Came for a late brunch on Monday (but brunch is only on the weekends, so lunch it is). They still had a few fun brunch items on the menu though. Will have to come back on the weekend for their full brunch menu! There was no wait for a table and our server was really great! Good banter and recommendations. Quick service. The food was delicious and came out pretty fast. Loved the gravy on my chicken fried steak and the roasted peaches. The portions were very generous! The sandwich was like 2+ servings worth! The corn fritter was also delicious. And you can't go wrong with their BBB. Biscuits Bacon and Butted!

Amazing atmosphere, great service. Its both outdoor and indoor seating, a bar top as well. I was torn on the the food, its basically a hit or miss, but over all...most are spot on. I have been coming here on a regular basis for a reason! Foods alwaya been great, especially the bacon, biscuits and butter. The crispy pork was odd, the porl belly was crispy and tender, as a matter of facts, it was perfect! The thing that threw me off was the sushi ginger (tasted bottled) and the spicy tobatchan (bottled spicy paste on the bottom). Aside from this minor hiccup, the food they served has been spot on!

Always a great meal at Orchard City Kitchen. We stopped by today for lunch. I made a reservation at Open Table, though we also showed up when they opened so it probably would not have been too much of a wait. Their lunch menu is a little more straightforward than the dinner menu. We did order the fry bread appetizer which had a ton of cheese on it, making it very filling. I really enjoyed my sandwich, though it was gigantic! I always have an enjoyable meal here, fun place to sit. We love their outdoor patio. Also I was reminded they have a nice happy hour.

Came here a second time last night and enjoyed it just as much, if not more, than my first time. The menu was completely different and every dish we ordered was 10/10. You really can't go wrong with any choice here. Each dish had a distinct and different flavor profile and I'd love to go back and try everything. Service was great and food came out super quickly. I'll be back again soon

Hello, My wife and I ate lunch at this amazing restaurant today, the service was absolutely fantastic as well as the delicious food. The restaurant has a full bar as well as indoor and outdoor seating, there is a lot of space for large crowds inside and outside. The restaurant is extremely clean. The food and dessert were awesome and you have to try the butterscotch pudding for dessert. We will definitely be going back here with other family members. Thank you..

Meal with Beef Bourguignon, Honey Wings, Carrot Rice, Langos and GTS pour!

Stopped in a few weeks back and was surprised about the changes to the menu. The new change to a small plate French-inspired menu (maybe rotating style?). Overall, we were looking forward to the KFC and other OCK staples but found some new items to try. Server was very kind and allowed us to move completely under the overhang to avoid the early evening sun. He was quick and attentive although must've gotten busy near the end as we had to waive someone down to get the check. Overall, the meal had both high and low notes. Everyone enjoyed the Langos (fry bread) as a started. Kids found that most appealing. We ordered the Beef bourguignon, the honey wings and carrot rice. We did not see the KFC on the menu but on review it looks like it's available on the website. Both the honey wings and carrot rice had small flowers which were not our favorite. Not hard to pick off though but enjoyed it without. We also got the carrot rice with the chorizo on the side (wasn't sure how spicy for the kids). Best dish was the beef bourguignon which filled up our little ones. The other dishes were ok but will likely look to try the other menu options next time. Best part of the menu is their whiskey list!! They have some really good bourbons for very reasonable prices. I grabbed a GTS but probably would have gone into a couple more if time allowed. All in all, it's still a nice night out in a very busy location!

Went here 4 times and each time the service wasn't consistent. The food could be a hit or miss. The drinks was really good but a few of them were really strong. Each time I would be a new group here , but my brother didn't really like the food he ordered. Because it's not consistent I don't think I'll be coming back here.

