We've always enjoyed the shabu at Jazz Cat over the years - their ingredients never fail to be fresh and good quality, and the portions are generous with tasty sauces and a wide variety of broths to choose from. You start by choosing your meat option, then the broth and sauce - and you can also add sides and snacks from the decent sized menu. I almost always go with either the Angus beef or premium pork selection. I also like to make sure I add an egg to my order - I love the creamy yolk when it's been poached in the broth and broken over the rice - YUM! You have two options when it comes to your meat/veggie ratios in the portions - regular or "T-rex". The "regular" option gives you more veggies and a "regular" serving of the meat while the T-rex option gives you quite a bit more meat. I can't say I see a difference in how much veggies you get with the T-rex - it almost looks the same as the regular and for the same price so it's a good deal imo. The meats are consistent in their quality and always taste great to me with soft, delicate textures - sliced so thin they cook up fast in the boiling broths. I love to dip them in the satay sesame sauce (my fave one here). The veggies come in a surprisingly wide variety - cabbage, bok choy, some type of squash/gourd, zucchini, broccoli, baby corns, onions, and you even get a fish ball and imitation crab piece! For the broth, I pretty much stick to either the pork bone broth (my usual) or the Japanese creamy miso if I'm feeling something lighter. I've also tried the tomato broth and the creamy milk/corn broth and they were good but not ones I'd get regularly (personal preference). The broths are all tasty but rather light and mild and could definitely stand to be a bit stronger in flavor. I almost always find myself wishing for a little salt or soy sauce. The satay sesame sauce is complex and sooo flavorful with the peanutty satay complimenting the umami sesame profile and adding that much needed boost of flavor that's missing from the broths. The Japanese sesame and thai satay are also solid sauce choices. The meals come with a bowl of rice but you can sub vermicelli noodles if you want. They also include a little portion of the noodles with veggies so you get both either way. The vibes are sleek and modern with very swanky jazz-club style decor and intimate seating for your party. I love the cat theme too - even their hotpots have paws and ears - it's so fun! Service is often a tad lacking - they're nice but inattentive and go long stretches without checking on you (even when they aren't busy). You almost always have to flag someone down for the check or just make your way to the front to pay. That's the main reason for my four star rating as opposed to five. Prices are decent for the quality and portions. And they also have an AYCE option! There's a decent sized parking lot in back of the building but when it's busy parking gets challenging - especially since they closed their San Gabriel location. All in all this is a solid choice for shabu - we've been coming for years (my review is long overdue lol) and definitely will be back!
I use to love jazz cat since set menu hot pot places are pretty rare to come by now since AYCE is a better business model for a lot of hot pot places but over the years i feel like the quality gone downhill. The service was good as always but i feel like the quality in meat declined. However the set menu was large enough to make me feel satisfied towards the end of the meal. There's plenty of seating and the table size is really big! perfect for a good spread of ingredients. They also have an AYCE option here ! Plenty of parking! and Molly tea is the next plaza down to finish the state flow
I have to admit this was our first choice however we were pleasantly surprised with our dinner. We were in Arcadia area, so knew there were a lot of choices for a hot pot let struck out at the first two since we didn't have reservations and the wait was extremely long. We found this place on Yelp and immediately went on the waitlist. We were seated immediately upon arrival. All the tables are booths within individual burners/pots for each person. They have an option of all you can eat and Ala cart. That all you can eat for an adult was $39.95 for dinner. My only complaint was we had to flag the server down each time we wanted something. They weren't really checking on you voluntarily. Once we did ask for an item, they did bring it promptly. The way this one works is: you pick your soup base which they have a lot of options. I chose the Japanese miso, which was so flavorful. Next, you choose two sauces. Now it's time for all the stuff inside starting with the meats. They didn't have any seafood on all you can eat menu. Next was the veggies. I didn't see bok choy on the menu, but we asked and they had it. Lastly, you can ask for noodles or rice. They bring everything to your table so there isn't a buffet type area where you get your sauces or veggies. It was such a cool day in shabu shabu hit the spot.
