The Dirty Pepperoni Pizza * Marinara Sauce, Mozzarella Cheese, Signature Pepperoni, Hot Honey
    Buenafe S.

We stopped here for some dinner, we were sat pretty quickly. The dirty pepperoni pizza was so good. The hot honey on top was delicious. I liked the option of fountain sodas. The agave vanilla cream soda was my favorite one out of the two I tried. The Korean BBQ wings were also very good. The inside was nice, kind of a bar style scene and good music. It was a fun relaxing place to eat.

Oh boy. I have been wanting to try this pizza place for a hot minute now. Of course I choose a Friday night where it's going to be busy. But that's the fun of it. I ordered a half pepperoni half Hawaiian pizza and an order of buffalo wings. The pepperoni pizza def hit, but the part that got to me was that the dough felt very chewy. Like I had to pull away quite a bit after biting because it just felt.. stretchy & chewy. So the dough wasn't my favorite part. Pineapple does not belong on pizza so I didn't try that side. The pink ranch was cute, I def tasted garlic notes so I kept the vampires away. The wings-- dry as hell. Drrrryyyyy. Like Mojave desert, Death Valley, sand dunes dry. Just looking at them I was like wow. I'm not excited to try this. But here we are. Never reordering. I personally wasn't the one to order and get the pizza to comment on service or the ambiance. It's in DTLB, so go figure, there's 0 parking if you plan on dining in, otherwise throw those hazards on and pick up your order (which is what I did). I do plan on giving this spot a second chance, I'll have to try it in person next time. But as a takeout experience for food--- meh.

A pizza place within walking distance of me? Say no more! Dirty Pepperoni serves up my new favorite calzones and hot honey pizza - and I've yet to try their sandwiches, but am sure I'll love those too. I usually end up asking for a medium Dirty Pepperoni pizza with the pink garlic dipping sauce, absolutely scrumptious. I like that their crust isn't too heavy, and slices pull apart easily. They even have a late night personal pizza for $10 at 10pm. Dangerous, in the most delicious way possible :) Restaurant is located on the corner of Broadway and Linden Ave., which I believe has free parking after 6pm. Inside, be seated at the bar, a table, or the balcony which can be rented for group events. The poured acrylic floor is a fun aesthetic and my favorite thing is how you're able to peek into the kitchen from the outside and watch them cut the pizza pies with a huge blade! I typically order takeout, but have found service here to be phenomenal as well! The last time, they even offered my rescue dog Darby a couple slices of pepperoni (which he was all too happy to accept). Come for lunch or dinner - everything's good!

Dirty pepperoni is the newest pizza spot in the DTLB area (which always makes things fun). They are soft opened so everything I mention may change later. The vibe is very city, moto, almost New York (but not with the pizza). There's even a motorcycle parked up on the loft above. The menu for dinner had a lot of things crossed off including salads, their popular sandwich, wings, Mexican coca cola (which is a big hit), and had scribbles from alcohol not being available to having available written. Once a menu is ironed out, there probably will be a beer list somewhere besides looking over at taps. My SO and I shared a medium dirty pepperoni pizza, and each had our own can of soda. The pepperoni on the pizza was great, the hot honey drizzle was a sweet play with the pepperoni. The pizza was thin crust, and cleverly served on a serving tray with tiny holes which I'm guessing helps prevent it from sitting in its own grease entirely. The thing is, even as eaten as quickly as we went after it, it started sagging and folding downwards. The tip to eat this is fast, and to fold it. Seating wise, I believe there's room for 18 in total indoors unless you sit at the bar. The loft above is a no-go. There's two couches to sit at but no tables, so maybe it's a good spot to lounge with a beer. Service for us was quick and sweet. I forgot our waitresses name but she checked in. I did notice that tables finished their entire pints before getting their pies so this may be a point that still has some ironing out to do (growing pains are part of the process). After everything, we still left hungry. A medium super thin crust pizza can go down pretty easy. That makes this spot probably best for lunch IMO. It was $29 with change in total ($22 for the pie, $2.50 each can of soda, and tax). I know the pizza around here is competitive; this price range is difficult for what it is (and it pains me to say this knowing the rent here must be astronomical). Maybe they can figure out a deal with the blind donkey or something, or get a soda machine to make things a little easier. Idk. I may return because the salads actually looked tasty.