Orchard City Kitchen seriously nailed brunch. We went yesterday and ordered a mix of sweet, savory, and drinks, and every single thing hit. The cinnamon roll pancakes were insane, fluffy, and topped with a cream that made it feel like dessert in the best way. The KFC (Korean fried chicken) was perfectly crispy with so much flavor, and paired so well with the sauce. We also got the BBB (bacon, bread & butter), and the bacon alone was unreal thick, caramelized, and honestly one of the best parts of the whole meal. The tater tot poutine was pure comfort food but a bit overwhelming with the amount of gravy and cheese making everything much soggier than I liked. I'd definitely leave that dish behind next time. The spicy noodle dish with the jammy egg and chili oil sauce was also a hit. It was simple but packed with flavor and had just the right amount of heat for a good appetizer. We also got a jug of mimosas (strawberry guava + passion fruit mango), which were so good--light, refreshing, and perfect for brunch. The vibe was lively but still cozy enough to sit and actually enjoy your time. Overall, everything felt really intentional from the flavors to the presentation. Definitely one of those spots where you leave already planning your next visit. Overall the staff and food were on par definitely have made a repeat visitor out of me now.

Came here for my 4 year anniversary because OCK was our first date location and we hadn't been back since. We were excited to see the Harry Potter theme! That was super cool. We came on a Wednesday so it wasn't crazy packed, but enough to create a good vibe. The food and service was just as good as I had remembered. Just glad we were able to spend this special moment back where it all began.

The good part: Service is always impeccable. Lots of seating indoor and outdoor, when the weather is great the patio is the best! Be sure to make a reservation, it does get crowded at time. Now for the ok part: They made some significant changes to the menu , they've moved from an 'Asian theme' to a 'French theme'. Gone are the KFC, garlic noodles and they made some significant changes to the BBB (not in a good way, imho). Now the negative part: They now add an additional 'inflation surcharge' with no clarity on what that is for, or who gets it. Seems it's a way for them to increase prices, without changing the menu prices. We used to go monthly, with these changes, it will be a very long time before we go back.

3.5% surcharge. 4/5: The Chefwich: $25. brisket, salami, ham, peppers, cheddar, slaw. Good brisket/salami sando. And it's huge; you can easily take half as leftovers. It's actually better the next day. Has some heat from the peppers. 4/5: La Ola cocktail $20. reposado, strawberry, cappelletti, ginger, hibiscus, piloncillo. Like a strawberry margarita with some layered complexity from the Cappelletti.

Orchard City Kitchen was such a pleasure to try out. The wait was a short 10min which was pretty good for a Friday night. We sat inside, it was cute, maybe just a little loud. The shareable small plate style was incredibly fun. We started out with the baguette and today's butter board (which had apples/pears) and were so excited to be handed a full baguette--nice crunch and soft interior. We also had the grilled artichoke, which had a lovely char and paired nicely with the sauce. We ended off with the lamb chops, which were incredibly soft and had a lovely char as well. The garlic and mint were an interesting pairing. We also tried their paradox beer and butter beer (surprisingly harry potter themed today) and enjoyed those. Bernardo helped us out that night and had such a chill friendly demeanor we loved--like talking to a friend.

Direction and Quality. My spouse are I have been loyally supporting OCK for 7 years. We've met a lot of great employees (Camilla, Nathan, Obe, MiMi, and many more). We even met Stout and his spouse in Napa. Flavor and creativity was strong and somehow, the magic disappeared after Anothony Bourdain cocktail menu. Mind you, we religiously supported weekly and sometimes twice in the week. The second to last experience (today) was ordering an old fashion, simple to make but takes practice to perfect a great tasting one. Mine came with 6 cubes of unbroken ice that was simply thrown together. This prevented us from returning for months. Today, we had the most disrespectful loco moco ever. A bland tasting porridge looking dish. Opposite from what it tasted before, earthy and smokey tones, seasoned patty, fluffy rice, and kimchi. Today, the rice was cooked with the bland gravy, rice mushy, and mushroom appeared to be added into the gravy as an after thought. Disrespectful to the Aina where loco moco was created. The aged salmon was another let down. Very light tasting citrus and salmon that appeared to be unseasoned and just seared and plated. Today, we bid farewell to OCK as our loyalty cannot be continued. Cocktails and food have slipped beyond immeasurable bounds.

