We live in the area and decided to walk over to Ocean Cafe this morning. We were so pleasantly surprised! The beach vibe and music makes for a laid back, relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Our bagel sandwiches were yummy and they have tons of protein shakes and even bullet proof coffee! I am always looking for places that do macadamia nut lattes and theirs did not disappoint! The staff member who took our order had a bit of a hard time understanding us, but that was the only slight hiccup we had at the cafe.

I ordered the Immune System and it came out brown. Normally beet juices come out more red. They said it was because of their recipe but it just tasted like blended ice with a splash of beets, spinach and a little bit of ginger. I would not recommend.

My favorite Vietnamese iced coffee spot. The Brazilian cheese bread is amazing here and gluten free.

Ordered a bagel breakfast sandwich online and it took 30 minutes to make -- for what turned out to be the driest bagel I've ever had. The bacon was soggy, and the whole thing was just disappointing. I don't understand the hype. Definitely not worth the wait.

Visiting from Vegas, walked here from my Airbnb with my cute Labrador. Got the original Acai bowl + added peanut butter to go. Was very delicious with incredibly fresh ingredients. Highly recommend!

Perfect little breakfast cafe that we were lucky to have close to where we stayed! I was surprisingly impressed with the prices, the food was delicious, I got Tuna salad on croissant, I loved the coffee and overall it was a nice experience. Acai bowl is top-tier! The staff was super friendly and the bowl was made to order. Their bowls have won a ton of awards (I can see why) and they have pre-made options in addition to "build your own" customizable ordering. I came in early on a Tuesday, so the cafe was pretty quiet and not crowded at all. I needed a place to work for a bit while waiting for my car to finish at the shop, and when I arrived I was a bit worried that Ocean Cafe wasn't the type of place that welcomes remote workers to hang around too long with their laptops. But, I found out later that they do offer free wi-fi for paying guests, you just need to ask for the password at the counter. The seating area is nice but kind of small, I probably wouldn't stay more than an hour or two, but it's definitely nice for a quick meal!

I see you! Not bragging about yourself and having a down low presence of location and signage out front. But the word is out! And I found about you so you know imma blab about you. I'm staying in PB and feeling cafe, sweet and tasty needs must be taken care of. The suggestion is thrown down, the Yelp research is done and off we go. Before and after I go there, multiple people say "I've never been there, but I order from the place all the time" That's because it's where the good stuff comes from. Parking is ample and it's a cozy spot if you just want to hang. They have breaky and lunch covered with savory and sweet. That Nutella croissant is a party in your mouth for sure. The vibe is super chill as well. Order delivery all you want. I'll still be going out on lookout securing the culinary perimeter.

I guess it is my lucky day, a friend bragged about this place, and I came for a coffee. I told Felipe the owner, who is extremely friendly, that I wanted a coffee with some protein, he made the best coffee shake I've ever had. It was vanilla and peanut butter flavor, so filling. Got a blueberry banana protein smoothie. It was really good, just the right consistency. My boyfriend got an acai bowl and it was just as good! It wasn't too sweet and had a lot of fruit in it. I was really excited to try this place because the first time I went they were out of açaí. I got the original (ocean) açaí bowl and it was good, solid, but not amazing or great. Honestly I think it's a little overpriced for how basic it is (strawberries, blueberries, granola, and honey). The people were really nice but I was left feeling a little disappointed! read more

The best iced pumpkin spice latte ive ever had! My boyfriend got one and it was so good and a couple days later we came back and I had to get one. Bowl was good. Tuna sandwich was good. After my kids soccer game we decided to go to this shop and oh my gosh. It's so cute and amazing! Their smoothies are so delicious and refreshing. I highly recommended going here! While there really aren't any "bad" acai bowls in the Pacific Beach area, this place has the best! Aside from being a great value for the money, they are actually in a bowl (too many places make them in a cup and give you a spoon too short to reach the bottom of the cup). My father-in-law and I go to the gym just down the street (Pacific Beach Training) three days a week and then stop here for acai bowls (a really great treat for two G.O.A.T seniors--Getting Old And Tired--after exercise!) Very friendly staff and owner. Been coming here for several years and aren't about to stop! read more

I always pass by this place in the morning for a smoothie of theres,they do have quite a good amlunt of varieties of smoothies! The server in the morning she's really nice cares for the place! Very clam chill place to get a snack or something, maybe work for a bit. Most importantly what they do have are plugs, latley what i have found out that most of the places they remove the plugs so people wont charge their laptop and wont stay long, however this place thankfully has a couple of them! read more

The Acai bowls are amazing. Fresh Acai and fruit blended, not a artificial sweet sorbet. This is the real deal. Ingredients are fresh and delicious. Yesterday, they were closed and we looked everywhere for a similar Acai bowl-nothing came close. Tried this place qwench and straight up threw the bowl out, it was so gross in comparison. Wanted something healthy and refreshing. A quick Yelp search later and found the Ocean Cafe. Parking was easy and abundant. Inside decor was simple but perfect. Not overly done and a great feel. The steady flow of foot traffic proved this was a local favorite. I had the large Original Acia bowl. Wow. A meal and a half! Super flavorful and filling. Very cute cafe i did not notice until today when I was picking up some jeans from the alterations place next door. Ordered a Hawaiian bowl. We were accidentally given an açaí bowl but we were so hungry and they are delicious that we didn't bother to change it. Many places do açaí bowls that melt really fast or just use store bought açaí. You can really taste the quality in their açaí bowls. Really liked the variety on the menu and will be coming back again...especially for that Hawaiian bowl! read more

