Over the years it seems that Dominos (yes, a chain) had improved their product. Nothing like homemade, but relatively decent. That's why our recent purchase was so disappointing -- almost like backsliding. We'd ordered a pizza on their "Brooklyn style" crust online for delivery. The delivery was on time, and the driver was friendly and professional... the disappointment was in the delivered product. The toppings were correct, but the rest was not. The final pizza that we received was lukewarm at best, the sauce tasted bland, and the crust... seemed a tad under-baked, and limp. It did not seem like their "Brooklyn style," but something that was akin to their regular crust of old. Either we received the wrong crust, or their quality control at this location had seriously been compromised. If this were our first experience from them, we'd not return. But, hopefully this was an isolated incident, and things have recovered. Good pizza is readily available elsewhere; we'll probably take a break from this chain for now. read more

I was so bummed when Z Pizza closed on 2nd as it was my go to and they always made a perfect pizza and delivered with very friendly and timely service. Looking for another pizza place, the closest was Domino's here on Redondo. And with my first couple of orders I had pretty good pizza, and quick services. Then in the last month the service went WAY DOWN hill. Thus I will no longer be using them. Why? The last 3 times I ordered pizza online, I received completely mediocre pizza and a rather gruff and unfriendly delivery guy. The pizza arrived 2 times stoned cold. Though I ask for light cheese I received no cheese and skimped on veggies. The wait was longer than expected and though I was friendly at the door, tonight the guy basically handed me the pizza rather abusively and didn't even say hello. The previous time.. the driver was nearly looking for a fight. He said... Don't I get a tip? I said I'm always happy to tip when I receive quality service. (Which I have always in the past) But with the abusive service and poor pizza and already being charged an additional 6 dollars or so just for the driver to literally go 4 short blocks .. no way will I tip for abusive attitude. Then 1 month ago I ordered a 2nd pizza the arrived wrong. I call the location and told them and instead of sending the correct pizza.. the person on the line said..... Just eat it, we don't want to come back. I told them I'm vegetarian and don't eat meat (which was what was on the pizza) and the guy on the phone actually had the audacity to question my diet LOL. Tacky, poor mediocre cold pizza and employees with no customer service skills. There was one girl who used to deliver who was very friendly.. But again the last several times were ridiculous! There was one time too where I actually saw driver drop my pizza on the ground (it was in the box so didn't open) but then when I mentioned it .. he blew it off. I opened the box and some of the pizza toppings had slid off the pizza. Just absolute mediocrity .. Not worth the hassle. I have had better frozen pizzas from Whole Foods. I won't be back. read more

It's unfortunate that this location has terrible management of its orders. I put my order in online and kept track of it using their order tracker. As soon as I received the notification that it was ready, I went to the store to pick it up and after I paid for it, they tell me it's not ready and I have to wait another 20 minutes with no follow up. Ordered 4 specialty Pizza. All were good. Everyone chowed down on the Specialty Hawaiian. Definitely consider adding that pizza to your order. It has a nice balance of savory and sweet. The bacon was a little salty which went well with the sweet pineapple. The vegetation was also a hit with lots of veggies. Was not a huge fan of the pepperoni. The store did run out of paper plates early that night, even tough we put in the order around 7:45 at night. read more