I come here so often that I can't tell you the last time I WASN'T here. Since I've stumbled upon this place, I've been their #1 fan. Kumari has always been such an amazing server. The service here on top of how amazing the pizza is, is what makes me come back continuously. Kumari is always a breath of fresh air but this time I also met JJ, Mina, and Mo who are also just as amazing! Love this place, the food, and the servers. :)

Learned about this new pizza place in DTLB from fellow Yelpers that I met recently at the LB Yelpies. It opened in October and is still in the soft opening phase. It has a small, focused menu, centered around a very good thin crust pizza. I hadn't taken a long downtown walk in a while, so decided to walk the eleven blocks or so to pick up a variety of items and bring it back for lunch. My wife and her mother agreed: everything was tasty. I arrived a little before 11, and the doors opened promptly. Lorraine was manning the front with the chef/co-owner manning the back. She explained that the ovens hadn't been fully warmed up yet, so would take 20 minutes before they could start baking. Wasn't a problem for me, so placed and paid for my order, re-confirming that it was a carry-out. She warmed up quite a bit as I waited, offering me a complementary beverage (got some fruit infused water) and giving off better vibes for receptiveness of questions. I was admiring the 12 taps built into the backwall, and she pointed me towards the nitro tap that currently spews Modern Times Nitro Cold Brew...pretty sure my wife would love that (with me gravitating towards the cervezas and Blue Moon). The items came out as they were finished, with the calzone first, sandwich second, and the medium pizza last. I had to try a slice of the pizza immediately, and it was excellent: thin crust but solid enough to be crispy in the middle and hold as much toppings as possible. The dough was quite good by itself. Ended up eating another pizza slice before heading off as the world's slowest pizza delivery guy. It took a while to get home, because I wanted to stop by a nearby bakery to pick up their happy hours specials at noon (reconfirming my initial reaction that that bakery is not a place for me). Medium Dirty Pepperoni ($21.99) - really good quality spicy pepperoni, very tasty but not overly greasy (no need to blot out the grease on top with a paper towel)...would be perfect on top of a Detroit style. The crust was still good, but had gotten a little soggy. This is a pizza that needs to be consumed as soon as possible. Dirty Pastrami Sandwich ($16.80) - the other menu item mentioned frequently in reviews. It uses a freshly baked flatbread made from the same pizza dough. It's a well constructed sandwich, with a lot of pickles and banana peppers if you like a lot of vinegar on your sandwich (which I do). The quality and quantity of the pastrami was just OK, though. Calzone with two toppings ($17.50) - made with the same pizza dough, this was disappointing, especially for the price. The dough is better when cooked thin, and has enough heft to support a lot more filling than what this had. Been searching for a really good calzone since my college days, and this wasn't it. There's some good online articles about the trio that are the proprietors. It's a good story, adding to the mystique/origin of locally owned pizza joints and doing a good job of explaining why we should be supporting this business. They don't offer pizza by the slice, so need to bring some friends and have pizza and beer on-site, and devour that great pizza. Note: I carried the pizza box (along with the sandwiches in my backpack) while walking back to my home...got more than one shoutout across the street from local denizens asking for/demanding the leftovers...either word about the quality of this pizza has gotten around or the homeless are becoming even more brazen.