Ask the Community - Orchard City Kitchen

    Any special treat for anniversary?

Not sure about anniversary, but for birthdays I usually let them know and they'll comp a dessert with some cute decoration on it and candles!

Does OCK allow dogs for outdoor seating?

Yes! They'll even offer a doggy water bowl!

Are reservations recommended on a weeknight? Say 5 pm on a Wednesday?

I think at 5:00 on a weeknight you'd be fine without a reservation. However, later in the evening or on weekends I'd suggest a reservation.

Is there a minimum per guest fee for larger parties (15-20)?

We went as a group of ~12 and weren't told that there is one. We did end up ordering at least 1 drink per person and some food to share. They will probably auto-charge gratuity.

What's their menu for happy hour?

It changes frequently, but is a small/limited menu.

Can I order food from lunch menu on weekends or only brunch menu available?

The menu literally always changes. I would call ahead to get a leg up on the day's menu

Does it have outdoor/patio seating? Is it kid friendly and provide high chairs?

    yes

Do you know if it's noisy to eat indoors? Some of us are hearing impaired....

We went at a packed lunch hour and it wasn't too bad. My gf--who has aphasia and can't take being in noisy situations--didn't have issues.

How long is the general wait on weekdays, and if so is there a way to reserve times between 2:00 pm and 4:00 pm?

On weekdays besides Fridays, you can usually just walk in and get a table these past few months. I believe on weekdays they're closed from 2:30-4 since it's the gap between lunch and happy hour/dinner

What is the average wait time for walk ins?

Depends on the day or mealtime, but if it's a weekend evening - safe to say 45 - 120 minutes. BUT…

    Gluten free options?

yes , many salads and meat only options .

During happy hour, is the full menu available?

    Yes

Do they have a corkage fee?

Yes $20 first and second corkage and $40 third (3 bottle max)

Do they accept Walk-ins? If yes, then how long would be the wait for a party of 3 on a weekday?

Yes you can walk in, but we had to wait about almost 40 min

Does OCK offer heaters for people dining outdoors?

We do have heaters, but nor for individual tables. Still - don't expect indoor temperatures outdoors.

Does anyone know their HH days and hours?

Yes. They have Happy Hour everyday from 4:00 p.m. to 5:15 p.m.

Does any one know if they are offering outdoor dining at this time?

    Yes, from 4-8pm.

How many dishes for 2 people? Are the portions tapa sized?

Depends on your appetite. I would say 3 dishes between two people is adequate. For larger appetites, probably 4 dishes.

Do they take reservations for lunch?

    Yes! (On Resy)

Anyone know of menu options that are or could be made vegan?

It was the perfect spot to enjoy the fresh air and made for a really relaxing atmosphere. The restaurant has a great vibe overall, especially if you're looking for an outdoor brunch. (Have not been inside) I ordered the steak chilaquiles, and I'd give them a 8.5/10. The flavors were really good, the sauce was delicious, and I liked the addition of the eggs, avocado, and queso. My only complaint was the steak. I ordered it medium rare, but it came out medium well, a bit dry and was tougher than expected, making it difficult to cut. It was still tasty--just not cooked quite the way I was hoping. The mimosas were good too, a great value. Nothing that really stood out as amazing, but definitely nothing bad about them either--they got the job done. What really elevated the experience was the service. Our server Rebecca was attentive, knowledgeable, kind, and incredibly quick throughout the meal. They checked in at the right times, answered our questions confidently, and made us feel well taken care of without ever being overbearing. Overall, I'd come back, especially to sit on the patio again. With a more tender steak, this meal would've easily been an 8.5 or 9 out of 10!! :)

