Such a great addition to the area! It's hard to believe they only opened in June because they've already built quite a following. The ingredients are incredibly fresh, the fish. Be prepared for a line--it gets long very quickly, especially during busy hours. After trying the food, though, it's easy to understand why. The staff keeps things moving, and the quality is absolutely worth the wait. Fresh ingredients, delicious flavors, and a great start for a newly opened business. Looking forward to coming back again soon!

Poke was UNREAL. Hawaiian style poke spot with fresh and very flavorful poke. They have fresh poke from Hawaii shipped to them every other day and each flavor is unique in its own regard. Come earlier in the day because once a certain flavor runs out, they don't restock until the next day. I highly recommend trying the spicy HAWAIIAN style ahi poke. It's a unique umami spicy mayo in their ahi tuna with a special type of seaweed that makes it have such a unique taste. Their purple "Uala" sweet potato mash is very neutral side that compliments the poke well. It was a great palate cleaner with its subtle sweetness and is a must try.

This place fills a hole in this area for authentic Hawaiian poke where it's made fresh in limited batches and will close once they sell out. There's something satisfying about the meaty texture of the poke when it's fresh and authentic like this. I saw on the grand opening that this is very much a family operation so you feel the ohana spirit when you enter. Everything including the spam musubi was good. My only critique was the side of poke you can add for an additional upcharge to the plates is way too small for what you're charged (see picture). So if they can make that a little more reasonable portion then I can wholeheartedly say this is a go-to.

The wait was not bad at all on a Sunday noon. The reason I gave 2 stars is because my family and I got minor food poisoning from this meal :( It was also really expensive (around $56 for 1 premium ahi large bowl and 1 standard ahi large bowl). Flavor wise, it was not bad but I felt like the flavors weren't strong enough and were super similar to each other since I had to keep alternating flavors to actually taste something. Not worth getting the premium flavors imo. The mac salad and crab salad we got were nothing special, I've definitely had better. Good to try, but will not be back :( I still like Jus Poke in Redondo Beach the most

Finally trying Unreal poke in Arcadia. We went on Thursday night around 6:40pm it closes at 8pm so the only flavors left were the standard ahi (shoyu and spicy) which are perfect. There was a short line 5 people deep and it moved quickly. After ordering they called our number less than 5 min didn't take long.. taste is giving flashbacks to Alicia's market. Which is our favorite. we came back the very next day around 5pm and got to try more of their poke flavors. You can't go wrong. Their Mac salad is the best. We also were able to get Wild Whisk's rainbow cake (passion, lilikoi, and guava cake)

Amazing! I'm glad to be able to try this again, now at their new permanent location in Arcadia. We arrived on a Wednesday around dinner time, and there was a small line at 6:30 PM. The fish looked like it was starting to run out, so I'm pretty sure we got the last of a few items. The line moved quickly though, and we ordered and received our food in under 20 minutes. Now for the food. There were a few different items on the menu compared to the last time I visited their pop-up shop, and these are my thoughts: Poke Bomb - I absolutely loved this. It lets you sample a few different flavors, featuring inari topped with some of their special poke. It wasn't salty but was packed with flavor. A must-try if you enjoy inari. (5/5) Poke Bowl - We got a large bowl so we could share it. The portion size was reasonable, but the poke is still unreal. It's one of the few poke spots around that truly reminds us of the poke we had in Hawaii. Not much else to say besides it's delicious. (5/5) Overall, this is definitely a go-to spot if you're craving the real deal. The fish is incredibly fresh, the ingredients are high quality, and the flavors are excellent. Yes, it's a bit pricier than your typical poke spot, but the quality makes it worth the splurge every once in a while. Parking - Small lot. It may be difficult to find parking during busy times since the lot is shared with several other businesses.

I get why they named themselves unreal poke- because their poke is truly unreal. 100/10. If I could eat here everyday, I totally would. You literally cannot go wrong with anything here / it's fresh, made with soul, and guaranteed good. I've gone here twice within the same month and can proudly recommend the following flavors: - spicy - hot shoyu - garlic and onion Sides: - must order uala mash, it's unlike anything else and it 100% slaps - mac salad also good - their spam musabi is also a classic - you know exactly what you're getting

I enjoyed my poke bowl- particularly the shoyu ahi because it was flavorful and fresh! Minus one star because the garlic crunch ahi tasted slightly less fresh and I suspect gave me mild food poisoning because my stomach was very upset immediately after eating my bowl. I'd give it another try because the shoyu ahi was very good!

