Horrible Customer Service. My husband and I stopped by Jersey Mike's Sub in Pleasanton as we were both craving their sandwiches. This is by far the worst Jersey Mike's I've been to. They got my order wrong. I asked for wheat bread and received white bread. My chicken Philly sandwich was dry, skimpy and tasteless. My husband ordered a sandwich without Onions and it was full of Onions. I told them several times no onions as he is allergic to them. It was totally disregarded. The counter top where they make the sandwiches was dirty and not sanitized. I'm sick to my stomach thinking about this place!!! They need to be closed down by the health department and/or rehire new, competent employees if there were to remain opened. Shameful customer service! read more

First time I have been to a Jersey Mike's Subs. The sub reminded me of the old east coast Italian Delis' when I was growing up. The place is clean and has a ton of people working there. I ordered the #13 Original Italian reg. with all the fixings and a regular drink. $11.60. It had a vinegar and oil dressing with it which was good. Two TV's on the walls and some tables outside. I rarely review chain fast food, but this place has given me reasons to do so. First, the place is super clean and attractive. Which is something I wouldn't expect from anything Jersey related. But it is, so kudos to the staff and management for pulling off the mundane chores of the behind the scenes. I respect the effort. Next is the customer service. They are pleasant, but I don't think their Pleasanton location had much to do with it. Just good hiring of positive people. I didn't need much help, but I saw others being helped as I ate my decent lunch. Finally the food. For chain fast food, this is top level. The bread is fresh and actually taste like bread. It has chew and decent cooked yeast flavor. 10 times better than Subway (sorry if I offend those of you who love the Subway...but you have options people!). The produce is pretty fresh. I kind of ordered right off the board with no modifications, but next time I'm throwing in more freshness because they have my trust. The meats are alright. Not legit old school Italian Deli stuff, but well above Subway, which again, I really don't classify as "meat". Maybe Togos level, that seems fair. I also love the vinaigrette that they douse their sandwiches with. Really gives it that old school flair. So yea, I'm a fan. Thanks Jersey Mike's for making me think differently of fast serve chains. The sandwiches are great but if you're looking to grab something quick, this is not the place. I placed an order at 1 PM online and the estimated time of completion was the order was 1:20. Got there at 1:25 and there were about 7 employees behind the counter making sandwiches for walk-in guests. I stand patiently for about 10 minutes before I'm acknowledged and the manager says it should be another 5 minutes. No problem. Another gentleman that was there waiting before me tells them to cancel his order because he's been waiting 45 minutes for one sandwich and it's taking too long. Despite this, I give them the benefit of the doubt and wait another 15 minutes. I finally tell them to please cancel my order because it's taking far too long (almost an hour total and 40 minutes past the estimated time) and I have to go back to work. I don't even get an apology or acknowledgment from the employee, he just nods and turns around. So I wasted my 1 hour break waiting for a sandwich that I never got and returned without having gotten lunch. As someone who works in food service, I understand the importance of prioritizing in-person guests but if you're too busy to complete online orders in a timely manner, DON'T ACCEPT THEM! read more

Every Jersey Mike's is very different. This should concern the franchise. As a Jersey boy, I love subs. Living at the Shore I patronized the original Jersey Mike's in Point Pleasant regularly. Every Subway is different but the differences are minor. I've ordered the same sub (#14) at 5 different JM's from the Bay Area to Sacramento and loved them and hated them. Whatever name they give it, it essentially a cheese sub. No meat, just cheese and all the fixings. Cheese is Provolone and Swiss. Should be all Provolone but, whatever. The number of cheese slices and the randomness of their thickness is amazing. I've had a truly satisfying cheese sub to lettuce and green pepper sub with a paper thin layer of cheese. I am now forced to stand and watch the creation of my sandwich to ensure adequate cheese which includes the offer to pay more for "extra" cheese. This should not be necessary. Bottom line, most consistent and best JM is in Danville. I go out of my way but is worth the drive. read more

I'm done giving this location my money! We keep giving it chance after chance and every time our order is wrong. This time I ordered a Philly on rosemary parm bread and asked to add lettuce, tomato, pickle. The employee wrote down my sandwich order and our second sandwich order and another employee started making my Philly and the guy who took our order made our second sandwich. Instead of him grabbing the bacon where the toppings are, he went by the grill and grabbed two pieces of bacon which tasted so old and dry. My philly came with no lettuce, tomato, or pickles and it was on white bread instead of rosemary parm. Once again it was a waste of gas driving there, waste of money spent on food there, and a waste of my time. At least this time we didn't wait 10 min to be helped because the employees were riding a motorized skateboard in the parking lot Next time we will be going to Ike's instead. read more