Awww this place is such a vibe! Came in on a rainy night, perfect for some hot pot. The restaurants decor lives up to their name Jazz Cat. I love the low lighting on each table. It's a perfect place for a date night or a group of company. Their sweet potatoe fries as a side were good w a crunchy outside and soft inside combo. The server was attentive and helpful with suggestions for flavoring Soup was super yummy and they give an abundance of topping amounts, I was full from one serving, imagine AYCE :0
First time at the Arcadia location! Parking was a little hard to find but there's a lot in the back and you can only enter the restaurant from the back. Service was pretty good. We had a party of 8 and were seated immediately on a Saturday night at 6 pm. The first round of food came out quickly but the rounds afterwards took some time. Recommend the kelp and sukiyaki soup bases. You can also order multiple items at the same time for the ayce menu without limit. We didn't realize there was also green onions and garlic and some other condiments in the hallway so keep an eye out for that. They also had a promotion where they gave out free Jazz Cat pots too!
My party arrived at Jazz Cat around 6:00 PM on a weekday and experienced no wait to be seated, which was a great start to our visit. The staff greeted us warmly and promptly asked whether we preferred the a la carte or all-you-can-eat dining option. We chose the a la carte option, and it ended up being more than sufficient for everyone in our group. For our meal, we ordered the Japanese Spicy Curry soup base in the T-Rex style (more meat, fewer vegetables) and the Japanese Miso soup base in the regular style (a balanced portion of meat and vegetables). When comparing the two broths, the Japanese Miso soup is more flavorful, as in saltier (in a good way!) where the Japanese Spicy Curry was more mellow. Regardless, both broths were flavorful and enjoyable. One tip for future diners: opting for the regular style may be the better value. The T-Rex style does not provide a significantly larger portion of meat when compared to the regular option, making the upgrade less worthwhile. We also tried the Japanese sesame, ponzu, and Thai satay dipping sauces. Each complemented the hot pot ingredients well, and we were satisfied with all three selections. The service throughout our visit was attentive and responsive. Additionally, the restrooms were clean and well-maintained. Parking is free and conveniently located in front of the restaurant, which is a major plus. Overall, a pleasant dining experience with solid food, good service, and convenient amenities.
Jazz Cat in Arcadia offers all-you-can-eat (AYCE) shabu-shabu. There is a variety of broths and sauce to choose from. ::Food:: We enjoyed the Premium Angus Beef for its tenderness but the beef short plate was overly fatty. The Japanese Spicy Miso and Spicy Tomato broths were flavorful and packed with spice, while the Satay Sesame broth was watery. For dipping sauces, the Ponzu and Japanese Spicy Miso was a good choice. ::Customer Service:: Service started off strong, with polite and friendly staff, but our server became less attentive. ::Tips:: - Stick to the Premium Angus Beef for better quality. ::M's Notes:: - Outdoor seating - Parking lot
The best AYCE shabu shabu restaurant in the area. There are not many AYCE places around anymore, but this one is the most worth it and most affordable. At only $40/person you get all of the meat options, vegetables, noodles, and others hot pot essentials. The quality of the ingredients is great and the sauces are also very delicious. The staff are super friendly and helpful and the interior is huge. The AYCE option is super worth it, but they also have a la carte options.
I haven't been to many shabu shabu restaurants, but this one had the biggest portion sizes out of all of them. Loved their lamb and beef. Their miso broth was better than their bone broth, but both were delicious. Definitely add an egg to your soup and choose their spicy bean sauce which went very well with the meal. Service was very fast and I like how big their booths are, packed with 6 burners at each. I'd like to go back to try different combinations.
I had a good experience dining here. I considered this place to be a classic hot pot place in the San Gabriel Valley area. The staff was nice and hosted us efficiently and attentively. They came coming to our table to ask if we needed anything further. The golden fish ball was probably a stand out from everything that we ordered. All the other items (broth, quail egg and meats) were pretty standard and nothing too different than from other hot pot places, but still really good. The price isn't too bad either, considering all the food you are getting. Overall, this place hits the spot when it's a cold day out, or even if you are just craving casual hot pot. Sad that their valley location closed down, but this new location still does it nicely.
