I must say, this place took me by surprise! We were hungry and in the area and this place first popped up on Yelp. When you first walk in you see the decor and I loved the style of the restaurant. The staff was very friendly and gave us some information on what to order since it was our first time! I ordered the chicken wings, Barbacoa tacos, chicken quesadilla, sweet potatoes fries & Mac & cheese. Everything was great, but the chicken and sweet potatoes fries was AWESOME! My family and I enjoyed everything. The prices do match the food, so just be ready to spend $40-$50 for your family! read more

I got the "clawobster" roll I believe it was called! It was delicious and the menu is informative that some come cold or hot which come to find out makes a huge difference for people.... The one I chose was a hot roll. It was packed with crab and lobster... what could be wrong with that! The ambiance was okay nothing to keep me there for long! But that doesn't matter much cuz it fulfills the need to sit enjoy what you come for... which is the food! Service was quick style and I took my food to go. Yummy food, came here cuz a friend wanted to try lobster. We got the lobster roll and tail combo, the fries, quesadillas and the grilled cheese. The food came out in good time and everything tasted awesome. The lobster tail is a little tough but the taste overshadows that. Good portions and really good customer service, the cashier was helpful and eager to help us decide on what to order. They immediately cleaned the tables after people left and even gave us a free keychain. You can tell these people really care, would come again read more

Lobster roll was dry, just seemed slightly overcooked. There was a decent amount of lobster within the order, so can't complain about the portion of Lobster. It's just an okay spot . I wouldn't recommend or try to encourage anyone to try the food here, but there isn't another restaurant in Long Beach I would suggest for Lobster Rolls either. Order was prepared quickly, no waiting. Restaurant seemed clean, plenty of seating inside since the place was empty on a Saturday afternoon. read more

I usually order the lobster rolls but decided to try something new...I've learned my lesson. I decided to try the pizza but when I received it I noticed right away it was very small and did NOT look like the advertised photo. Then, when I picked it up and the lobster fell off, I noticed a hole that was previously covered up! The pizza was hard and I ended up not eating it. If you're in Long Beach and thinking about seafood, do yourself a favor and check out The Lobster Guys, this spot seriously blew me away. First off, the deal for two is incredible. You get two drinks, two appetizers, two entrées, and dessert, and somehow everything still feels high quality and generously portioned. It's rare to find a combo like that where nothing feels like an afterthought. Let's talk about the lobster rolls... absolutely loaded. They are NOT stingy with the lobster at all every bite is packed, fresh, and buttery. Easily some of the best I've had. The crabcakes were perfectly cooked with great flavor, and the coconut shrimp had that ideal crispy outside with juicy shrimp inside both appetizers were seriously delicious and set the tone for the whole meal. And the customer service? 10/10. Friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. You can tell they care about the experience just as much as the food. My boyfriend and I visited Lobster Guys for the first time on Sunday and we had such an amazing experience here. The food was great, vibes were great, and the service was even better. We're very grateful for the staff, we decided to dine- in and they were so kind & attentive. We tried the following foods: Connecticut Lobster Roll, clam chowder, lobster mac & cheese, Cajun shrimp pasta, crab cake burger, and blueberry cheesecake. Everything we tried was so tasty & flavorful. I'm still thinking of their clam chowder- since we're approaching cold weather season it's the perfect dish to pick up on a cold day. I could eat this soup everyday lol no exaggeration. Another thing to note, I'm really happy that they're not stingy with the amount of lobster or shrimp they use in their rolls/other dishes- you get a good amount for the price you're paying. Lobster Guys' has such a large menu, so there's so much to choose from but I'm very happy with the choices we made because everything we ordered was delicious. We're already planning our next visit to try other items on their menu. I really want to try their California Truffle Roll- so I'm definitely getting that next time. The crab cake burger is a must try- it was the dish that surprised me the most! I've never been a crab cake/salmon burger person but this crab cake burger was delicious!!! It was seasoned very well & very lemony which- I LOVE! Our lunch group decided lobster rolls for the day, so we ended up here and we were so satisfied! This restaurant is cute and relaxed. They have lobster, crab, shrimp, wings, fresh lemonades and the coolest Long Beach mural! Clam Chowder - WOW! It's was great! I'd get a small size and share as not to fill up and not be able to eat the rest of your meal. But it is pretty yummy. Lobster Bisque - this was good Connecticut Style Lobster Roll - I like warm lobster rolls more than chilled and they did a great job with this! The flavors were well balanced. They don't skimp on the lobster. Definitely recommended! Sweet Potato Waffle Fries - I got these as part of my combo and they were just okay. I like the usual fry shape with the powdery center. The waffle shape made it so the middle wasn't as good and kinda hard. I dipped it in the Garlic Truffle which was ok, but the Chipotle sauce was yum! Lemon Pepper Wings - these were chubby little yummers! Dry rub was good. I didn't try the other items, but my friends say the Shrimp Quesadilla, Lobster Grilled Cheese, and Mango Habanero wings were good. The calamari fries had a weird texture and we didn't finish these. They have some fresh lemonades, canned sodas and a Pepsi Fountain. Service by Maddie was amazing! From the moment we arrived we were welcomed with some yummy chowder, checked on regularly and she was very friendly and personable. Thank you, Maddie! Parking was very convenient in the shared parking. This is added to our lunch rotation. Definitely recommended! read more