Normally, I avoid the franchises but these guys make a really good cheesesteak. The place was clean and the staff offered great service. We had to wait a little while for our sandwiches to be made but other than that, it was very good. Try their new chipotle chicken cheesesteak! read more

I have been to this location a few times and my advice is to download their app and order ahead because the line gets long especially during the lunch rush. The sandwiches are really good and the service has been consistently friendly even when they are slammed. I really enjoy the hot relish it's not listed as an ingredient on any of the sandwiches, you have to ask them to add it. It's just the right amount of heat and sweet! I also like that they offer a mini size sub which in my opinion is just enough since I can't finish the regular size in one sitting. read more

I am gluten free and was completely blown away by how thorough this location was about making absolutely certain there would be no cross contamination. The staff cleaned the entire prep area just prior to making my food, allowing me to eat my sub with no doubts or worries. PS the gluten free hoagie here is made by Udi's and is delicious. read more

My wife is from New Jersey and she really missed the authentic subs she loved in her younger days. We've been on the West Coast since the 60's and every time she saw a sub shop or a sandwich shop that advertised subs or hoagies, she would have to try it and was disappointed until Jersey Mikes finally entered the Northern California market. She's a happy camper, again! There are many other sandwich shops that offer subs and even call themselves 'sub shops' but none do as good a job. All the shops are clean and the assembly line operation is efficient so service is pretty quick even when there is a sizeable line. Ingredients are high quality. I always have the #13 on white roll and "Mike's way" (almost everything on it) and extra seasoning. It's made in front of you so you can tell them exactly how you like it. I sometimes ask for pepperocini to be added. I usually order the "regular" (12") and my wife orders the "mini" (6"). I sometimes eat just half of mine and save the rest for later. And they have a simple 'frequent buyer' program that is easy to sign up for and easy to track credits. It works well! All locations all over the country do a similarly good job. They are a reliable operation and we look for them when traveling if we're in the mood for a sub or hoagie. Jim read more

My wife and I love Jersey Mike's, the staff were very friendly, but was very disappointed with our order. My request was a #17, no onions and on white bread, my wife's sandwich a #16 was supposed to be on wheat bread. My sandwich had onions that I had to hand pick off and was on wheat bread. My wife's sandwich was on white bread. Had we not waited until we got home in San Leandro we would have returned both sandwiches. There is also issues of cleanliness and food safety. I witnessed the sandwich maker making sandwiches on top of the cutting board with old oil and lettuce. When he decided to wipe off the cutting board he pulled a dirty rag from under the counter, threw the rag back under the counter and proceeded to make another sandwich without changing gloves. Maybe I am just a germaphobe, but seeing that was such a turn off. Sorry to leave such an ugly review, but our lunch was spoiled by this disappointing experience. read more

I was the only person inside there establishment last night I ordered 7 giant subs..tipped them very well! I wanted to add another sandwich and they had a horrible attitude as if they did not want to make my sandwich. So I said nvm it's ok.. paid for sandwiches then went out to truck and decided I'm going to get another sandwich.. I get inside there is 1 gentlemen inside ordering as well.. then they guy that was taking orders seen me and told the other girl "she's getting another sandwich"... she was upset that she had to cut more meat for a sandwich.. I mean when you pay 100$ total including the tip I wouldn't think people would be so rude.. I mean it's your job.. shouldn't have an attitude when making sandwiches.. let alone a 15$ tip... not only that they were more into watching icarly the tv show then making sandwiches... they weren't really busy letting the phone ring over and over again like 50times.. then the guys tells me "I don't know why people don't get it if we don't pick up we are busy so call back later"... they had another guys just standing there and I'm thinking is he going to take my order.. this was my first and last time I will ever go to a Jersey mikes let alone this location. The staff here is always responsive and I had an order screw up on a delivery and was provided a couple of coupons for free sandwiches in the future. Two regular sandwiches and it felt like the bag only included the napkins as the sandwiches were just bread with the thinnest amount of ingredients (one was tuna and one was turkey and cheese).
