Cheesesteak philly was yummy. Bread was soft. I ordered fries with my order. When I came to pick it up, they cooked it on the spot which I thought was nice so they are fresh! Thank you guys! Will definitely come back when craving some Philly cheesesteak. There's no dine in, only delivery & take out. When you enter, they have red x's for social distancing. They're scattered about so it's confusing on where to stand/where the line ends especially if there's at least 3 people. The young lady who took my order was really nice on the phone and when I picked up my order. She was doing a great job handling all the customers with a great attitude...by herself. As far as Philly Cheesteaks go, Philly's Best is not bad at all. I've never had a real Cheesesteak from Philly, so I can't compare. Philly's Best does in fact make a nice oooey goooey cheesesteak sammich though. Came here for lunch during work week, order over phone and showed up right when they said it would be done, and sure enough, my hot mess sammich was ready! Got the Pepper Steak with provolone and whiz,...perfect! I have zero complaints. Food was good, service was excellent and the wait time was as told. What more can you ask?!! read more

Upping my review because after years of searching LA for the best cheesesteak, Philly's Best really is the best. The bread, the grease, the flavors, the cheese, it's all there. Can it compare to eating in Philly? It's not that far off. Like honestly it might be better than some places in Philly. Of course, places in Philly can still outshine Philly's Best easily, but that's not the point. The point is, this is the best cheesesteak you're gonna get anywhere nearby. read more

Don't come here thinking you'll have the best Philly Cheesesteak and you'll be satisfied. Thinking that Philly's Best has the best cheesesteak is like thinking Burger King has the best burgers. The food is definitely solid as far as chain restaurants go. I will say that the sandwich is pretty good. I ordered the the Philly's Best cheesesteak, which came with sweet peppers, mushrooms, cheese, onions, and steak. I will say the flavors were pretty good, but I wish they used a higher quality meat. The meat was definitely overshadowed by the rest of the ingredients and I wanted the meat to be complementary to the rest of the sandwich. Having been to Philly, I had some good sandwiches out there. Overall, if you want a greasy, cheesy, sweet yet savory sandwich, this will hit the spot. Don't have too high expectations and you'll be satisfied. read more

I love Philly's Best. My go to is the classic cheesesteak and I love the cheesesteak fries as well. The servers are always very kind and polite, they have a good team. Seems like they are all good friends and enjoy working together. Perfect place to sit down and watch March madness games with some good food! read more

I like this place. Since it opened, I only done take out. The experience here is always pleasant, quick and easy. The place is clean, good/friendly customer service. Is not the healthiest food, but it has that good oily/greasy feeling (I have no idea how they make it, lol). The good thing is, it doesn't affect my sensitive stomach, I eat less than half (share it with husband cause I don't eat too much in one seating lol). Being from the East Coast and actually living in Philadelphia for a couple of years, this is the closest PROPER Cheesesteak you are going to find in Long Beach! Although they use White American instead of Wiz, but it's still damn good! I'm sure I could request it however because the cheese fries came with Wiz. I will definitely be back! read more

My wife and I had lunch there today. I ordered the pepper steak sandwich, and as customary, the counter person asked if I wanted it with grilled onions. I told him no. The sandwiches arrive, and after taking a couple of bites I found it was filled with grilled onions. OK, not a big deal, my wife ordered something different and we traded. The counter guy asks how are our sandwiches, and I told him that they had put onions on mine. Again, no big deal, we had traded meals, but the counter guy offered nothing as a means of making the order right. Then he turns and tells the guy who prepared our sandwiches about the error. They sandwich maker looks in my direction and laughs. I asked him if there was something cute about my order not being right, which he had no response. I understand mistakes get made, but when you laugh off the concerns of your customers and don't even offer an apology, well let's just say Mark that you won't see one of your old RamHi classmates there again. Having lived on the East Coast for most of my life I know a good submarine sandwich when I taste one. The prices at Philly's Best are reasonable. The ingredients are fresh and tasty. We ordered takeout again tonight from Philly's Best, two nights straight, due to the mini heatwave in Southern California. We were MORE THAN satisfied once again. Friendly staff members. Small restaurant inside but there are few seats outside to enjoy the weather. Self served soda and iced tea dispensers. They also have self served condiments which they could add more. Other than that, food tasted great. A bit too much cheese for me but it's okay once in a while. Parking is easy and plentiful as it is located inside a big shopping plaza. You can even get your haircut couple of doors next after eating here then walk around at Ross to melt the extra calories you consume. read more

After YEARS of being a cheese steak customer and it still being a spot we stop at every time we fly into town, I finally switched it up and tried a sub. My first thought after opening it up....... Why did I not try it sooner?! THE freaking BEST sub in town. Beats the socks off of Togo's, subway, Quiznos, it so delicious. It gave me Jersey Mike's vibes but better. My girlfriend & I always go shopping at the local super markets & retail stores nearby. Whenever we want to grab a quick bite to eat after shopping we were disappointed by the other food joints in the area. I always try to eat Boar's Head deli meat because it super fresh and has no nitrites so when I found out this place offered it in their sandwiches and salads my girlfriend & I were beyond satisfied for delicious fresh food. Not only that the place is very clean, super chill music atmosphere, and has great root beer drinks from Hank's [Root beer is one of my all time favorite beverages]. I promise you this place is way better than the fast food restruants nearby and have better employees with great customer service especially our favorites Annalisa on the noon shift and Bradley on the evening shift. I didn't try the food I'm giving one star because the guy cooking wasn't wearing any gloves , very unsanitary when handling bread and condiments. Gross so I walked out and went to Jersey Mike's wear everyone is wearing gloves. read more

