Gleaming floors!
Mary Jo T.

WOW! The location is at First and Shaw, where the previous 'Thai House' was for many years. HOW they transformed the interior, is nothing short of AMAZING ! I couldn't help myself, I was taking photos as I came through the door, because it was THAT impressive! It is one of the cleanest, most pleasant dining environments in Fresno! Their floors absolutely gleam! Pleasant Indian music plays in the background, creating a peaceful atmosphere. We came in at the end of the lunch buffet about 45 minutes before they closed. EVERY dish on the buffet that we tasted was flavorful, fresh and perfectly spiced. I especially enjoyed the eggplant dish. With the buffet, you have a choice of roti or naan. We chose the garlic naan, and it was one of the BEST that we have ever had (and we have had our share)! If you enjoy Indian food, this is the place! There is yogurt sauce available for the fresh vegetables. And the 'Sweet Carrot' dessert (I think flavored with fennel/anise seed) was delicious. It would be helpful to have the dishes on the buffet labeled, for people like me, who can't always tell what the dishes are, by just looking at it (WINK-WINK). ;)

Went on Open Table to find a dinner spot and this was the first option. People are right that this restaurant is super clean and the food is flavorful and excellent. Our server, Sendeep was super nice. We would definitely come back.

This is my second visit to this venue. The food was excellent. I really loved the buffet as there is a wonderful assortment of curries, vegetable, and meat dishes. There's also some desserts if you still have room after trying everything. The staff are all very welcoming. The ambiance was great. I loved the background music, decorations and lighting. It had a very home-y charm. I highly recommend this venue. Will go again soon! :). 10/10

Murgh Makhni (Butter Chicken), Lamb Korma Lakhnavi Style, Palak Paneer Pasanda, Plain Rice

We came on a Saturday and were surprised they had the buffet open but opted to do dining instead. The butter chicken was our favorite. The chicken was tender, sauce was creamy and spicy just how we wanted it. The lamb korma was good but the lamb pieces itself were on the saltier end. The palak paneer was okay, with their paneer pieces smaller than what I've had at other places. The place has a nice formal feel and server was great. However we were sitting for awhile waiting for the check and no one informed us we had to go pay at the front. Overall, good place to have some Indian food.

My friend and I visited this establishment on a weekday evening and enjoyed our time there. More people were coming around 7/8 pm than there were present at 6 pm for whatever reason. This place bills itself as a fine dining establishment and it did feel that way. The servers were trained well and helpful when we were ordering. She also mentioned that since they are a newer establishment (around 4 months old), that their menu was small but they had room to make dishes that we might suggest if they had the ingredients, and I thought that was special. But we ordered the chicken tikka masala and the palak paneer. We ordered it mild, on a scale of mild to hot. The dishes were perfectly mild and not spicy at all. The spices were good, though I would say that the palak paneer could have used a bit more flavor. The chicken in the tikka masala could have been a little more tender, as it was bordering a little tough. I really liked that they brought out complimentary Indian thin chips topped with veggies and multiple sauces on the side. That was a tasty treat. The naan was freshly baked and delicious. My only thing is that the dishes did not come out hot, but slightly warm. But overall we enjoyed our food. We received warm towels to wipe our hands and mouth after our meal. Folks checked in on us throughout our meal as well. We were charged around $64 (includes tip) for the two dinner entrees, naan, and one side of rice, so this place is a little more on the pricy side. I would probably return and try other dishes.

I was happy to try a new Indian restaurant in town. The room is very open and a bit too bright, but it looked modern with some very cool pictures on the wall. Everybody there was super friendly and helpful. Our wages was extremely attentive, nice and helpful. Now for the food. I liked that we were able to order the food at whatever spice level we wanted ( 1 to 10) as we all have much different tolerance levels. .We ordered the tandoori chicken which came out quickly on a hot plate and it was delicious. Afterwards, we got the Palak Paneer (spinach and Indian cheese- my go-to dish whenever I eat Indian food )an eggplant dish, and a lamb dish. The flavors in the eggplant dish were good but the other two were a bit bland. The big issue we had with it was that it was swimming in grease. It was all over our plates as we ate. It was a bit much. On top of that, it was a bit pricey. But it did feel a little upscale. I hope to give it another chance in the future.

