We went here this morning for breakfast to celebrate my Monday birthday (what can you really do on a Monday?) so got there right when they opened (which was earlier than even they said, a few minutes before 8:30 which was nice). They were not THAT busy when we ordered, there was a group of 4 and 1 other individual in front of us. We ordered two waffles: The Bresilliene (with Banana's) and the Strawberry one. The cost was reasonable (around $9 for each), and the people working there seemed nice. We were very excited so sat and waited...and then waited...and then waited....it took them slightly over 30 minutes to get us our food! There was no apology, and no explanation for the long wait. It looked like only 2 people were working, one making coffee the other making the food and manning the register---perhaps there just were not enough hands on deck? The waffles themselves were decent enough. Not too sweet, which was nice (and surprising considering the whip cream, ice cream, caramel, and chocolate abounding lol), but after waiting for so long (one of us had to get to work and the other of us had a baby who had gone from nice to fussy from boredom) we were not that impressed with what we got. The brie waffle was my favorite -- just imagine creamy but slightly salty cheese drizzled in sweet honey, with a nice crunch added by the candied walnuts. We also got the salmon waffle, which featured the ruby red Alaskan salmon that is naturally less fatty but still buttery thanks to the mozzarella ball toppings, and a proscuitto waffle with a sunny side egg and sliced avocado on top. Although it's small and you may have to wait to be seated, it's definitely worth the wait. It's a modern, simple and cute coffee shop/cafe type of spot. I ordered the Veggie Benny ($15) on top of waffles (you also have the option of having the benny on top of a bagel). It was honestly probably one of the better waffles I've had in my life. The waffles were so light it was like eating sweet air. The Veggie Benny included 2 waffles, asparagus, spinach, mushrooms, 2 perfectly cooked egg benny topped with hollandaise sauce, a pinch of sliced green onions, a small salad, 1 strawberry, and a few sautéed potatoes.