Tried Dirty Pepperoni for the first time last night and was extremely disappointed with the service and experience. I was in the Long Beach area and decided to give this place a try that i've seen on tiktok. It was a Friday night around 9PM, not extremely busy inside but a good amount of customers. From the moment we got there it was a little chaotic. Very confusing system of where to order/ ask for a table to dine in or just get some assistance in general! We finally got helped and were seated at a booth table that was very small and crammed (definitely uncomfortable). There was only 1 waitress at the time and she was juggling more than 6 tables, so it was very hard to get assistance from her which led to the service being terrible. Our waitress was very inattentive, we only saw her when she took our order and gave us our food. No check ins at all we were ignored for our whole experience. Once we got our pizza our waitress did not give us any plates to eat with... which was weird because that's usually the first thing they give you at restaurants. But anyways, it was extremely difficult to reach her and ask for plates we had to get up and wait until someone at the bar could get us plates. We also ordered wings, which did not come out until almost 20 minutes after the pizza!!! Seriously ridiculous we had already basically finished our food and were about to cancel our wings but again like I mentioned it was so hard to get any assistance AT ALL!! Also, our waitress completely disappeared after we got our food we could not find her and there was no one helping out at any tables. A while after that a new waitress came in and started helping out people who were waiting to be sat. This waitress was even worse! She was terribly inattentive, rude and just in her own world. There was a table of guys which it looked like she knew and I kid you not she was at their table talking to them for the remaining time we were there. She full on was standing there chatting not doing her job bringing them out free pitchers of beer just hanging out.... Does anyone do their job here? We were not checked on or assisted at all! And it looks like we weren't the only ones, so many other people weren't being helped. Not to mention several people walked out that were waiting to be sat because of how inattentive and unprofessional they were! I've never had such an unusual experience like this. Very understaffed from the looks of it. Please don't come here unless you don't mind the lack of customer service and professionalism! The pizza itself wasn't bad. Very honey forward you couldn't really taste anything but the honey. I'd say a 6/10. The wings were burnt but they weren't too bad. I wouldn't get them again. Very disappointed in the service of this establishment. Extreme improvement is needed this was an awful experience. Definitely will not be coming back anytime soon at all!!!

Show this on my IG and wanted to make the drive out here! I was in the mode for a good pizza so i went with the dirty pepperoni with Marinara Sauce, Mozzarella Cheese, Signature Spicy Pepperoni, Hot Honey. It was thin crust and very good. Also ordered the dirty pastrami sandwich (Pastrami, Honey Mustard, Pickles, Provolone Cheese, Banana Peppers, Fresh Baked Flat Bread) which was also good. Told them no pickles and they added it anyways. Everything tasted fresh and the vibe of the place is very cool. They have upstairs and downstairs seating. The interior design looks great! Food Rating: Dirty Pepperoni Pizza 8.5\10 Pastrami Sandwich 8\10

Food: the dirty pepperoni was delicious, the crust wasn't too doughy and the flavor was just on the spot with the hotness honey and the pink sauce was really good. Definitely recommend the pastrami as well!! Service: was good, attentive and friendly staff. Ambiance: modern and sporty vibe. Definitely will come back here and hopefully they when water to provide, at the moment they are only serving bottle waters which are $2.50.

After weeks of seeing this place on TikTok I finally gave it a try. I believe this place is fairly new. I showed up right at opening and a lovely lady greeted me ; who was also the server. Shout out to that lady who worked about 5 tables at a time. There was really good music playing . The booths seats don't have that much space but they give you a city view . So I order an 8 piece chicken wings . I tried to mix flavors but that's not an option so I decided to get garlic Parmesan . The wings are crispy just how I like them but they lacked the garlic Parmesan flavor. They had other flavors that sound really good like Korean bbq .Now the star of the show The dirty pepperoni pizza ; traditional pepperoni pizza with a hot honey drizzle. But far one of the best stone grill pizza I've ever had .I've already made plans to take some friends cause the pizza is phenomenal 10/10

Good, New York style pizza in prime location of DTLB. Good for groups! The interior designer deserves 5 stars. Floors, decor, it looks great. We went during the soft opening, so there was no alcohol being served yet. The large pizza was HUGE... way more than what 2 of us could finish. Great value and good pizza. Definitely want to try the calzones and salads. It took about 30 minutes because they make it fresh. It's in the heart of downtown so we just explored the nearby shops and hung out outside. Parking: street, metered