Ambience: pretty picturesque. Big chairs and tables with build in hot pot. Food: ok. It's edible. I like my t- Rex size meat and but the veggies portion was a bit small. Vermicelli was about 4 to 5 strands. Portion was smaller than if you go to melange pay by pound places. Service: Quiet bad. Put in back corner. Not check often. Waiter mixed broth, have uncommitted answers, and attitude like they didn't really to be there. But found out later broth were mixed. Had to wait about 30 minute for my milk tea. And flag a waiter to ask. ( they forgot) Soup was almost dried out before they refill with plain broth. Had to flag waiter from common area to get service. Pricing: 28 for beef T- Rex 25 for regular chicken 8.50 for about 1.2 cup of fried tofu 4.99 for green milk tea that taste funny... Total was 100 bucks plus. And they have a promo spend 100 you get a cat hot pot ( I gave it away). Tip: I gave bare minimum because in the end my sister had to get up and get more napkins and spoons. Since there were no one to come to check up on us after giving us our food. Our water was gone. Tables were not cleaned. If table next to us didn't have guests we probably be ignored until check time. Amazing huh? When they have check they check table 2x and I refused to pay until they gave us to- go containers. Location: not noticeable at the front main street in the dark. But Google map found the place. Pokestop: 1 gym and 2 Pokestop within reach. Maybe there's a reason why there's a lot of Pokestop....
I've been coming to this place for eons now....their other location on valley is closed now..... Overall this place is clean consistent and nothing is ever wrong...it is kind of hidden and I think business used to be more bustling..... I just got the veggie miso with the veggie combo almost all the time It is one of my go to places for shabu. Service was good and the place is generally clean. I'll be back as I always have!!!!
Jazz cat now has ALL YOU CAN EAT! $37.95 for dinner/premium menu Seafood add ons for $5 more I was surprised to find out they changed to ayce and had to come try for myself. Background: I had jazz cat once before and got the corn soup base set before it went ayce, enjoyed the experience and see their selling point in having unique broths, but couldn't help thinking it would be more worth to go ayce with an extra $10-20... And lo and behold, here they are! Since it's ayce, went with a safe soup base pick, the pork broth, and then ordered a bunch of meat. (You could change ur soup broth for an extra $3.) If u eat well, the soup base may lose a bit of it's flavor towards the end. The Angus beef, beef short plate, and lamb were good! Ordered the chicken once to try and it was better than expected (but still focused on beef and lamb for money worth). DON'T get the pork. I tried it so you don't have to!! It was dry and the chicken tasted better. Didn't try the seafood add on so can't speak for it. Was already getting stuffed from the reg menu. Sauce wise, I like the ones with sesame in it. Kinda wish there was a sauce bar available like how some hot pot places do it. Jazz cat gives individual portions of veggies and sides you ordered. It helps me to try more things. For the price, I do wish there were more or different "hotpot companion" such as meatballs and tofu skin to pick from. I'm not a fan of the corn kennel as it's individual pieces and will just swim around in the soup, refusing to be caught and eaten. BUT I do like corn, I think it'd just make more sense for it to be on a cob for hotpot. Lastly, gotta appreciate all the cut cat decor the restaurant has. Even soup pot holder handles are wittle cat paws!