Final Thoughts: 4.20/5.0…read more Contrary to many other opinions, I personally really like brunch. It really is more for the vibes and spending time with my friends and family versus the food sometimes. For some reason, this place has always been on my list of to-go brunch places, but I've just never had the chance to go here. After our matcha run, my friend and I decided to go here for brunch. It was around a 45 minute wait today. On their Yelp, appears to be quite the quaint place to to get food and relax. Will definitely be a 4 star for me. Food: Jumbo Crab Bene with seasonal fruit: 4.0/5 This is their fresh lump crab with sliced avocado, whole grain mustard and poached eggs stacked on lightly toasted English muffins, topped with scratch made Hollandaise sauce and garnished with locally sourced microgreens. This is served with either house potatoes or seasonal fruits. The lump crab is actually fresh crab I believe. There are some pieces of the shell that were still in there. I'm honestly not even mad because that's a pretty big indicator that it's the fresh crab meat picked out. The egg is nicely poached with a runny yolk. Hollandaise sauce is quite nice and light. The Dijon mustard was quite strong for me and did overwhelm some of the other flavors on the plate. It does add a nice flavor, but occasionally, it was too much. For the English muffin, it was quite thick, so it felt kind of dry. It's noted to be slightly toasted, but its somewhat hard to tell with the mustard, crab meat, and poached egg on top, which are mainly wet items. Avocado is perfectly ripe. I'm not an avocado person, but this one did it just right for me. The fruits came with blackberries, blueberries, strawberries, apples, cantaloupe, and honeydew. Very refreshing and needed after the savory foods. Philly Steak Sandwich with garlic fries: 4.0/5 This sandwich has grilled steak with peppers, onions, and mushrooms topped with provolone cheese on a toasted baguette with mayo and a light teriyaki drizzle. Will come with either a side of house salad or garlic fries. I really liked how they caramelized the onions and peppers inside of this. There's that additional sweetness from it that works well with the steak and cheese. Very tender meat. The bread also seemed kind of big and just almost dry too. Not too big of a concern given the amount of filling that they give. My friend choose the garlic fries and those were amazing. The cut is just right and the crisp on the outside is just so good. You can taste the garlic, but I could do with even more garlic to it. --------- Quality: Fresh Something I really like is that they use real crab in their jumbo crab bene. You can actually feel the tiny pieces of the shell in it, which usually means its fresh. The food did take a second to come out, but both were piping hot. My friends onions and veggies were quite caramelized, which is nice. Brings out a lot of the flavor component in the sandwich. The fries were actually so good too. I wanted the side of garli fries, but it was convenient that his came with it. Super crispy, nice size, flavor is good. May need a little more fresh garlic, but overall, really good. Price: Reasonable Prices seem reasonable for what they give. Initially, it does lean more on the expensive side, but their portion sizes are larger than your average brunch place. Prices will range from between $18 to $24, with a few outliers. Service: Very sweet workers Very nice service here. Everyone was sweet, greeted us, and checked on us. Our food did take a little longer than some others around us. For us, it was around a 25-30 minute wait after ordering our food. Even the table next to us that were seated after got their food first. The food did come out fresh, so I'm not really complaining. They did let us know and give us little updates about our wait and food though. Ambiance: Classic Brunch Spot The space is nice and looks slightly cramped inside. It was just my friend and I and they gave us a seat right in the corner next to the window. Honestly, probably the best spot for me and the person who seated us also noted that it was his favorite spot in the house. I didn't see much beyond from what was seen by the door. The space looks fairly small, but fit a decent amount of tables with walking space in between still. Always love the open kitchen. It's fun to watch what happens behind the scenes. Location/Parking: Large space It's located right on Saratoga Avenue. There is a Lucky grocery store here, so there is a lot of parking around. We really didn't have any concerns finding a space at all.