I was so disappointed at trying Domino's pizza on Redondo Ave, I hadn't been to a Domino's in probably 10 years so it's in the neighborhood so I decided to try it. Ordered thin crust spinach/mushroom pizza and wings. it took a long time to deliver a few blocks, the Wings were warm and tasted almost as good as I remembered, the pizza was HORRIBLE. It was cold, hard, dry, the spinach an mushrooms tasted like cardboard and no sauce just awful . Needless to say I won't try Domino's again and definitely no recommendation here. In my quest to find some lunch hour variety, I'll try almost any place once. One place I never thought of going to was Domino's. After all, this is just a takeout place, right? Wrong, well kinda. This place has tables and chairs (outside) but I am not sure they expected us to eat there, at least when we ordered they did not ask eat in or to go. Neither of us had ever ordered from Domino's before so we took awhile getting through their confusing menu. With prices like $4.99 & up, we kept having to ask well how much is this one. We also wanted to vet out all specials. The guy working behind the counter was nice enough but he didn't have the "hook a brotha up" attitude. I ordered the Philly Cheese Steak Sandwich - $4.99, description: Tender slices of Steak - true Premium American & Provolone cheeses - I wouldn't call it premium. It was not bad but lack real cheesy taste Onions -yes Green Peppers - yes Mushrooms -yes layered on an Artisan Italian Bread - bread was good and not too big, not sure if qualified to be called "Artisan" baked to a perfect golden brown - true, it was super hot when I got it. Overall, it was just an ok sandwich, I wouldn't complaint but it ain't worth writing home to momma about. The place itself was supper clean and the parking lot was also clean (freshly paved). I must say, this pizza shop always delivers, and delivers well! I went online to dominos.com and looked up their coupons, and was happy with what I found. I was about to order a small 2 topping pizza, 8 wings and a baked sandwich for $22, but then I saw they had a section for online coupon codes! A quick google later, I came up with the code: 9177. 2 large 2 toppings for $8 each... total with taxes and delivery charge came to $19. MUCH BETTER DEAL! The two pizza's we got have photos attached, and now I have enough left over pizza for the next few days. Also, the new online pizza tracker, rating systems, reviews etc. are fun to mess around with while you wait for your food. Delivery was very very fast, and the food was piping hot (as usual). So, why 4 stars and not 5? Hate to say it, but Papa Johns still takes the cake in my book (well takes the PIE in the situation). Ya its a few bucks more, but its just better... I ordered my food online which was very convenient. My order was ready when I arrived. My pizza and hot wings were great but the overall experience was good. Even though my food was great, here is why I only gave four stars. Granted it is a small location but it was understaffed. There was a line out the door when I arrived and only three people were working behind the counter, not including the two delivery drivers I saw. Noel was making or getting the pizzas ready to be baked, the baker who thought he was the Wizard of Oz kept calling people's names from somewhere in the back and then their was the cashier who seemed to be a little overwhelmed by the whole thing. Not sure why they did not have any change in the actual registers up front. Everytime someone paid he had to go in the back to get the change. Oh btw, when placing my order they ask if you'd like red crushed peppers, parmesan cheese, etc and then charge you for it. First time I've ever experienced this anywhere. He handed me my food and change but did not give me these items. I ended up standing there for another few minutes trying to get his attention to ask for them. I didn't give them less stars for this because maybe it's an online/app ordering thing and not a store issue. Night was going well until I had ordered two boxes of pizza, a box of Parmesan bread bites, and a box of cinnamon twists with a 2 liter soda. I was excited to get home and eat all of the food with my family but when I opened up the boxes I found them filled with too much cinnamon and GREASE which was a pretty disgusting view. Domino's Pizza is good now -- seriously. If you haven't had it in a few years, give it a shot. For what you get, you can't beat the price. The online coupons make it even more affordable. What's different about the Redondo location is how FAST they are. I live near the Colorado Lagoon. From the moment I submit the order online to the moment it arrives at my door is never more than 15 minutes. I don't know how they do it -- it is consistently magical. I imagine someone waiting at the computer screen, knees bent, eyes wide, tense, springing into action the moment my order appears, carefully putting my order together (it always looks like it should, not rushed), throwing it in the oven, taking it out at precisely the right time, handing it off to an already waiting delivery driver who sprints to the already running car, flies into traffic, timing the light at Redondo and 4th just right, zooming through the stop signs, and in one smooth motion stopping the car, opening the door, swooping up the pizza and ringing my bell. That's an indicator of a well coordinated, quality team to get the job done so consistently. And somehow the drivers never seem like they are in a hurry. They always take the time to say hello and chat with my kids. Good job, Redondo Domino's. read more

Domino's Pizza lies!!! Had Dominos about a month and a half ago, much better than it had been. Ordered again a week later- Pizzas were not hot, missing an item, and delivery took over an hour (understandable- they were busy), we were sent new pizzas and told by Jose that we would have 2 more on credit. Cool! Ordered a week or so later- can't find credits... oh well, ordered online anyway. Roommates picked up pizza. They had to wait for a missing pizza and then sent home with the wrong pizzas. Called Jose, he told me a new pizza was on the way and we would have 2 pizzas on credit. Asked about the credit since we had 2 before and I couldn't find it on my account. Jose explained I had to call in and get the free ones with my number... Cool- so 4 pizzas on credit. Driver calls the wrong number (cause my phone never rang) and he never knocked on the door or hollard "Dominos pizza!" So he leaves... and we never get our pizza. My mom had to wait 2.5 hours for her pizza to arrive... Tonight... I call Dominos.. and Jose tells me there are no pizzas credited on my account. I've had a pizza show up drenched in grease, so much so that the box was drenched and left pools of grease on my countertop. I actually complained that time, which I never do. My wife actually said " it was really extra delicious". We ordered 2 medium pizza's, one cheese w/ extra cheese, and one w/ pepperoni and sausage. Both were made correctly and within the 10 minutes they advised. The staff was on the ball and friendly as well. I will be coming here now! The only negative I think would be the parking. They share the lot with a donut shop and doctors office, and there is only about 20 parking spots. read more

Came to this location because I was throwing a party, the online system for Dominos is easy, user friendly and the app makes it even that much easier. I've ordered at many different locations always a good experience the quality of the pizza is always great too. However, this day I placed my order around 10/11 AM for a later pick up for 5:45 PM. The parking was easy the location seemed to be very prepared for orders as their cars took up about 5/8 parking spaces ( as a customer kinda disappointing). When I got to the location at 5:40 my order wasn't ready until 5:55/6pm which I didn't understand since I placed the order early and the party was starting at 6 PM. All in all I was expecting with such an early order and picking up the delivery myself l the food would have been ready on time. Will I order from dominos again? YES this location?