The Pastrami, it wasnt your typical and that made it amazing

My wife and I were trying a Thai spot when we saw great looking pizzas being brought to people at outside tables so we had to go and give it a try. So glad we did. The place is pretty cool and bigger than expected. They have indoor and outdoor seating as well as some common tables in front of the entrance. Service was good. It's an order at the front counter and take a number to your table and they bring the food to you. We went with three family members and got two different pizzas and both were so good. One was a loaded pepperoni with a hot honey sauce and the other had ricotta cheese with pepperoni and pickled jalapeños (the red ones). Absolutely delicious We also ordered fried onion rings (which I did not try as I don't do onions) and fried zucchini sticks. The sticks were very good but I was thrilled with the dip as it had dill and I should have just asked for ranch. I'm told the onion rings were very good. They came with a honey mustard sauce dipper which went great with the zucchini sticks by the way. We saw some very good looking chicken wings being served to other tables and plan to try those next time. Parking in this area can be tough at times however it's worth the effort believe me.

We'd be happy to come down again in traffic, because it's absolutely worth the drive here. Some find the pizza sizes small or the prices high in comparison to your average pizza joint - but your average, everyday pizza place in California is just...ew. Their crust is very thin, Neapolitan style in a brick oven, beautiful and a little chewy, slightly-charred from the brick oven. Amazing texture. Traditionalists, so we just got the Margherita and Bianco, adding some mushrooms and a drizzle of truffle. SOO good. We also tried the fried zucchini blossoms, which were very light and not oily at all. Caesar salad was very delicious and fresh, also had the octopus, which was perfectly grilled and like eating steak. To finish, we had some amazing coffee with tiramisu. Wow. Not usually a fan, but their tiramisu was super light, not overly sweet, and super good. Thanks to our wonderful server, Diana ! Super friendly and everything came out quickly. Eveything is delicate, fresh, lovely, and makes you feel like you're in Italy. Can't wait to be back. Tutto bene, grazie!

We were not disappointed! The ambience there is really nice. Has an outdoor open front and plenty of tables to sit down and enjoy the company of friends and eat really good pizza. I want to say I want to give a demerit to the fact that it's a very open place and there are a lot of tables and there was a single person doing the entire service for the whole entire restaurant, including the bar paying for stuff and serving all the tables. However, this person was really really really good at handling the tables. Thank you for making an enjoyable day

A sign is posted at the bar. So how long does a THIN pizza take?? I guess just about the same amount of time... that should be disclosed because I'm under the impression don't order deep dish if you don't want to wait long. Sit and wait, sit and wait, sit and wait.... The least the waiter could do was check in and update. I had to grab waiters attention myself to ask for an update. They said it usually takes 30-45 mins. And as we asked, we were told our food was being plated. Almost was about to leave too... Ordered a salad & meatball panini too. Salad came first per request, my aunt finished that way before the pizza were even served. And the panini... it's a sandwich with fries. How the heck that also take so long??? See another table who came in way after us get their fries. We ordered fires too with panini. So what's the hold up on the panini??? Maybe they want to serve the food all together. Overall, the salad and panini were basic items on the menu. I'd skip on it & focus on their pizzas. The pizza was delicious. Other reviews say it's worth the wait. I'll give credit to that. There is a nice cheese pull and the texture in the thin crust was awesome. It was a soft crunchy crust. We got a regular pepperoni & the Bestseller with added sausage & garlic. Recommend if you like garlic. It extra flavor.

We came to meet some friends for drinks and a pizza. I remember walking by this place a while back…read moreand noticed it. It was quite lovely on the patio. Mid week when we arrived which wasn't too crazy. There was no one on the patio which was nice as it gave us first choice for a seat...lol... Everyone was seating inside. The place itself isn't that big. You have the bar area with some bar seating. Then there's a couple of tables inside and of course the patio which is along the sidewalk. Personally I prefer sitting outside for the people watching. The staff were all amazing and very friendly. Places like that make the experiences more enjoyable. You want someone who is friendly and respectful. As we were there early, we grabbed one of the beer which they have quite a good selection on tap. There's also wine if you're not into beer. When it came time to grab some food, we were able to get a table inside. Majority of the breweries tends to serve pretty much the same things, pizza sandwiches and salads. No complaints here. Simple food goes a long way. There were a couple of us so we grabbed a few things to share. Started off with the pretzel balls with cheese dip and honey mustard and the chips with queso cheese dip. Pretzel was tasty and outdid the queso dip. Pizzas of course which were pretty big in sizes. A couple of the pizzas and a salad did four of us with leftovers. Their Hawaiian pizza was quite tasty and was finished. We also ordered one of the mushroom pizzas with an egg. It was tasty but a little on the salty side. The arugula salad was delicious. Simple but tasty. And then there was ham pizza I believe with onions and peppercini. That was also a favorite of the night. Overall, the place was quite fun. Not a big brewery and more intimate. The crowd was great and as most places are very kid and family friendly. There was couple of kids when we arrived. Service was great. Food and drinks were enjoyed and the service and staff were excellent. Street parking available along the front but also along the neighborhood.

