I was greeted immediately with great energy and enthusiasm. Being my first time, I received delicious recommendations from the cashier. I ordered the Lobster Roll combo with regular fries and the Clobster Roll combo with sweet potato waffle fries, both Connecticut style. I was also able to taste-test clam chowder, which was delicious. The bread was toasted to perfection and the protein seasoned very well. The french fries were absolutely delicious, seasoned well, and crispy. The sweet potato fries are the best I have had. The menu pricing is decent, although the portion could have been better. Being from Wrigley, I can't say it was on my bingo card that we would get a lobster roll joint in the neighborhood and especially in this plaza. Needless to say I'm glad we have one though! Picked up to-go dinner for a family of 5 and it held together pretty well--everything still tasted fresh. We definitely got more than enough food but we were paranoid because lobster rolls tend to be small. Starting off with the sides, the lobster mac and cheese was pretty good. A decent amount of lobster on top and the noodles were just the right texture. Note that this is not a creamy type of mac and cheese but rather one that's quite gooey and sticks together. Not what I'm used to for lobster mac and cheese but definitely worth getting to share! We also got a order of mixed tater tots and fries which came out crispy and fresh--they were cooked just enough (not underdone or overcooked). It was pretty well seasoned too. We also shared a bowl-size clam chowder which came with plenty of oyster crackers to top it with. It was on the thicker rather than the watery side which made it a bit less soup like, but still with plenty of flavor and clam chunks in it. The only thing I felt was a little lackluster that we got was the caesar salad--still good, but not quite as robust as the other sides. I think part of the problem was we got it to-go so the greens wilted a little with the heat from the rest of the items since everything was so fresh. We were curious about the wings in the old bay flavor and we were glad we tried them! They have a flavorful, savory breading around them that is almost reminiscent of fried chicken you'd get from American Chinese take out. Would get them again next time! Lastly, the star of the show - the lobster rolls. We all got various kinds: both Maine and Connecticut style crab+lobster (Clobster), and both a Maine and Connecticut style lobster roll. Everyone agreed theirs was pretty good and I would agree having eaten a decent amount of lobster rolls in the past. They definitely don't skimp on the lobster and it comes with a cute little arugula salad to eat which you can squeeze some of the lemon over. I've never had greens with a lobster roll but it cuts through all the heaviness pretty well with the lemon. Lastly, one of us got a lobster grilled cheese which still held up pretty well to-go. A good amount of cheese and lobster--one did not overpower the other. It came with tomato soup which was bright and sweet. Definitely worth trying. The service was super friendly! Parking is never a problem in this plaza. You can order online if you want to save yourself some time. Protip - you can write in the order notes when you want to pickup since there's no order ahead function. I went in for a lobster roll because i haven't had one in a long time. The Lobster roll tasted ok. The portion is very small and it was $27 after tax and tip. Quite expensive for what you get. I was still hungry. So, I placed an order of fish and chips. The portion was descent and it was not in my top 10 favorite fish and chips. That was $17 after tax. So, overall a little disappointing experience. They do have other things on the menu. So, you may find something that you like. read more

We ordered the Lobster Grilled Cheese (left) with tomato bisque, Maine Lobster roll, fries, and New England clam chowder. The lemonade and strawberry lemonade were good. They are both sweet although the regular lemonade tastes sweeter and the strawberry is tangier. The restaurant and restroom were clean and tidy. I would have liked to have a paper toilet seat cover. Connecticut Style Lobster roll combo with sweet potato fries: This roll is served warm, it could have used more of a sauce. I asked for a side of extra butter and that elevated it a bit for me. These were honestly the best sweet potato fries I've ever had, so good! 3. Cajun Shrimp Roll: the shrimp was fire, lots of flavor. Could have just eaten the shrimp and did without the roll. 4. The second I heard Lobster Guys were in Long Beach and got my keys and got in my car and drove to them in the plaza at Willow and LB Blvd. The place is very clean inside with wonderful decor and branding. I enjoy the red chairs which I would imagine was chosen because of they are the color of red lobsters. I was quite impressed with the menu and the amount of different ways lobster is served. I did want to just taste clean and fresh lobster so I opted for the main lobster roll and that was really the perfect choice because the lobster really stood out in that dish. The aioli and the bread roll the lobster was served in just made everything so much better. While I was looking at the menu the girl working there gave us a sample of the clam chowder. It was very creamy very hot full of flavor so I decided to get two cups of those. I was really enjoying my plate of food the main lobster rolls came with a salad and the clam chowder came with oyster crackers. Both dishes were extremely delicious very well made quality ingredients and I was really happy that I came here. I think the prices were really good for what you're getting because lobster's not cheap so I was thrilled about that as well. Food was surprisingly good, our team has all agreed that there isn't much available in the area for lunch, but this was a nice surprise. I had the Connecticut lobster roll with a ceaser salad. Ordered for delivery, the food was prepped and delivered quickly which was great as it was intended for our limited lunch time. With that said, our order was wrong, there were items missing and sizes were not what we ordered. I called to see if they could deliver the rest of our items. They said they couldn't but they did try to make it right and offered for us to come to the restaurant for the full order being redone, however we didnt have enough time to make it. So my review is limited by this experience. The lobster roll doesn't travel well, it was a little cooler than warm, and the salad that was placed inside wilted during travel, so I'm guessing the sandwich was originally warmer than how it arrived. The sandwich was overall good though, the flavors were there, and I do think the combo is reasonably priced. The salad was exactly what you expect from a Ceasar salad. Overall, I would consider trying them again, and if I do I will update my review of my opinion has changed. read more

Was craving a lobster roll while in Long Beach. This place popped up as one of the top spots. LOVE the huge menu with photos on the wall. I'm a visual person so something like that always makes me appreciate the restaurant. Everything looked so delicious so it was hard to choose. I usually like my lobster warm and I'm a fan of anything truffle. I looked at the Cali Truffle Oil roll but it's cold. I asked the employee if I could get the Connecticut but with truffle oil, and she said "Sure!" Perfect combo! The roll was really good. The truffle oil added a really delicious kick to it. I wouldn't recommend or try to encourage anyone to try the food here, but there isn't another restaurant in Long Beach I would suggest for Lobster Rolls either.
