    Bbq pork char xiu

I've recently been eating at this hong Kong express in weekly bases, at one point I was eating here 4 days in a row. I absolutely feel in love the bbq pork char siu. The bbq pork here is probably the best bbq pork I've had. They told me they recently changed how they cook the bbq pork, no longer do they deep fried the bbq pork, which caused it to be dry at times. The bbq pork flavor is good and juicy, I love how they pour the bbq pork sauce into the small container when I order a side of bbq pork by it. Ok enough about the bbq pork, the orange chicken is good, house special chicken is good, chow mien and fried good. Portion size is big for 2 item combo, good for 2 people or eating it twice for sure. The staff are super nice. Definitely try this hong kong express, especially the bbq pork.

****REVIEW UPDATE*** This place must've changed owners because the orange chicken that made them famous is COMPLETELY different. Also, the bbq pork is different. Both are different for the worse. Very unfortunate because they used to have the BEST orange chicken. Now, it's too sweet, no vinegar tang, and is now a weird orange color.

Huge portions. This is what all Hong Kong Express locations are known for. They pile everything up and have to use tape sometimes to close it. I will say that the orange chicken has a little too much batter. The batter to chicken ratio is a little off. I sometimes stay clear from it for that exact reason, but it's actually good. I just feel so guilty eating that much batter. I will say that majority of the dishes are good and well worth what you pay. The service is good and the ladies get to know you if you are part of the neighborhood area. I always get the the salt and pepper chicken, Kung pao, and beef with broccoli. Highly recommend this location if you're in the area and looking to get your fast food Chinese fix.

I've been coming here since I was a little girl with my family. Even though i don't live in this area anymore and live farther away, I still come here! The food is good and affordable. The service is always great and line moves fast! Portions are huge and i come here whenever i want quick Chinese food, it's better than panda!

Not a bad Chinese food place. I have had better, but nice staff, good food, fairly priced. I will be going back!

The noodles were perfectly chewy, and the black bean sauce was rich, savory, and packed with flavor. I loved how the sauce coated every strand of noodle, creating a comforting and satisfying dish without feeling too heavy. It's the kind of meal that keeps you coming back whenever you're craving something hearty and delicious. The restaurant has a casual, old-school atmosphere that feels authentic and welcoming. It reminds me of the kind of neighborhood spot that's been serving loyal customers for years. The service was friendly and efficient, and the food arrived quickly even during a busy lunch rush. If you're looking for authentic Korean-Chinese cuisine in Orange County, Peking Gourmet is definitely worth a visit. Their Jjajangmyeon is a must-order, and I can see why it has remained a local favorite for so many years.

The food comes out quick and it may not be a Michelin star worthy food but it's definitely a comfort food for a lot of people. Their black bean noodles are a staple but I also recommend the spicy shrimp, sweet n sour pork, and sizzling rice soup. Their jjambbong (spicy seafood noodle soup) is just ok.. Service is great because I think the servers recognize my family but speaking Korean also helps. Unfortunately, I have witnessed some of the servers being kind of rude to other patrons. The servers are just always in a rush. But I always find myself going back whenever we have a big group. Don't expect a nice, clean, modern ambiance. The carpets old, decor is questionable, and sometimes there's a weird smell. But I will continue to go here.

Ordered takeout for lunch over the weekend and was very satisfied!…read more We ordered: -spicy chili oil wontons -scallion pancakes and beef roll -pan fried buns -xiao long bao -green beans -cucumber salad -popcorn chicken Everything was delicious! The beef with the scallion pancakes was sooo tender. The cucumber salad was extra refreshing with the perfect balance of savory and tangy. You also can't ever go wrong with spicy wontons, pan fried buns, popcorn chickens, or braised green beans. Yum! Huge bonus: the restaurant is directly connected to Ben Gong's Tea. Loooove the osmanthus milk tea! I'd recommend subbing out the crystal boba and rice with regular boba and tea cubes.

Mine and my bf's go to are the dry fried green beans, mapo tofu, Chong Qing Spicy Chicken, and Yang Chow fried rice. These are more than enough for two people and we always have leftovers to take home. The mapo tofu pairs soooo well with the fried rice and my bf loves the chicken. Green beans are flavorful and crispy as well! Hot and sour soup is HUGE. They aren't consistent in making this because some days it's the perfect balance of tangy and spicy flavor, but other times its tooooo sour. The restaurant is very spacious. I love that you can just order via QR (on your phone).

When you order, you'll check mark the menu they have ( with pictures might I add ! ) and they'll come pick it up and bring out your order fresh and pipin' hot. We came on a busy day with plenty of people ahead of us in line, but because of the fast service we got in surprisingly quick. Although they were busy, every time we needed something they would bring it out right away but this is not the place where they would come check on you every so often. They know what they're doing and they do it efficiently. Here is a few must try items that we all loved! - Egg Tart - Scallop w/ Shrimp Dumpling - Fish w/ Sausage Balls - Fried Golden Shrimp Balls Definitely check this place out if you're looking for a good dim sum spot !

It is a seated service (no carts). I waa a bit thrown but the large menus behind the register thinking we would need to order first and then get seated. It's set up for take out! There were quite a few patrons partaking Dim Dum at 10:00am on a weekday. There was even a bery large group that shared a round table so definitely can accommodate larger parties. You are given a paper menu and you mark off the items you want to order, including tea; which is on the backside. The food comes put very qui key and not in any sort of order. The Dim Sum is solid. I was told their BBQ was amazing so a bit disappointed as our Boas had little stuffed inside and definitely average (as goid as I get at a local Asian market that sells hot food). Servers were pleasant and we were greeted and seated when we first arrived.