I've had Unreal Poke before at night markets and festivals, so I'm so glad they finally have a home in Arcadia. It's a very small spot, and the four of us were lucky to snag the table by the window, most customers seem to take their orders to go. I'm especially happy they offer salmon, since most poke places only have tuna. I got a bowl with shoyu salmon and ginger onion tuna, and they really loaded it with extra ginger and onion and it was so delicious! If you can't decide, try the poke bomb, where you pick five different types of fish, which is what my husband got. I think I actually prefer my bowl better, since it's less messy and comes with a side which I chose the seaweed salad. Even though we recently moved away, I'll definitely be back.

Intrigued by unreal poke! There's been so many places opening and popping up all through the SGV. The poke game is stepping it up this year which has been great. I love witnessing the evolution. Poke has been a long time trend but its trajectory is getting better. Unreal Poke is a great example because while there are spots that are chaining from popular areas like Hawaii, Unreal is creating its own force. It's not caught up by toppings, multiple bases, or sauces but showcasing what poke should always showcase-- The fish and the ode to the culture it comes from. We got the shoyu ahi tuna and the spicy salmon. Loved both but the tuna was a perfect savory chunk of a bite! Onion, green onion, and shoyu mixed with a little seaweed salad, crabmeat, mini spoonful scoop of rice all atop some crunchy seaweed I had at home. Mmm. The salmon was also good but in this particular case because of how fresh the ingredients are, the less saucier, the better I say... And trust any of my close friends when I say that I am the sauce queen of most friend groups. So, to say less sauce means that the fish is that good without being to flashy from sauce. The creaminess of the spicy salmon and the crunch from the masago was good but I feel like next time, I want to taste the salmon more than its complimented sauces. A solid poke bowl is one that makes you crave for less sauces and more of just the fish itself and the very few small additions just to really round out one bite to the next. A little crunch, some chew, some extra umami hits (but not too much!), and a quick piece of ginger to freshen the next bite. We also got a two musubis to go. The only thing we wanted to have some more of was their mac salad but they were about finished with it by the time we got there. We at least got the bit that was left with no additional cost which was nice. Already ready to go back.

Unreal Poke is by far the best poke we have in the SGV! One of the things I miss most about Hawaii is the poke. I'm always on the search for the best poke and honestly we haven't found anything comparable to what we find in Hawaii until now. Welcome Unreal Poke to the SGV!! I am so happy there is something here for us now. They are still currently in the soft opening phase, but increasing operation hours and days. Check their IG for daily updates! I've been twice in the last two months and I look forward to coming back for more. The flavors switch out daily and once they sell out, they sell out, so come early! So far I am impressed by everything we have tried. The best bang for your buck is to order by the lb so we typically order half lb to 1 lb and pair it with rice and nori once we get home. Everything tastes so flavorful and fresh! I haven't tried a poke bowl there yet, but the portion looks huge and they include some amazing sides!

So stoked I finally got to try this popular poke place out since I heard a lot of good things about it! They're still in soft opening so they're not open daily and their hours are limited. Hours currently are: - Wed-Sat - 12-7pm - Sun - 12-5pm They don't have a sign up yet on top of their shop yet so it was a little difficult trying to find it. Also, parking is pretty difficult since the lot isn't that big and it's shared with other businesses. However, there is nearby street parking, which I highly recommend. Inside is quite small but there are a few chairs and tables inside. There is also cute Hawaiian merchandise available for purchase! Pricing is a bit pricey but portions are generous! Expect to pay $19.50 for a regular bowl & $24.50 for a large! They also sell poke by lb.! - 1/2 lb - $16 for regular & 18 for premium - 1 lb - $28 for regular & $24 for premium Ordering is easy - choose your bowl size - select your flavors - get your free side * Complimentary toppings available! I was bummed they only had tuna options and not salmon since I'm not a big tuna fan but I was impressed with the tuna! Service was friendly, helpful, and welcoming. Asked the staff which were the most popular and she recommended Spicy Ahi & Furikake Oyster Sauce so those were the ones I got. The Spicy Ahi was marinated very well and the sauce was packed with flavor without being too spicy or salty. I was impressed with the quality of the tuna and how generous the portions were! They were literally huge thick pieces of delicious tuna! Definitely enjoyed this flavor! The Furikake Oyster Sauce was a bit too salty for my preference but the sauce was not bad. The quality of the tuna and the portions were very impressive! The rice was very fresh and soft so that was very enjoyable. The crab salad was also very fresh and tasted like it was made from good quality imitation crab. I enjoyed that it wasn't drenched with mayonnaise and it wasn't too salty. Overall, the prices were a little pricey but the quality was definitely there and the portions were very generous so I would definitely recommend and return!