Food- so many choices. We got thd lobster roll- 9/10. So delicious. Fresh. Omg. I would give a 10, but I have a 10 and they were a little less giving on the lobster. But still amazing. Fish and chips. - 10/10- this is it guys. Fresh and very big pieces. Just wow. Lobster taco- 7/10 Hmmm. Very good, shredded lobster though and not to chunky. Salsa is very good. Saw an ad for the Lobster Guys and had to rush over to give them a try, I'm so glad I did! A true 10/10 experience; from the kind welcome of the service staff, the clean cafeteria style dining room, to the flavors, the only wonder I had was why this place was empty during lunch on a Friday! The small Caesar salad was exactly what you'd like your salad to be, perfect size, perfect texture, perfect flavor. I appreciate that they put the dressing on the side so you can decide how much you'd like for yourself. I tried the Connecticut style lobster role and it was perfect. Presentationally, they stack the lobster on top of the toasted bun and provide a fork to submerge it. The flavor, temperature, and textures were perfection - a classic warmed lobster role, served with a bite sized vinaigrette house salad on the side. Their homemade lemonade is refreshing, with a more even flavor tone that balances what you're eating instead of distracting from it. I'll definitely be back! read more

My fiancé and I came here all the way from West Los Angeles just for the lobster roll and clam chowder! Seriously, we have never had clam chowder this good even in a fancy five star restaurant! A lobster roll is superb with the lobster, tender and juicy and don't even get me started on the crispy waffle fries that were amazing! Beyond the food was the service... The franchise owner said he has been open a few months and I'm telling you that he bent over backwards bringing things to our table stopping by asking what else we needed offered me a free yogurt drink that they make themselves that was delicious. Food was sit-down restaurant quality while maintaining a fast casual and inviting atmosphere. The game was on, they serve ice cold beers, and we were treated like guests. DO NOT BUY TOO GOOD TOO GO BAGS FROM HERE!!! Description says roughly $21 of contents and I'm lucky if I got the $7.72 that I paid worth as I only got a half a grilled cheese and some fries. When I walked in the guy said he forgot about the too good to go bags. I wasn't expecting anything crazy but come on a half a grilled cheese (on the ends of the bread!) and some fries. So disappointing. The grilled cheese was a plain grilled cheese on the end of the bread (if it had like the seafood in it I could see it being worth it but a half a plain grilled cheese?) and was chewy and the fries were pretty oily and felt refried in all honesty. First time trying this I went on a Tuesday around 11am. I ordered the lobster roll (warm style) and I got the lobster Mac n cheese to go. Both were delicious!! You order from the counter and then they bring it to your table . It is inside dining only but fairly spacious. Several tables for 4-6 and also several for 1-2 people. The also offer a rewards program if you sign up with your phone. I thought the food was pretty high quality for a strip mall chain . I've had some more expensive lobster rolls that were not nearly as good as these. I also like that you can get it warm or cold style. I will definitely be back!! read more