We ordered the veggie pizza, the pepperoni pizza and the BBQ chicken pizza, lemon pepper wings, and hot wings, and the potato wedges. Our party had roughly 15 people and that was more than enough to feed us all and we had plenty of leftovers. The veggie pizza and the pepperoni pizza were DELICIOUS! The cheese is so good, and they do not skimp. The BBQ chicken pizza was good but we all thought it needed more BBQ sauce. The wings were crunchy and full of flavor! The wedges were cut to a decent size, seasoned well and crunchy on the outside. Their ranch is also great, I am not sure if it's made in house but it tastes like it is. The staff were incredible accommodating, super sweet, and made sure we had everything we needed. They were showing the baseball game so the TVs were a little loud but overall it was a really great place. It was the best way to end the night after graduating with my masters degree! Woot woot!

The pizza had sesame on the dough end of it, never seen that. Anyway took a bite, mid, nothing you can't literally get at any spot around your house. We ordered a half and half pizza online for pickup and spent over $30 for pizza and a 4oz container of ranch. They told us it would be about 20min when we ordered so we got ready and left. We got there probably 15min after we ordered and grabbed two cokes while we waited. I tried to pay with cash and was told he might not have change to give me. I said that was ok even though it's pretty lame that you don't keep change in your register. He happened to find a very large coin bag and made me change. We were sitting right at the front and you couldn't miss us. They asked us a few times what our name for the order was and we told them the same thing every time. Finally after about 10 min they asked us for the 3rd time what our name was and then walked away. We could hear someone say "the order for Kymmy didn't leave they are here" or something along those lines. We kind of just looked at each other. The guy that rang us up came over and said, "sorry something happened to your pizza it'll be another 20min or so". At this point we had already been waiting about 15 min for the pizza. So we said ok because we were starving. One of the employees asked us if we drank wine we said no we didn't and that's why we were drinking cokes. He said, "ohh, okayyyy..." and gave us a very judgmental look. Like sir, you don't know why we aren't drinking. We also kind of figured he wanted to give us a few beverage for the mix up. But that was the end of it. We heard someone say our name and we asked if ours was ready and one girl acted like we were being impatient while waiting. Like we didn't just wait over a half hour for food. Finally our pizza was done after a total of 40 min and there was very minimal apology for the delay. We took it back to our hotel and we were so excited it smelled so amazing and it looked so good. I cannot tell you how disappointed we were when we took our first few bites. It was not that great. We had ordered pepperoni and the veggie pizza. We ate half of it because we were starving and very quickly regretted it. It made both of us super sick on top of everything else Needless to say we won't be back here and won't be recommending this place either

Overall, it was solid--sauce had good flavor, cheese was decent, and the dough was nice. Nothing mind-blowing, but definitely a respectable slice. My only issue was the balance--there was a bit too much cheese for the crust, so even folding it New York-style, it didn't hold up well and kind of fell apart. A little more crisp on the bottom would've made a big difference. I also tried their Sicilian grandma-style focaccia pizza, and honestly, that was a huge letdown. It had this dusty, raw flour taste right away, was dry and spongy, and way overpowered with Parmesan. It just didn't come together at all--pretty disappointing, especially for the price. I've had frozen pizza that tasted better. Ended up just picking at the cheese to salvage something. On the plus side, the service was friendly and the space itself is chill--nice casual vibe with a few tables inside and outside to hang out. All in all, the regular slice was decent, but the focaccia pizza really missed the mark for me. Probably not a spot I'd go back to.