This is my third time trying Unreal Poke, and apologizes for the super late delay. Every time l leave, im so full and satisfied l completely forget. First, l had the Poke Bombs, four bombs total, which had two different flavors. These did not disappoint. The seasonings, the pump pieces of fish, and the rice were perfect, (and had a few pieces falling off the bomb, onto the plate luckily). Perfect blending of a garlic seasoning on half the bombs, and the spicy was just the right amount of savory kick that was exactly what l liked. Then my musubi came. But was taken by my daughter, who told me it was the best musubi she ever had. I unfortunately did not get a bite, and I learned my lesson of ordering only one of this item, and will know for next time to add an extra order for myself. Next was the Poke Bowl. I had ordered the Ahi Shoyu flavor, and it was delicious. Rice cooked perfectly and soft, the fish was seasoned excellent and had many fat pieces. Very well proportioned of fish to rice ratio. Leaving each bite with at least a few pieces of fish. Overall, every time l return, reminds me of the reason why l drive far for the food, and keep coming back happily. Also the staff is very nice, l told them my preferred favorite flavors and they recommended me exactly what l wanted. This is definitely a must try, and after you try, you will be looking for them for an encore! read more

I found Unreal Poke on IG and on a whim because I've craved Hawaiian style poke so much. I missed the pop-up drop a couple times but I managed to order pick up when I was in town! I ordered the Poke Flight just to try it out. There's shoyu ahi, spicy ahi, and ahi california roll. I think my top favorites are the shoyu and spicy ahi. This place is pretty up there though and the flavors and freshness of the fish are amazing! Also the dish itself had such great presentation, I dug in immediately. It hit the spot for their take on Hawaiian poke! I would definitely want to try their poke bombs next. read more

This is the most authentic Hawaiian poke u can get in the area! The poke is NOT SWEET and fish was very fresh. It was seasoned perfectly. I got a regular with half limu shoyu and spicy ahi, it's was filled to the brim with fish! They give u a thin layer of rice and seriously pile on the fish it's so generous. Mac salad was fire too! Also I personally like to just taste poke on its own without toppings so I opted out of the eel sauce, furikake, etc that they offered me. I'll definitely come back! I was browsing Yelp for poke spots and came across a place with five stars. After reading the reviews, I found out it's a pop-up. I checked their Instagram and saw that today was their last day, so I decided to make the trip. I've only had poke once before in Taiwan, and it was a joke . My favorite is still Poke Express in Las Vegas, but this place comes pretty close. I just follow a GPS and the address . However, there was no sign outside . There was street parking available, and since it was Sunday, finding a spot wasn't an issue. I hadn't had poke in a very long time . This time, when I got home and started eating, it brought back memories of how much I used to love it. The fish quality was excellent, and the flavor was just as I remembered. Picked up garlic crunch ahi and it was delicious! Ordered online to pickup at the burger place in downtown el monte. Pretty smooth transaction. The flavor is spot on. Price is high for my budget, as I don't regularly eat raw fish, but this will be on my rotation. read more

Mannn this place is good. I feel super lucky Unreal Poke has set up shop here. Real poke real good flavors, not that poke salad bar stuff. Before this place I was driving out to South Bay for my poke fix. Their spicy poke is my favorite. I haven't gotten to try their salmon yet but I would like to. If you can, pre order because they sell out - cause it's bomb! The fish has always tasted fresh. Sometimes there are slightttly chewy pieces but lately it's been spot on and hitting!! Looking forward to the next Thursday poke drop. read more