2.5/5 stars (Vegetarian here, plant-based/vegan review included): Honestly...I'm conflicted. I wanted to love this restaurant because there were so many vegan and vegetarian broth options, but couldn't. I'm also confused by how Jazz Cat was able to maintain a high Yelp rating over the years. I called in to make a reservation on LNY & confirmed the time for 7:00 pm. However, when I arrived, the waiters were confused about our reservation saying they don't accept phone reservations and only go by the Yelp waitlist. They suggested that I called a different location and it was only until I showed them the phone number I dialed, did they believe that I called the right store. They eventually got things sorted out and let us to our seats. Aside from that rocky first impression, we were excited to finally try this classic hot pot spot for the first time. Unfortunately that was short-lived. We ordered four different soup bases: Taiwanese Satay (meat), Premium Kelp & Chinese Herbal (meat), Chinese Herbal (vegan), Mongolian herbal (vegan). The Taiwanese Satay was oily but lacked any depth in flavor, and all three herbal broths tasted like bitter water. The waiter recommended the Mongolian herbal and the Yuzu sauce (vegan) so I had hoped they'd be good choices, but even as someone who generally does not like my food too salty, I really think boiling some veggies in plain hot water would have been tastier. At the very least, it wouldn't have been bitter. The pros for my fellow vegetarian/vegans: The staff are knowledgeable about the vegetarian and vegan options. The veggie sets came out after the meat sets so we even received cute placards so other waiters could easily identify which pots were still waiting for the vegan items. The veggie set was also abundant and came with nice details like perviously frozen but thawed out tofu that would soak up the flavor of the broth better, and some nice variety of the veggies themselves. There's also three sauces that are vegetarian friendly (and at least one that's vegan, the Yuzu), which hasn't been the case for some other hot pot places I've tried. The interior is also dark and spacious, and they have nice cushy seats. Since each seating area is like a little booth with tall chairs, it does feel private even though the space is shared. However, for hot pot, the only part the restaurant really "makes" is the broth since you're cooking the meat and veggies yourself. So I couldn't really justify a high rating when none of our party enjoyed our orders. It's possible we could have ordered poorly, that it was an off day for them, or that we aren't the target audience for this restaurant. But frankly, after this experience I think you might be better off making your own hotpot at home yourself, rather than paying $100+ post tip and tax. Perhaps the restaurant can review its extensive broth menu and remove some of them that aren't as popular or could be improved on, and focus on making sure that the ones they have remaining to maintain the quality they're looking to serve to customers. read more

The food was so good, and for the price it was delicious. The broth was really hot but delicious. I went while it was pretty slow so the service was awesome. The lady was so kind and came consistently to ask us if we needed anything else. The bathroom was clean and the restaurant overall was super clean. read more
The last time I went to Jazz Cat was 10 years ago....so my lady and I decided to pay a visit to see if this place held up through the test of time. Unfortunately, it did not :( My lady got the sukiyaki and she said it was essentially tasteless. I got the spicy thai and it was fine, nothing memorable. It had a good kick to it. Onto meat quality...it was a miss. My lady got the pork (regular) and I got the beef (T-Rex). We both preferred the pork. The T-Rex portion didn't seem that different from my lady's pork portion. It makes you wonder what the regular portion for beef is like. My lady thought the meat was very tough, which was disappointing considering each portion was $20+ However, I left pretty full. They gave a good amount of veggies that helped fill me up. Overall, Jazz Cat was not as good as we remembered. I would definitely pass. Onto other shabu shabu places! read more

Used to love Jazz Cat a lot over the years, especially the OG one in San Gabriel, but I do think it's gotten slightly worse over the years. There are a lot of different broths in Japanese and Chinese style that you can try, and that's something that I still appreciate a lot over other hot pot places. One of my favorites is the Sukiyaki broth, but the Miso and pork bone broths are also solid choices. I like that there are different sauce choices too, and my go-to is satay sesame. The amount of meat especially in the T-Rex option has been consistent. I usually get beef and the quality hasn't changed too much. But the veggies and especially the noodles, has gotten a lot less. Prices have also gotten more and more expensive over time. I still will come here once in a while, but it's a lot less frequent nowadays compared to 5 years ago. read more