I just finished my breakfasts that was delivered a few minutes ago and it was delicious! The bacon, egg and cheese croissant was outstanding. The croissant was hit, buttery and flaky. We ordered two acai bowls - one custom built and other was Nutella bowl. Both the bowls were really good. The reason for 4 stars is that the taste was little on sweeter side, and bowls felt little empty and it was filled with a lot of granola with very little acai mix at bottom. read more

Bagels were good but they handed my friend a cup of boiling hot tea without the lid on, which spilled all over her hand. One of the best Açaí Place in San Diego! I tried a lot of different places after, since I moved from Clairemont area to Mission Valley, and couldn't find a better one than Ocean Cafe. Nice customer service! When I used to live in Clairemont, I came to Ocean Cafe almost every other morning for breakfast to get my Açaí bowl. This place is super cute & is in a convenient location for a walk with my pup. The food & drinks are great, just be aware of what you're ordering. The loss of stars is for the subpar customer service as it weighs heavily on my decision of where to take my business. They were reluctant to even have minimal empathy for an honest order mistake. I ordered the "Power Bagel" & "Vanilla Caramel" coffee. I'm lactose intolerant so I always make sure I order the dairy alternative when called for and I unfortunately discovered upon receipt of my drink that their Vanilla Caramel "Coffee" is actually a Latte. When I asked to verify if regular milk was used in the drink I thought was a drip coffee, they proceeded to remind me that I hadn't ordered it otherwise. Noticing that they had a line, I stated that I had made a mistake not realizing I ordered a latte & stepped aside to wait. Once the line cleared, I returned to the front to admit again to my mistake in ordering as the menu is not clear of this drink being more than a flavored drip coffee & politely offered to reorder another properly. To my surprise, they offered no empathy for the honest mistake & rang me up for the 2nd drink with a menial 15% discount. Now don't get me wrong, I'm not completely ungrateful as they could've charged full price, but I couldn't even keep the original order since I can't drink it. This lack of compassion & at the price of one coffee has lost themselves a fiercely loyal customer. read more

4.6 Ocean Cafe is small little cafe tucked in the middle of Pacific Beach on Ingraham St. in between Grand and Garnett. Family run, the Brazilian couple / owners have infused their own Brazilian recipe into the Acai mix and it's quite ambrosial. The owners are very nice and friendly. The atmosphere is uninvolved, yet inconsequential as what shines is their Acai. The prices meet the demand. Best Acai bowl in PB and I'll be back to try the Blueberry Muffin protein shake pronto! read more

He guided me through the menu and made many coffee recommendations. I was in between the iced Biscoff latte and the iced Pistachio Rose latte, and I ended up getting the latter. We talked a bit as he was making my coffee since I was the only one there, and I found out that he's had this coffee stand since 2024, first in North Park and now in PB. He mentioned that his stand became viral through a Tik Tok video last year and that he is very grateful for it since he thought his business would only last 25 days. When I noticed he had used oat milk instead of whole, he immediately offered to remake both drinks. I told him not to worry about it -- honestly, the lattes were SO good it didn't even matter! But what happened next truly blew me away: he told me my entire order was on him for the mix-up. I insisted on paying but he wouldn't hear of it, and on top of that, he wanted to give my daughter a muffin too. I was speechless. That kind of genuine, above-and-beyond hospitality is so rare. The biscoff latte is an absolute must (even with oat milk), it was incredible. And the beignets with chocolate hazelnut filling? Do not skip them. The setup itself is charming! A cute picnic table alongside the mobile shop, fresh flowers nearby at the gas station, and just an all-around wonderful vibe. This man runs his business with so much heart. The restaurant wasn't packed with customers but they were definitely short staffed or something because there were two couples sitting next to us who were also waiting for their food. One couple was ready to leave when their food came out at that exact moment. The servers did apologize and told us that they were having issues with the kitchen. They also offered us all free orange juice. However, if they knew they were having issues with the kitchen then they should've told us earlier before we got seated so people could go elsewhere rather than waiting an hour for their food. Overall, service here was very poor. In terms of food, it was unfortunately pretty good but not worth the wait. I really liked the simple toast with matcha cream on top as well as the curry hamburg. My friend ordered the shakshuka (not pictured because it came last and everyone just wanted to eat at that point) which was also pretty good. For the avocado toast, the toast was too hard so I wouldn't recommend it. We also ordered a yuzu and matcha yuzu mimosa. Both tasted like yuzu. The matcha yuzu one was basically a green yuzu mimosa. They have a vero water purification system so their water was really good lol.

Ocean Cafe instantly became my favorite cafe on my first visit a few months ago. Cool modern interior, convenient location, and everything is DELICIOUS! "Real Brazilian Acai" isn't just a sign... it's how they do it! Simply the BEST acai bowls in San Diego and the best I've tried anywhere in the states.