Great lobster rolls for a great price. Love the warm Connecticut style. Honestly better than the $30 ones you'll find at fancy places or overpriced food trucks. Fries are hot and crispy too. A lot of other options too - soups, salads, pasta. Owners are wonderful and caring people. Happy to give them my business anytime. They were giving out yummy free yogurt/granola parfait samples when we were there. Welcoming and gracious to the steady groups of people coming in the door. 10/10 would recommend. I was referred by a friend. My husband and I enjoy our Lobstah rolls from Off The Hook or The 908 since we're so far away from Massachusetts and Maine. The referral was surprisingly spot on. It's in a shopping center and not in the greatest area but don't let that fool you. This place has an awesome Connecticut Lobster Roll. We are absolutely returning and I highly recommend friends, family and who ever reads my review to try it. The fries were delicious too. The cost of a combo is a great deal. Service was great too! I'm not big on comments, even though that how I usually pick a new place ... but this place definitely needs to be posted about. We were looking for a yummy restaurant for Valentine's dinner, since we didn't want to cook. We were very pleasantly surprised by Lobster Guys. We ordered a lobster roll, lobster tail, mac and cheese, clam chowder, and a Cesar salad ... it was really good. We even made friends with a couple next to us who shared that their lobster bisque was spectacular. The owner was very friendly and attentive. I was excited this new place opened near me cause I love lobster rolls. I decided to try it out over the weekend, parking was easy in the shopping center with plenty of spots. Inside, the ambiance was nice and clean with plenty of tables. I decided to get the Connecticut style lobster roll since it was recommended on the menu. It was pretty good, it had a good amount of lobster and it tasted fresh. It even came with a little salad on the side that goes well with the roll. Based on my first visit, I decided to return. However, I was disappointed. I pre-ordered for a 8p pick up, but when I arrived at 8:03p, my order wasn't ready. First, the cashier couldn't find the ticket. Then he asked my husband if we were sure we placed the order at the Long Beach location. (It's clear that no one monitored the online orders.) To make matters worse, he proceeded to debate with me and tell me that the order wasn't placed until 8p. So we had to wait an additional 10 mins. He couldn't seem to get his excuses straight, to put it nicely. Instead of apologizing for overlooking my online order, he attempted to make excuses, debate, and humiliate us in front of customers. Back for our second visit for yummy lobster rolls! Here's a shot of his clam chowder which The Lobster Guys are very proud of so you must come try :-) I had the Connecticut again. Hubby had coconut shrimp and tots this time. He's on a "I'm trying everything so eating something different every visit" :-) They did not disappoint! Everything yummy and delicious. The fries are a little seasoned with a crunchy outside and a soft inside-very good. Tots are tots. But the rest is the best! Service is friendly and welcoming. The place is clean and simple. First time ordering from here. Walked in and immediately was told to order off the kiosk. The manager was the only one working the front. From how SLOW food was coming out probably one person cooking. We had to wait 40 minutes to get our food. Upon getting our food, I asked the manager if they are usually this under staffed. I ordered medium spice, which turned out to be "medium if you breathe fire for fun." The papaya was also a little more raw than I personally like. The tom kha soup was decent, but the real MVP was the drunken noodles with beef. Those noodles were absolutely swimming in savory goodness and perfectly soft. I would've happily ordered a second plate and called it "dessert." Overall, I'd definitely come back--mostly because those drunken noodles are already living rent-free in my head.