Meow-sic to my ears! Dark red walls, black leather booths, and jazz music? Are we in New Orleans? Jazz Cat has been my go-to spot for 15 years, and they continue to paw-sitively fill my belly with their feline-tastic hot pots. Their satay BBQ sauce is absolutely clawsome, packed with flavor with the right balance of oil to sauce that will have your taste buds dancing a meow-tang. Also, their spicy sesame sauce - it's like a jazz cat improvising on the spot, taking your tongue on a spicy ride - mix it with the satay to blow your mind! Their broth is always consistent, never fur-getting to pack a punch of umami. I remember going to the original location on Valley Blvd, and let me tell you, it was the cat's pajamas. The place hasn't lost its touch, like a cat that always lands on its feet. As for drinks, it's a one-stop shop because they have alcohol (beer and wine) and a full milk tea menu. Jazz Cat is the purr-fect spot for a meow-nificent hot pot experience. read more
Compared to its other locations, This Jazz Cat in Arcadia is the perfect definition of what an amazing Shabu place should be. We've been to this location over 10 times and plan on coming back frequently. Service is amazing here and the environment/atmosphere is very relaxing. The amount of meat and broth that they give you is abundant and the servers constantly check up on you to make sure everything is good with your meal. This location is the reason my girlfriend and I love shabu so much. Some of our favorite broths are the Japanese Spicy Miso and the Thai Spicy broth. I just recently tried the Taiwanese Spicy Broth and that one was pretty bomb as well! read more
We can to check out lunch Shabu Shabu. It was a great experience. We ordered the Lunch special Kelp broth with Premium beef and potato noodles for $14.99 withe a choice of Drink. Ice green tea. It was a very good portion for lunch. they have good selection of broth and meat pluse seafood. And incase you wanted the full cooking experience you can order the $16.99 they have more choices of broth, they have side orders as well that are priced good. The server Lance was very helpful, thank you! Safe and Ample parking in the area. Restaurant is clean, restroom is clean as well. Try itt- I think it's worth the experience. read more
This is one of my go to places for local hot pot when i'm not too hungry and i want hot pot. I usually do tend to go for momo for AYCE hot pot but this place is also good. I usually go for the T rex version of the beef for more meat than vegetables. The serving size is good and they have a bunch of soup bases you can choose from. Its kind of overwhelming with what you should choose but i found my favorite soup to be the creamy milk with kelp. The service for the most part has been good with each time i've been here. The wait has also never been too long. Parking is good as they have a big parking lot which is always much appreciated. The booths are very big and comfortable so there is a lot of space for you and family or friends. The inside has also always been clean. read more

I'm admittedly not the biggest fan of the shabu shabu/hot pot genre(s) in general. That said, my dining experience at this restaurant was satisfactory. The food is decent, the level of service is acceptable, the seating is comfortable, and there is plenty of parking available out front. You should be prepared to expect a long wait to be seated, as well as a (relatively) long wait for your order to be delivered to your table. The interior ambient temperature was quite low during our visit, so I would also advise that you dress warmly prior to your visit. read more
Jazz Cat is an OG SGV Hotpot spot. They used to be on San Gabriel off Valley. This location has way better parking and seating space. Not busy at lunch time on weekends. They took over the old DTF location. Service was ok. Food takes a bit of time to come out. We opted for lunch special ($17.99) instead of AYCE. I got Spicy Seafood Essence. Mom got Japanese Creamy Miso. Plus, we can get more than one sauce. Mom got seafood (came with 7 shrimps, squids, and fish). I got the beef. It also came with a drink (we preferred unsweetened black tea). The service was great. Met some friends here for dinner at 8 on a Sunday night and was surprised to see there was still a short wait (10-15 minutes). There were a lot of cars parked in the plaza. I'm happy to say that Jazz Cat is consistently good across all its locations, though I like this one and Rowland over San Gabriel. - Golden Fish Balls ($11.75). Pass. We tried this fried snack not knowing what it was. Turns out it's literally fried tempura balls, like the teardrop-shaped kind for hot pot. It tasted alright, but not unlike what my family can get at 99 Ranch. There was also roe inside, which I was not expecting as it's not my favorite. - Regular Angus Beef Shabu ($22.98). The meat was marbled and cooked up soft. I think I tried the Mongolian Spicy here for the first time (usually I get regular) and liked it. Veggies were the same set as the other locations: nappa cabbage, bok choy, tofu, imitation crab, fish ball, glass noodle, kabocha, egg. The rice was also good and chewy. read more