From the very beginning, Ben, the manager, made the entire planning process feel effortless. We met with him a few weeks before the party for a tasting, and he was incredibly generous with his time- walking us through every detail, answering all of our questions, and making sure we felt confident leading up to the event. His communication and hospitality were exceptional. We rented out a private section of the restaurant for about 50 guests, and it was the perfect size. We were even able to rent pipe and drape directly through the restaurant, which transformed the space into the perfect setting for my mom's masquerade-themed party. It created a sense of privacy while adding a fun, elevated, and exclusive atmosphere. The food was phenomenal. Our favorites from the tasting were the Wagyu beef sliders, chicken yakitori skewers, and especially the truffle mac and cheese. They also provided to-go containers and our guests were able to take leftovers home. The service was outstanding. We had a dedicated bartender and event staff who made sure our guests were taken care of all night. One of the most memorable touches was that Ben helped us create a custom signature cocktail for the party, and the team even designed a custom cocktail poster to display at the bar. It was such a thoughtful detail that made the event feel even more personalized. To top it off, we made a last-minute request for a microphone and speaker for my mom's speech, and the team immediately accommodated us without hesitation. They made it happen seamlessly, which says so much about how committed they are to creating a great experience. The restaurant itself has such a fun, stylish vibe, the music and DJ created an amazing atmosphere, everything was spotless, and parking was incredibly easy thanks to the nearby parking garage just a short walk away. If you're looking for a venue for a birthday, engagement party, corporate event, or any celebration where you want guests to be impressed, I would absolutely recommend working with Ben and the team at Wild Rose Eatery & Bar. They went above and beyond to make my mom's 50th birthday unforgettable, and I wouldn't hesitate to host another event there.

Wagyu sliders - $5 each. The pattie was a good size, and it was super juicy with some melted cheese on top. The buns were perfectly toasted and this was honestly my fav item we ordered 2. Fried calamari - if you enjoy bigger calamari rings with thin crispy breading, this place does it well! Comes with 1 red sauce and their green tangy aioli. The portions were pretty good on this dish as well 3. Mac and cheese truffle bites - these were huge! I was expecting them to be as small as top golf's balls are haha but it comes with 3 huge balls. The pasta noodle itself was cooked to perfection, al dente and not super mushy. I was pleasantly impressed with this one and it came with the same green aioli sauce 4. Tomahawk steak - $7 each, honestly this is a confusing one. I was expecting steak bites similar to how a regular carne asada taco is, but it came in one huge chunk of meat, which wasn't even the best quality or cooked well. This is a skip For drinks we got the mango deck drink and the presentation was super fun! They lit it on fire and the chamoy stick was soft and easy to eat. Drink itself tasted sweet and easy to down in 1 big gulp! Overall the happy hour items offer lots of variety and our server was great!

You can also check out the bar to see if there are empty spots and then you can get seated right away (I didn't know this!). Starting with appetizers, every table gets a complimentary chips and guac which is refillable and very delicious. The chips are very fresh and crispy which pairs well with both sauces. For the entree, my favorite is the salmon bowl. It has salmon, broccolini, sweet potato, quinoa, etc. which all pairs really well together. It's definitely a nutritious meal worth the price. I was surprised that their cheese quesadilla was so good - the flour tortilla is extra crispy and the sour cream, guac and salsa all go well with the pieces. Also another dish worth the price! For the drinks, they have a watermelon seasonal agua fresca and margarita. The watermelon juice is so tasty and refreshing for the summer. Also want to shout out the waiters and how they are so attentive and friendly. They definitely check in on your table a lot. Definitely coming back!

I walk out there and there was a random person sitting at our table. I asked her if this was our table. She proceeded to ask if it's for the graduation. And I said no? She looked confused and so did I. The server should have walked me out to our table like any other server would do. Besides all the other little things that were annoying... what got me the most is that I asked for one extra taco so I can share. I didn't mind paying for the extra taco but when the bill came they charged me DOUBLE THE PRICE for one taco plate. If I had known we would've just gotten two taco plates for the amount and price of two. 32$ for 4 tacos is diabolical. I would have really appreciated if the server disclosed that to me before. The taco shells were DRY, STALE, COLD, AND HARD when served. I ended up removing the second taco shell because of how awful they were. They're also flavorless including the salsa, as someone else mentioned in the reviews. Parking also sucks as well. I didn't think it was worth the headache at all. I definitely won't come back.
