I tired this service department twice,I bought the most expensive 100,000 extended warranty and everything I ask Tom Bell to look at wasn't covered under the warranty!! I had the driverside window switch work off and on that was a NO!! My driverside seat stopped going up and down in the front part of the seat they said NO!!! They said the only way to fix it was to replace the hole seat which is 1200.00. My wife bought new remote start key fob which was 250 and they told her its was going to be 215 to program them,we call to make a appointment and now its 320.00. I called Rotolo Chevrolet about 15 minutes away from Tom Bell, and they cover everything under warranty and only charge me 180 to reprogram the new remote key fobs!!! Took my car in for an oil leak, I was told by two different employees that my car was covered under the rack and pinion warranty . I was initially told that they would have my car for a few days so I asked for a loaner, I was told they could not offer me a loaner or a rental for , of course, COVID reasons. So I reserved my own rental from Enterprise down the street, I have to get to work , so after updates from their rep. They couldn't find the leak , their flushing out this, flushing out that. Using dye to find where it's leaking from . On day SEVEN, I finally get a call with some answers " We finally found the leak Mrs. Starbuck but unfortunately it's NOT COVERED UNDER THE WARRANTY BECAUSE THE PART THAT NEEDS REPAIR IS NOT A GM PART and for the same reason , we can't help you with the cost of your rental, the cost of the repairs is $1300. AND we will have to have your car for a couple of more days because we have to order the part" Are you kidding me right now ? Needless to say, I was fumed, I told them to take my car down, I do not want you to fix it, I'll be there to pick it up within the hour 15 minutes later, I got a call back and was asked if he could talk to his manager to try to get the cost down, if I would be willing to get the repairs done there, AND miraculously .... lthey DO have the part in stock that just 15 minutes before they DID NOT and they would have to order it !!!! I've NEVER felt so scammed in my life and to make it worse, we've given them so much business in the last 5 years. I bought my car ,BRAND NEW ,from them in 2016 and one year later, my husband bought his truck from them, also brand new.... been going there since and this is how they treat their VERY loyal customers!!!! So $500 later for a whole week rental , NOTHING was accomplished with my car. They basically made Enterprise $500 richer which makes me believe they work together to scam people for more money . After buying a truck bran new I've had to take it back twice for oil leaks and complete reseals resulting in Chevy keeping my truck for some time. Recently took it back to get it check as it was leaking again. Advisor stated they would have a diagnosis in a week. After asking what I do until then he stated I don't know what the problem is so I don't know if you have warranty and qualify for a rental. After being left without a vehicle for a week I was finally approved a rental a few hours before they closed on a Friday! Upon arrival, he acknowledged my presence and informed me he would be with me as soon as he finishes with the customer that arrived before me. I told him no problem. Brought my new 2021 Tahoe Z71 in for an installation of a cargo area protector that I purchased online. Dan, the service advisor, was friendly, extremely helpful and thorough. The process took much longer than expected, we'll over (2) hours. That said; they did determine there is a recall issue that will need to be addressed. They also looked at an issue we're having with the front grill trim that has loosened and rattles while driving over 40 mph. Dan did what he could to fast track the process and get me moving on. Bottom line is the cargo area protector was installed and appears to be as advertised. Also, a highlight, a true level of customer service provided by "Eddie", who has only been working at this location for just (3) weeks. He personally cleaned the rear cargo door/glass that appeared to have a blue substance on it that was not there when I brought my vehicle in. He could have easily brought me a towel/rag like I requested but instead not only brought a towel but also some cleaner and took care of it himself; and did a very thorough job of it! The truth is, they hadn't even started working on it by 1pm. I told them just to bring it back up and I would take it somewhere else. I was told, "Man, we've been crazy busy. My husband inquired online about a 2017 Chevy Silverado LT in which he provided the stock number and vehicle details. He was contacted by their online manager Brian Rico who advised he would be able to assist. Upon arrival we were told the truck was sold the night before. We drove to the dealer on false pretenses which was the first sign of trouble. When we advised we were no longer interested their salesman Luis stated they had comparables trucks on the lot. We were immediately taken to the High Country models and advised incentives were available up to 10k. When we were walking the lot we ran into 8-10 2017 models the salesman failed to mention. Upon locating a comparable truck we went inside to discuss numbers where their manager John was of no assistance. Not only did he tell us we could not use the 2017 incentives but also they were not offering leases for 2017 models. This