TLDR: Good portions and appropriately priced. Lacking in service, but still tasty nonetheless. - - - - - - Jazz Cat has always been on my "to go" list, and I finally went with a friend! Finding the entrance here is difficult, but when I visited at night, entrance from the street side was not allowed. We had to enter through the back. At 9pm on a weekend night, we were seated quite quickly. I ordered the Seafood Essence Broth with the Sliced Fish, and all the ingredients were yummy. My only annoyance was how hard it was to flag down a server to get extra broth or water. There were almost no servers who walked by to take care of us, but the table across from us had no problems being checked up on without flagging down a server... read more

a classic here at the sgv! this spot is tucked away in a small parking lot adjacent to a bank. ive actually came many times but went recently so now my memory is super fresh! LOL they have been selling the tried and true batches on hot pot broths, along with their sauces. i always get the pork bone and i found to enjoy the satay sauce the most! i think the arcadia location feels the most bougie because of the high booths and grand table with installed conduction stoves for your super cute cat shaped pot. the meat quality is great, given that i only ever order the beef option. i think the set menu with the T-Rex option is the perfect amount if you want a set meal. they do offer AYCE now I believe, i have yet to try but id like to! the staff is very attentive and nice. the ambiance is dim which caters to the theme. i think you can't go wrong with this spot as they have many broth choices that you're sure to enjoy! read more

One of my favorite things about this location is that it's hardly ever busy or have a wait. Air conditioning is blasting so no need to fear on a hot warm summer day. Got the sukiyaki broth and was solid as ever. Feel price here is about the same as it's always been and the quality hasn't changed much. Just overall a solid place to get individual hotpot. Also the fries are pretty good and worth trying it with the Thai spicy sauce! read more

|[ m e o w ]| I really like this place! Came back for the first time in years and it didn't disappoint. Everything was quick, efficient, and tasted really good. Love that the portions were just enough to make us feel satisfyingly full without the pressures of ordering unlimited to get "bang for your buck" lol. I have to say my favorite thing here has to be the broth. I got the creamy Japanese miso broth which initially tastes a bit bland but after cooking with the food for a bit becomes more and more flavorful until I've become addicted and couldn't stop drinking it even after I was too full. xD I also tried the pork broth which is really light but I def prefer my creamier one. |[ t o p p i n g s ]| The beef was thinly sliced with minimal fat and I really appreciate that! I'm not a fan of fatty meats lol. The fish filet was pretty plain itself but with the broth and sauce it's amazing. The veggie toppings were quite standard but enough. Also got egg dumplings which was great w the soup and sauce as well. |[ p u r r ]| You can prob sense a pattern, I really love my creamy miso broth and the Japanese sesame sauce I got. These 2 alone are gonna keep us coming back! Service was attentive and kind. My family and I had an unfortunate experience tonight with this Jazz Cat location. The manager on shift, Nora, was incredibly unprofessional in handling our situation and had no interest in reaching an agreeable, rational solution to our issue. As seen in my posted video, we were given four eggs for our meal. My mom cracked her egg in her seafood broth, and to our surprise, the egg came out extremely watery and had an incredibly foul stench. After a brief observation, the egg was visibly spoiled and had a green, mucous-like layer around the graying yolk. Our server was quick to offer a solution, asking if we wanted a replacement soup and egg. However, Nora stepped in the way to "handle" the issue. She brought a new broth bowl and questioned my mom on whether there were toppings in the bowl, evidently hinting at being able to replace the various toppings the broth came with. My mom replied yes, and Nora returned with a skimp amount of seafood (3 tiny squid slices and 1 tiny scallop). Nora handed the plate to my mom but immediately pulled the plate back to suspiciously question my mom a second time on whether she had toppings in her bowl. My family and I were surprised to have received such behavior from the manager--to question the customer on what was in the food (when the food was clearly spoiled) and to rudely pull the plate away from my mom to question her answer again. In addition, it is oddly surprising for the manager to be highly protective over a skimpy amount of seafood. We asked for our bill, and to our surprise, we were charged the full amount. I called Nora over to question the bill and explained to her that it was an inconvenience to have spoiled food during our dinner, and we didn't agree with our charged amount. Nora (quite literally whined) complained back, "But you said it was fine!!!"