My husband is from Philly and this is his favorite Cheesesteak place. He comes from the "provolone, not cheese whiz" camp which they make for us. We also have grilled onions. He loves that they have Birch Beer, Tasty Cakes & Wise chips. They have always been friendly, food is made fast. And we love the pickle bar, they've been serving them individually since Covid - but you can still get what you want. read more

I was in there a few weeks with my daughter. We had the best food which has not changed in years, which is a good thing. I've been coming to Philly best for many years and it's nice to know that you could come back to your favorite place and everything is the same just the way you liked it when you were there the first time. I got front row parking but then parking is never a problem. When I walked in the place has a sports memorabilia, a vibe, and a lot of other memorabilia pertaining to Philadelphia The place was very clean and bright a very comfortable atmosphere. I'd also like to give a shout out to the three employees that work there Brad, Sam, and Luciano they were so kind and helpful They made you feel welcomed as soon as you walk through the door. They brought the food to the table and got us whatever we needed. I have never had a bad experience with Philly's best with their food or employees All of their sandwiches are extremely delicious and a very good size. They give you a good amount of french fries which you could share if you wanted and their onion rings are to die for. read more

The biscuit itself is small, probably the size of a Pillsbury dough biscuit, and the chicken wasn't much bigger. nothing else on it like a green, coleslaw, sauce, etc. just these two items. However, it did come with a side of a honey butter. the side of fruit was about 8 pieces split between pineapple, melon, and grapes. the whole sandwich was dry, which can be expected from a biscuit, but this was just too dry for me. the yogurt bowl($8) came in a small bowl that had a large flaring, basically the entire dish was large but the bowl portion was small. I eat yogurt everyday and the amount you get is probably half the size of a standard serving of yogurt (170g) and it was sparsely sprinkled with granola. my partner ordered a chorizo burrito ($15) and while she raved about the flavor the size of it was laughable, especially considering there are plenty of spots in LB that serve double or even triple the size of this burrito at or near the same price lastly, and the most disappointing of all, was the cinnamon roll($8). they were on display at the register and figured yeah I want one of those and instead of giving it to me right then and there it was brought with the rest of the food but it was not warmed up, which made me question why I waited for it. It was rool temp, burnt, and hard. I do want to try other items but the price you pay for what you get, especially considering this experience I had, is off putting.

The food here is AMAZING and I try to come in as often as I can without worrying about my weight. LOL .. I highly recommend the Philly Best if you have never been. It is usually a girl that takes your order, I only ever see the same two. Be careful, if you get the light haired one, she is rude and clearly does not care about customer service. There is a darker haired one that is very sweet and always asks how my day is going. She makes the experience so much better and I have started to try and eat only when she is working. I cannot be the only one that takes customer service very seriously right? ALWAYS GET THE PIZZA FRIES!!! They are a gift from God and keep an eye out for the little desserts at the counter. I went to Philly's Best for a good cheesesteak and fries, and I have to say it was pretty good. They have a huge menu with lots of options, but unfortunately, they don't offer any combos, so my meal cost over $20. Despite that, I enjoyed it and thought it was tasty! The employee at the front was polite and very helpful. Although the cook was eating at a table on the side when I ordered, he washed his hands before preparing my food. Overall, for a Philly cheesesteak spot, I'd give it a 3.5 out of 5! Fast, fun, and easy! read more

OMG Burgers and More opened in Feb of 2025, right across the street from Wilson High School, catering mainly to high school students (though they are open on Saturdays as well, 11:00 - 7:00 pm daily). It's located on busy and fast 7th Street, and we found non-metered street parking on Roycroft avenue close by. It's a walk-up set-up, with a small food menu (no deep fryer), a small selection of ice cream, and a wider selection of water ice. The owners lived in Philadelphia for a bit, and brought back the recipe for a philly cheesesteak. We came a little before 5 pm, and we were the only customers, but the one worker was attentive throughout. One places and pays for the at the outdoor walk-up (credit cards accepted with 3% service fee, clover as the point-of-sale). The order is made-to-order, so took a while to come, and a simple yell of 'it's ready!' was enough for us go back up to get our order. There is a small outdoor fully-covered dining room with six permanent picnic tables, and two flat screen tvs. Drinks are the canned variety, not including the water ice or lemonade. The food is divided into burgers, hot dogs, cheesesteaks, patty melts, sides (no fries, though), drinks (bottled lemonade, and canned soda), and desserts (water ice, banana pudding, and ice cream). The food is a la carte, and none of us tried any of the sides. My mother-in-law got the chicken burger ($7.99) with pickles, lettuce, mayo, and american cheese slice (+$1), our neighbor friend got the beef hot dog ($5.99) with ketchup, relish, mustard, cooked onions, and bbq spread. My wife got her plain cheese burger ($8.99). I got a loaded cheeseburger ($8.99), with lettuce, tomato, ketchup, mayo, cooked onions, and pickles. The burger was really good quality, seemingly hand pressed and from fresh (not frozen). The bun was a very soft brioche, which went with the meat and toppings. They offer all the burger toppings for a backyard cheeseburger, plus cooked onions (in additional to raw), which I liked. Halfway through eating, I figured we had room for the ice cream that I wanted to try. This time, I went up to choose a 3 scooper ($7.99). I've gotten spoiled lately with the ice cream scoop sizes that we've gotten from local ice cream shoppes...not the case here. The ice cream was OK, with the ultimate oreo being better than the rocky road which was better than the vanilla. Everything is in disposable containers, so self bussed. Will have a bigger appetite next time we are here, so can try their philly cheesesteak.

I had bit into the burger before realizing the cheese was cold and not melted or soft. I'm going to give Poly Burgers a rest. Today's experience was frustrating.