We were seated outside, which also looked nice at first glance, but I noticed quite a few spider webs around the windows. My boyfriend even felt webs brushing against his arm while we were sitting there, which wasn't exactly the extra ambiance we were expecting. We ordered quite a bit: spicy Pad Thai, Bang Bang Shrimp, Pad See Ew, mango sticky rice, and of course the Thai tea with the popsicle. I'll give credit where it's due. The Bang Bang Shrimp was easily the best thing we ordered and was absolutely delicious. The Thai tea popsicle also lived up to the TikTok hype, although the actual Thai tea itself was on the sweeter side. If you love sugar, you'll probably enjoy it. My biggest complaint with the food was the spicy Pad Thai. The flavor was great, but it came with what felt like a whole chicken farm and a cameo appearance from the noodles. I ordered Pad Thai, not chicken with noodle garnish. The Pad See Ew was also noticeably salty. Now you're probably wondering why I'm giving this place a low rating if most of the food was decent. Unfortunately, the service completely overshadowed the meal. When it was time to pay, my aunt was figuring out how much everyone needed to Zelle her since the restaurant only allows a maximum of two cards for split payments. While we were trying to do the math, our waiter stood over us watching the payment screen like he was supervising a final exam. He was clearly waiting to make sure a tip was entered. My aunt politely asked him to give us a minute, and thankfully he walked away. Maybe when you see a family actively calculating a bill, that's your cue to...actually give them a minute. Keep in mind we also tipped 20% despite all this. Throughout the meal, he did stop by our table, but it rarely felt like he was checking in to make sure everything was okay. If anything I felt rushed. He also gave off that "customer service smile" that disappears the moment you stop looking. The cherry on top for me happened as we were leaving. We had been sitting on the outdoor patio talking for a bit after paying, which is pretty normal for my family. Before leaving, I went inside to ask where the restroom was. The guy and girl behind the bar looked at each other, laughed, and then asked if I was a paying customer. Keep in mind, I was literally holding a to-go bag with leftovers from the restaurant. I responded, "Yeah, I just finished eating," while holding up the bag that made it painfully obvious. Only then did they tell me where the restroom was. Nothing says "valued customer" quite like being interrogated about whether you actually ate there while carrying your leftovers. It's unfortunate because the food had some highlights, and the restaurant itself has a cute atmosphere. But the service made it feel like customers are viewed more as transactions than guests. Between hovering over us during payment and questioning whether I even belonged there after spending money, I left feeling more unwelcomed than satisfied. I'll happily support a restaurant that appreciates my business instead of making me feel like I have to prove I earned the right to use the restroom after paying for dinner.

A couple things to know before you go: parking isn't great, and the restaurant gets busy. We showed up around 5:00 p.m. and only waited about 20 minutes, but I could see larger parties having a much longer wait. My go-to dish is the Pad Kra Prow Eggplant with chicken. It's a Thai basil stir-fry with eggplant, onion, and Thai chilis, and I absolutely love it. We also ordered the mussel curry, which my friend picked, and it completely surprised me. I wasn't expecting to enjoy it as much as I did, but it was excellent. The standout, though, was the Khao Soi Noodle Soup with sliced rib-eye beef. Somehow I'd never ordered the dish they're most famous for, and now I understand why. It absolutely lived up to the hype. The broth with the rib-eye was incredible and is something I'd recommend to anyone visiting for the first time. My biggest criticism is that the rice portions feel smaller than they used to. With how much delicious curry and sauce you get, I found myself wishing there was just a little more rice to soak everything up. I also noticed that the green beans in the Pad Kra Prow Eggplant are very al dente. Personally, I'd prefer if they were blanched just a bit so they were slightly more tender. If the goal is to add texture, I'd almost rather see crunch come from something like cashews instead--but that's just my preference. For dessert, we had the mango sticky rice and another dessert with sweet milk dumplings and red beans. Both were fantastic and a great way to end the meal. Vibes of the restaurant are great. It's a small venue, but they work quickly, and a staff was very welcoming. Overall, Chiang Rai continues to be my favorite Thai spot in Southern California. If it's your first visit, the Khao Soi with sliced rib-eye is absolutely the dish I'd tell you to order.

Orders the Maine Style roll, 6 pc buffalo dipped wings with Ranch & side of extra crispy fries. They have canned soda or fountain drinks. (I saw there is also alcoholic beverages available.) Everything was delicious and fresh!!! They have a self serve screen or order at the counter. The service was great and personable even with my husband not being able to find tap to pay at the self serve area(I believe the owner stepped in to help him out ). We also put in a take out order for my fam. ( ordered at the counter) which included another roll, wings and a side of lobster mac n cheese I stole half of the Mac n cheese which was just delicious! Can't stop raving about this location of Lobster Guys in Long Beach. I Had a bad experience with the Buena Park location but it's a complete turn around when gong to this location. Then cashier DQ was friendly and helpful. Offering suggestions on entrees that we hadn't tried before. This time we got the 2 person special and crab cakes. All the food was delicious. The dinning room was as clean as it could be and even the restrooms were spotless. Definitely worth the drive for us to come to Long beach location which is 12 miles away compared to the Buena Park location which is 3.4 miles away from our house, I would rather spend the time to drive further for the better service.