Gulab Jamun

Mirchi Masala delivers an exceptional dining experience from start to finish. The food is incredibly fresh, full of flavor, and clearly made with high-quality ingredients. The service is attentive and welcoming, and the atmosphere strikes the perfect balance between vibrant and relaxed. And the gulab jamun is the best I've ever had! Easily one of the best spots in Fresno. I highly recommend!

Butter chicken

Atmosphere was nice. Light and modern. Service was good and attentive. Menu was extensive lots of options. Potato and curry samosas were very tasty nice and crispy outside. Butter chicken was good but a little bit more tomato flavor than what I am used to. Garlic naan was to die for. Curry mushroom was really nice and good as vegetarian option. We also had friend fish seasoned well and slightly crispy. Overall great experience would recommend.

Chicken Rogan Josh

This might have been my favorite Indian experience in a restaurant. The soup, Murgh Shorba was spicy and delightful, and the Chicken Rogan Josh was fantastic. It was late on a Friday and they treated me amazingly well!

10/10:Service 10/10:Atmosphere 1000000/10:Food The best food in Town! It was absolutely delicious. Please have their chicken tikka masala with their mango lassi. Owner & Servers were so kind and down to earth. Definitely come here and enjoy your meal. Highly recommend for tasty authentic Punjabi khaana

2/15/25 Hot and new! Must try! Getting lunch! 2 veggie samosas and salmon with veggies ordered. The worker was kind and said it would be ready in 20-30 minutes. I went to get it shortly later. Very nice, classy restaurant. Lots of seating! Definitely pricey! Hope it's good! A worker greeted with order in hand. Paid for it with a guy staring me down and not really welcoming at all. Why? Odd. I smiled at him and he gave me a stern look. Don't get it. Thankfully, after paying, 2 kind workers said thank you and I was honestly, really happy to be leaving. Lunchtime! Order split! Veggie samosa was good. Small, but they gave us 3 in 1 order. Extra. Really good sauces with it. Salmon with veggies was really good! Nice flavor with the way it was seasoned, sauce that came with it added a nice spice and fresh veggies. Mother said hers was really good. Good service from the kind workers & good lunch! Recommended!

This place is off the chart. The service is unreal. We had multiple people tending to us and each was so respectful. I don't usually like Indian food and this place knocked my socks off! I will be back regularly!

