hidden fees. Raoul and Edgar are the best! Getting a new car is a big decision so I had A MILLION questions about the whole thing. I took a few days to think it over after my first visit and they were both SO patient with me. They didn't make me feel rushed or uncomfortable, they just answered all my questions and helped me do what was best for me! I was super nervous (I'm leasing for the first time), but they helped me through every part of the process and even followed up with me after to make sure it was going well. Mo was the best car dealer guy Ive ever met. Down to earth no bullshit no upselling , there to help me get exactly what I needed with out the hype. The other men Bob and the financial deal sealer guy were descent and I even got a fair trade in on my Elantra at 9000 they wanted to give me 8500 but I had been offered 9000 by a broker so I knew it was worth it and Bob said if it was a deal breaker they would give me the 9000 which they did. I had two blown tail lights that turned out to be caused by busted filaments in the lamps. Mark (the service manager) made sure I just got charged for the replacement of the lamps, rather than for a complete diagnostic (a $170 difference). Kevin, one of the service reps, was incredibly helpful and friendly--I was running ~20 minutes late for my appointment, but he still managed to get my car checked out and fixed in less time than it took me to get a cup of coffee and a bag of popcorn from their waiting area. All said and done, it took less than $15 and 30 minutes for them to fix my car, give it a good rinse, and get me on my way. Service visits are never fun, but this center not only took care of my car, but showed a real respect for my time. Definitely a great option if your car needs work! read more

Salesman of the year for like 10 years running and I can see why. He was patient and not pushy. Mike was our finance guy, obviously been there a while as well. Also nice fellow. We closed the finance portion after a test drive and then they filled the truck and detailed it while we ran home for the down payment we chose. The sticker on our truck read $79,170. In the end after taxes and fees in California mind you, we got it for 78k! And they threw in the first oil change! We love our new 2025 Ram 2500 Cummings 4x4! The entire experience was 5 stars.

As a single parent and a caregiver for my elderly parents and my son with special needs, I was at their mercy to take care of me since I didn't have the time to take care of anything else. Well needless to say I was duped! I was so ready to walk away from the Hanlees group entirely. Everything changed when I got a call from Jim Totah, the Director of Sales Operations. Although the issue began at the Hyundai store, Jim is located at Hanlees Toyota, and the difference in management and atmosphere was night and day. From his very first message, I could hear a level of sincerity and kindness that reminded me of an uncle or a grandfather(someone who cared about me). He didn't treat me like a "sale" he treated me like a neighbor. He understood my hesitation to return to the Hyundai location and graciously met me at the Toyota dealership instead to ensure I felt safe and comfortable. Jim is a true hero who restored my faith by personally sitting down with me to go through every single line of my contract. He took the time to listen to what I needed. He said he wanted me "to be happy" with my purchase! He corrected several significant financial discrepancies that had been added to my initial agreement at the other location. Once we reached an agreement, he introduced me to Felipe Cortez, the Sales Manager at Toyota, to finalize the paperwork. Jim was right to have total confidence in him. Felipe is a complete stand up guy and, like Jim and myself, he too grew up in San Francisco. I felt 100% respected working with both of them. They ensured my 2026 Santa Fe included the full 10-year/100,000-mile warranty and the 3-year maintenance I was originally promised, all while bringing the total cost down to a fair and sustainable level for my family's budget. Jim Totah is a man of his word and a true advocate for the community, and I am so grateful he and the Toyota team gave my first car purchase a second chance at such a positive outcome! We had intended to bring both of our vehicles in for service, but because of our interaction with Jenny Williams, we ultimately decided to leave. When we asked questions about fluids and oil recommendations, Jenny was rude, dismissive, and unhelpful. Her tone and facial expressions--including smirking and looking at us as though our questions were foolish--made us feel talked down to and uncomfortable for simply trying to understand the service being performed. Customers should be able to ask basic questions without feeling belittled. Between the excessive wait time despite having an appointment and the poor customer service we experienced, we chose to take our business elsewhere. It was disappointing, especially since we came prepared to service both cars. I expected much better professionalism and respect from a dealership service department.

Instead of simply addressing the warranty issue, the service department tried to upsell several maintenance items, including a coolant flush, automatic transmission fluid (ATF) service, tire rotation, and battery checks. Since our mechanic keeps up with the vehicle's maintenance, these recommendations were unnecessary and left us feeling like they were more interested in selling services than taking care of the customer. To make matters worse, we've repeatedly asked to be removed from their mailing list, yet the promotional mail continues to arrive. It's frustrating that such a simple customer request has been ignored. Honest service and respecting customers' wishes should be standard. Unfortunately, that wasn't our experience, and because of it, we won't be returning.
