Haven't been to a sizzler in years and after tonights dinner, I sure wont be coming back!! Cashier had an altitude, didn't really try to give us options for our meals, let us know what deals they had, until we started asking her questions, and she was acting like she had better things to do! As me and my husband sit down to eat, our sever comes, with a unpleasant mood, and then we noticed cashier had made a mistake on our receipt. We got that solved and cashier still gave my husband a altitude even though it was her mistake for putting wrong item. We got our food it was okay, we could of use more lemon but our server was concern about others then us, didnt even offer my husband a refill, once she brought us another dish, she just pushed our plates in, like okay just ask we can move them! Very rude servers . She got mad because they messed up my order and was be so rude and disrespectful. They messed my baked potato up and instead of her just taking it back she refused and tried to argue with me about what i ordered. The food was not good I ordered a medium steak & lobster the steak came out burnt and over done & the lobster was made long enough overall it was just a waste of $40 and I suggest no one goes here because the food was not good at all & the service was even worse the cashier didnt know what he was doing couldn't explain the menu properly. This sizzler was a lot better than one I have been to back home. This one was more opened, the waitress was great and there seemed like there was a bigger selection at the salad bar. I loved their honey wheat rolls! The sizzler back home had the plates and bowls out for people to get themselves. At this one, in order to get a plate and cup from the salad bar you had to go to the register and ask for one. Dont get me wrong this is good for them so people dont get away with getting a free meal but it is an inconvenience to stop a waiter and ask for a clean plate to replace the first one I used. I am giving this sizzler location 5 stars. The restaurant was clean, the staff was friendly and attentive. Our server Michael was wonderful! We ate there before taking a trip to NY. The location is right near LAX convenient to long term parking lot C. The food was exceptionally good, the buffet was well stocked with fresh food. I can't believe that in this day and time people aren't we strive to customer needs. I rarely eat buffet but I like the salad bar at Sizzler but after ehat happens to me on Sunday I may never return. My wife and I decided to eat dinner here it was kinda crowded so I told here order and I'll get a table but as I left her in front of the cashier I stated get me the Salad Bar and she had the steak and lobster. After 30min into the dinner I realized I needed another set up and more napkins so I proceeded to ask one of the staff. She said where r u sitting i pointed it out to here she went to get what I assumed the items for me a few minutes went by and I noticed she was back at the window running food. I pondered she couldn't have forgot me that quick so I went to ask here . Where is the fork and napkin she looks at me with a blank stare and says you only paid for a side salad. Okay so ifvthats the case why was I being waited on early on with your knowledge. Why didn't the first person that cane to table to check on me say anything. She assumed I was trying to steal a meal. Really...now I know this sort of thing may happen but you have to treat customers with a different type of sensitivity. I told the manager who understood and comped the meal although that's not what I was looking for. I was looking for The server that was rude to be disciplined in customer r service it never happened and for that reason I will never return. Hello all... If you ever buy the Steak & Lobster meal, I would highly disregard you do so. First I paid the extra $2.00 for the bigger steak. When my meal came the steak was still very small...especially when you are paying $22.00 + tax for the meal. You would expect a nice size steak. As for the taste, it was ok. The Lobster was a joke. It looked as if the meat was pulled out, then the meaty part was used for another dish. Then they laid a 1/2 cm sliver on top of the tail to look big and plump. It was sad. As for the taste it was way over cooked for a small sliver of Lobster. As, for service it was ok... But the people are not educated on the menu. I asked a server/waiter about a sign that read "All meat cut on premises." She looked at me like a deer in head lights. Also the lady at the counter is petty... she wears glasses has her hair in a ponytail wears hoop earrings curly hair, lightish brown hair. Rude! I used to go Sizzler in San Jose all the time when I was a kid and decided to take the parents for a nostalgic dinner for their last night in LA. The service was great, our food came out quickly and was hot, and their salad bar looked really good. We went out for my wife's birthday. Because we normally only get the salad bar, we could not find the sides for the entrees. After having two employees pass us, without stopping to ask if they could help us, we went up to a register where a gentleman was working. We asked him if he could tell us which sides were available, but all he did was smile at us, then go into the back. Right then, another employee (we later found out to be Frank, a manager), came walking up to the register, while on his cell phone. He was saying, "Of course I'm at work...", when he finally acknowledged us. Instead of helping us, he just pointed to the next register and said, "They'll help you down there", in an abrupt tone. I then said to him, we need to know the sides so we can choose what we want with our order. He then seemed frustrated, pulling the cell phone off his face, and quickly running through the sides. He then walked over, grabbed the "sides" menu, smacked it down on the counter, and walked away from us. The ironic part of this, is that everything else was great, from the food (steaks), to the server who helped us. It's just that Frank acted like a complete jerk, which dampened the mood for a while. I'm visiting from out of town, This Sizzler Is located directly behind My Hotel. I have had lunch there twice. The food Is very good, great service. I had the salad bar, they kept it well stocked with fresh food and the salad bar was always clean. The only reason I could not give the five stars Is because the restrooms needed much attention. This place needs updating. The salad bar is old and has minimal items compared to most other locations. And how is a kids salad bar 6.99 salad bar dinner $12.99 when they are the same items? My grandmother, aunt, and I attended this Sizzler and by far, I would have to say the service here was horrible and shocking. First off, we ordered a steak and shrimp that came with one trip to the salad bar. We also ordered two salad bars. The cahier did not explain to us theat we had to pay full price for both salad bars. Usually, you pay $5.99 for the salad bar when you purchase the meal. The manager JAVIER LUGO came to our table in an abrupt manner, and embarssingly told us that we had to pay full price, which was fine. But he grabbed the plate from my grandmother, before I could pull out my wallet. I explained to him that he was being rude and treating us like we did not pay at all. First of all, the cashier should have communicated this to us first, and since it was the cahier mistake and not ours, he should have either let it go, rather than making a big ordeal. We did end up leaving right away and the other customers at the table who witnessd what happened have encouraged us to call corporate. i would say i had a better time here the 2nd time around...instead of orderin a meal and havin the buffet...i just got the buffet...the salad bar tasted good as well as the clam chowder!! what needs improvement is the pasta and meatballs...but overall better experience the 2nd time. read more