When I left around 1:55pm, the line was out into the parking lot. $30 adult, $2 fountain drink, $36.45 with tax. I was greeted and sat at my table and my drink was brought out quickly. The tables, silverware, and plates were clean. There is hand sanitizer at the entrance. Next time I'll bring gloves though. It's busy, but not too disorganized, it seems people were going the opposite direction of most buffets, so at times, I couldn't tell if I was cutting in line or not. Everytime I went to get more food, my previous plate was removed and any spills cleaned. Even though there are a ton of people eating and walking around, it's surprisingly not that loud. The food: Grilled Brisket - not tender tastes like a chuck roast (pot roast) Cajun mussels- sweet and spicy Stuffed mushroom-breadcrumbs, flavorful, juicy, sweet earthy Butterflied fried shrimp- crispy and cooked well Hofun - flat noodles, semisweet, al dente, has onions Baby bok choy- tender and crisp, bright and lightly seasoned Pot Roast- savory, semisweet, tender. Better than the brisket (blasphemy) BBQ pork rib- sweet bbq sauce/glaze, kinda dry, but decent Green beans- steamed and sauteed, lightly salted and garlic, cooked well Salmon nigiri- delicate flavor with great rice Shrimp nigiri- clean flavor, mildly sweet shrimp Cheese mussels- sweet, cheesy, tender, plump Tuna Sashimi- firm, tender, not fishy, slightly oceany, clean flavor Grilled steak- nice char, but well done, so chewy and tough Sausage- bright and savory flavor. Kinda tastes like a breakfast sausage. I have never been to Golden Corral and it was selected by my boyfriend who loves GC for quantity reasons. I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. Sherrie was our server. Sherrie walks around with a huge friendly smile, is quick to offer extra likes cinnamon flavoring for coffee, check if we needed anything we couldn't locate, and pick up and bus all the tables. We felt beyond welcomed and it was a homey feeling, like we were at a friend's house! I am a huge fan of menudo. I decided to try the menudo was actually shocked. Don't get me wrong it isn't completely like an abuelita was in the kitchen making it, however it was edible. It had a clean smell and not a barnyard smell. This is an accomplishment that surpasses most "authentic" Mexican restaurant, and I experienced it at a buffet. The only thing missing for me was tortillas and fresh cilantro and onion.. Butttt we don't complain over here .. so I'd rather not have cilantro and onion over tasting cow ass.. I walked over to check out desserts and happened to catch Alicia F doing temperature checks. This alone would have sent me over the roof happy. Food quality and cleanliness coupled with customer service bring me back to places that have mediocre food time and time again! Will I return: QUITE POSSIBLY... I walked in noticing the support of sending military kids to camp!! This is big for me having so many friends and family who have served our country and the state of affairs during this time. They fit the bill but it was extremely crowded, a lot of the food was precooked, packaged and fried as needed. It was hard to get to the drink station because of the number of kids. I did have room for a half and half ice cream cone. I probably won't go back just because of the crowd and no option to only buy a one trip salad bar. The concept is unique and functions a bit like an all-you-can-eat appetizer-style setup. You are given a checklist of various dishes and can order as much as you want, though you do have to pay a fee for anything you order but don't finish. Because of that, I made sure to focus on the premium options like the fried shrimp and ribeye, though I sampled a good variety of other menu items too, and I definitely felt like I got my money's worth. If the evening price feels like a lot, the staff let me know that their lunch pricing drops to around $20. That seems like an absolute steal and easily gives you the best bang for your buck, though the dinner price certainly wouldn't discourage me from returning. The food here is easily a 10 out of 10 and tastes absolutely amazing. The quality of the dishes is definitely the highlight of the experience, with the cleanliness of the establishment coming in a close second. The restaurant is incredibly clean, and you constantly see workers moving around keeping the place spotless. The service takes third place here, as it can be a bit slow when it comes to getting drink refills or checking in on the table. However, it is an incredibly busy spot, so the pace is entirely understandable, and someone did always make sure to stop by and check on us eventually. The overall atmosphere is excellent, and I would absolutely come back here to celebrate birthdays or fun group events.

This place has been in my regular rotation since they opened and I have never had a bad meal here…read more The concept is a family style hot pot restaurant where you cook your own protein, vegetables or noodles in a flavored brother. You can pick between 1 and 4 different broths per pot. Each table has one cooking stove top, with the larger tables having two. The broths range from vegetarian to mild, to spicy to meat based. Everything is a la carte with the exception of some premade combinations bundling a variety of like items. There's various meat and veggie combos as well as a seafood combo. I always order the veggie combo which comes with a lot that's easily shareable between 4 people. It comes with various greens, mushrooms, cabbage, corn on the cob, cauliflower, and carrots. I don't eat red meat so I stick to their sliced chicken breast or the shrimp balls. My other favorite is the bean curd sticks which is a good meatless protein option. As for broths my two favorite are the Chinese Healthy Herb and the kimchi. I also like their salted crispy chicken appetizer (popcorn chicken). Steamed rice is also a must for me. They have a dipping sauce bar where you can make your own dipping sauce to accompany your hot pot. With the exception of the broth adding flavor, the meats and all the ingredients you add to your hot pot are unseasoned. It includes everything from soy sauce and fish sauce to garlic, fresh chilis, vinegar, and crushed peanuts. Whether you like to keep it simple, mild, or spicy there's a sauce you can create. The ambiance is pretty nice. It used to be a Chinese restaurant years ago and they did keep some of the things the same. They have 3 different TVs inside. The two larger ones on the walls each play a different Kdrama and the one above the register plays Kpop music videos. They do have one larger table that I think accommodates somewhere between 10-12 people (don't quote me on that) and another that can fit 6 or 7 people. Majority of the tables sit 4 and a couple sit 2. Depending what day and time you go, it can get pretty busy and you might have to wait a while. The staff is always friendly and helpful. At the end of the meal they give you orange slices and hard guava candy. Their orange slices are always so good too and a good palette cleanser at the end.