--as an individual with the manager position, this response was highly inappropriate and certainly not a rational way to handle the situation. I told Nora that it was uncomfortable to have the foul stench lingering during our meal and that I did not like her attitude when she pulled the seafood plate away from my mom. After I pointed out her unprofessional attitude, she said she could give us a 10% discount and walked away to reprint the adjusted bill. Nora came back to tell us that she could only give us 10% off my mom's meal rather than the whole meal--this certainly was not a rational and agreeable solution for us, but Nora quickly walked away and hid in the kitchen until we left. My table also noticed that Nora was quick to gossip and complain to her coworkers about our issue. After we left the restaurant, I saw Nora come out of the kitchen to check whether we left. As an individual in a manager position, this behavior is quite embarrassing. It is questionable whether this Jazz Cat establishment follows and implements proper food handling guidelines (i.e., keeping track of the expiration dates of their food) and has a competent individual representing the business. I do not understand why Nora thought it was acceptable to pull the plate away from my mom and suspiciously question whether my mom was truthful about what she had in her spoiled broth. I also cannot wrap my head around how Nora thought a 10% discount on ONE dish was sufficient to resolve our issue. In addition, Nora was completely unprofessional with her response to my comment about the bill. On top of all this, Nora was unapologetic, and we did not hear a single apology for this incident. She was quick to get rid of the situation rather than checking in on whether we were all alright and ensuring we agreed with her proposed solution. If there is a supervisor of this establishment, I highly suggest a remediation plan on professional behavior and how to handle such situations for Nora. Or, consider whether Nora is competent and professional enough to hold a managerial position and represent the business. From this experience, I fully believe that Jazz Cat Arcadia does not care for customer satisfaction and their experience. I am incredibly disappointed with my experience here, as I was a huge fan of Jazz Cat and have supported the various locations in the area. I would highly recommend taking your business elsewhere. read more
Can't go wrong with Jazz Cat when the hot pot cravings hit. My favorite soup base here is the Japanese spicy miso. It's not super spicy but still gives it a nice kick. Their hot pot comes with your standard rice/noodles, veggies, meat, and etc. I recommend trying out their Thai Satay as a sauce, I personally like it because it gives a tangy flavor and goes well with the meat. They also have a bunch of sider dishes that you can order from. Overall, if you're in the Arcadia area and craving for hot pot - check this place out. Jazz Cat will always be one of my favorites and I like their Arcadia location the most. I appreciate that they have a lot of options for broths. Make sure to join the waitlist on Yelp to avoid long lines during peak hours! You start off with choosing the entree, the soup base, and a sauce. For the entree, the regular and the T-REX are both the same price, but the difference is that the regular has more veggies than meat and the T-REX has more meat than vegetables. Don't forget to ask for cilantro, green onions, and garlic to add to your sauces! -- Japanese Creamy Miso [5/5]: I usually order their Tomato soup base but I decided to give their Japanese Creamy Miso a try this time. The Japanese Creamy Miso is definitely another one of my favorites. I ordered their premium beef T-REX which comes with more meat and less veggies. For the sauce, I got their Japanese Sesame. -- Combination [4/5]: The combination comes with fried imitation crabmeat, chicken nuggets, and squid. -- French Fries [5/5]: The french fries comes with a sauce of your choice. No live music. Sometimes light jazz music plays on the speakers

Yes, many of the broths have vegetarian options. If you look in the broth section, any broth with a green leaf has a vegetarian option!