information could have been disclosed prior to telling us to come to the dealer. Once he began his poor attempt of sales in which basic math clearly reflected their inflated pricing we knew this wasn't the dealer for us. So this is my fourth visit at Tom Bell Chevrolet service department. Their attention to detail lack tons of attention. Twice I have purchased a vehicle wash and they do not come through. First time my truck was not washed so I waited an additional 45 minutes, second time never got vacuumed I had wait for additional time. I had my tires rotated but I told them I had a leak on my right front passenger tire. It never got fix so the following day I had a flat tire. I had to take my truck to another business to get it fix. The kicker is that I told a technician and I was told the guy who rotated my tires had left to lunch and he could not help me and I had to wait longer. What happened to customer satisfaction guys!?! I'm know am rating on but this got me upset. The kicker is I get satisfaction surveys. If I ignored them I get calls about my services. I feel out the reviews and they don't call to tell why this happened. So are the satisfactions surveys review and handle by quality control or just a hoax to keep the customer thinking they are doing everything to think we matter? Humm!!!!! I want to know for sure. 2 star service bought 2020 Camero SS air conditioning stopped working just after 4 months, took to Tom Bell on a Thursday afternoon. Friday rolls around offered rental car stated they have to keep my car. They wouldn't offer comparable car which was disappointing. The car was ready for pick up on the following Monday, I requested them to wash but I guess because I wasn't a paying customer since they were repairing under warranty they would even do a simple 5-10 dollar wash! The woman who helped us Annette was very friendly and helpful and very nice looking shop. However, this company should be ashamed of the ridiculous prices they charge! $135 for an estimate that was suppose to include a courtesy wash and tire air pressure check. Paid $135 dollars to tell me the starter was bad when I brought the vehicle in because I knew the starter was bad and told them that. No car wash or tire check included so paid $135 for absolutely nothing but a cup of coffee inside. Said the estimated price to change the starter was $840. I told them they were crazy and took it to another mechanic down the street after paying $135 for their estimate of what I already knew. Other mechanic did the work in an hour and a half and charged $360 so about a $500 difference for no reason. Definitely won't be back. read more

Set an appointment up to get my cars check engine light checked out, gave them the code and was told that I would have to wait a week and a half to get it diagnosed but that ( it would be free) I would just pay for the repair so I didn't mind the long wait seemed worth it. Went in, 5minutes later (no exaggeration) was told that I had to pay $150 (not free) to get it diagnosed (that my problem was more difficult) and that I should have been prepared with a ride home and to leave my car there for a couple of days. When I was never told any of this? Since I wasn't prepared I had to leave, and tried to call back to reschedule this last Tuesday, and was told I was going to get called back never did. Jason knew that I was in the business and made it easy over email for me while I hammered out the deal. He knew I had a negative trade and how much. I confirmed with him in the morning and he said he would make it fast for me when we got there knowing we were bring my two young kids and that I was limited on time. We arrived and Jason had gone home. He didn't let me know which I thought was rude, but no big deal. The sales man that greeted us told me he would take care of us. I went to Tom Bell Service Department to have an oil change done on my Tahoe. I get my tires balanced and rotated at Costco, so I just needed an oil change, nothing else. I had an appointment at 12:00. I checked in on time and the check in process was painfully slow. So by 12:25 I was finally checked in and they took my truck back. The service advisor told me that I'd have it back by 1:30. So by 1:15 my truck was still sitting idly in the bay, no work completed. I went and asked the service advisor if he knew what the status was and he proceeded to tell me that it's lunch time and they're running behind but told me that 2 guys would get on it and get it done as soon as they could. 15 minutes after that, 1 guy put it on the rack and started working on it. So my oil change was finally compete at 2:05 PM and they pulled it around. I was running late for my 2:00 PM tire rotation and balance thanks to them, so I was in a rush and the service advisor made me stand there for ANOTHER 15 minutes while he finished my invoice, which was more than what I had been originally quoted. It was like the service advisor was trying to drag his feet because I had been bugging him. It was BEYOND frustrating... In summary, it shouldn't take 2 1/2 hours to get an oil change, especially when you have an appointment, lunch breaks or not. Possibly even more frustrating is that NOBODY moves with purpose or urgency. Everybody walks around slowly and is constantly talking and taking their time with no regard for the customer. I'll never take my truck here again because customer service is obviously NOT at the heart of the way they do business. read more