You name your business boldly like this, you better deliver. They definitely do! If you love Foodland poke, this place will bring back those fond memories authentic Hawaiian Poke. Menu is small here - they had maybe 4-5 poke options. Quality is spot on - rice properly made, Poke is delicious and fresh, their Mac salad is great. Definitely will be back! read more

If you want real poké this is the spot! I'm from Hawai'i and this spot reminds me of home. I'm very picky about where I eat poké but I already knew it was gonna be good after the first bite. So if you like quality fish and a taste of Hawai'i come here. On top of that the owners are from the islands and are super cool. Highly recommended! read more

Saw this from a facebook ad I think it was. Decided to order it because Hawaiian Garlic Shrimp plates are not very common in the SGV area. Just ate this almost an hour ago. It was fantastic. The shrimp were big. Six, fat, juicy, freshly fried pieces. The shrimp were fresh and tender, the meat was almost lobster tail-like. It was perfectly salted and flavorful. I ate it with the skin on, and the legs were crunchy and the shell was cooked well. The only part that is a little tougher to eat is the tail. Garlic pieces were crunchy and permeated all of the shrimp. Definitely one of the the best Hawaiian garlic shrimps I've had in the area. 9/10 The poke was great too, I had the spicy and shoyu tuna. It was tender, soft, and tasted fresh on the bed of salad. 8/10 I don't remember having the option of choosing a mac salad, but I feel like the refreshing nature of mac salad would've paired perfectly with the garlic-heavy entree. I also wish that the lemon slice they gave me was bigger. It was a sliver, and I got three drops out of it. The spicy tuna inari I had too was great. I ate this when I got home just now. 8/10 The price definitely felt more on the expensive side, but you are also getting big fat shrimps and fresh poke. After eating it, I can see you're paying for both quantity and quality. And they made it to order right on time. 7.5/10 They are a pop-up once a week at this hamburger restaurant in El Monte. It's not a sit-down restaurant. The owner who runs it Jordan is a super nice guy, I believe he said he is from Hawaii, and he has a strong vision for how he wants his food and business to be. Highly recommend the food from this place! read more

Man, I just cannot say enough about this place. The food is legit unreal. The taste of the fish is unbelievably fresh and flavor is so deeply infused, you'll just drool looking at it. Unlike most other poke places that add sauce after you choose a protein, this place marinades there for at least a few hours so you'll get a really deep burst of flavor in each bite. The food here really reminded me of the super fresh poke you can pick up from the deli counters in Hawaii. We got all four flavors which were shoyu tuna and salmon as well as the spicy tuna and salmon. Each was amazing, but my personal favorite was the shoyu tuna. Note that this a pop-up spot and not something that's open everyday. Usually they operate out of a burger kitchen, but do go to other events as well. I wasn't able to pre-order but got there about 10 min after opening and was able to get what I wanted as a walk in. Imran was working and was super friendly and chill. Really represented the business well. I will 100% be back and hoping you all open your own spot! read more

Heard about this place from a friend and decided to give it a try when they were doing pick ups in El Monte. I wanted to get this during lunch but it was all sold out so I decided to order for dinner. I ordered a poke flight and added a side of spicy salmon poke. The poke flight came with 3 different flavors of ahi tuna, rice, salad, and crab salad. It was really close to the poke I had in Hawaii. Everything was so fresh. My favorite was the spicy salmon and the shoyu tuna. Workers were friendly and I didn't have a hard time finding parking. The poke truly is unreal! I originally was going to order poke from a different place, but I stumbled upon the Yelp page and saw they were going to be in El Monte the next day. So naturally I pushed back my poke craving for a day so I could try this. It was so worth it! My boyfriend got the hawaiian garlic shrimp and I got the poke flight. It's a little bit on the pricier side but the food more than makes up for it. We normally drive to San Diego for good Hawaiian poke so I'm so glad that theres a more local option! So happy I stumbled upon this gem and I can't wait till they come back again! Also please bring back the garlic shrimp! It absolutely stole the show. read more

This review is strictly for the poke nachos at the Chinatown After Dark Dodgers Opening Day event. This is a dish I have been craving for almost 2 years. Aside from having it in the 808, the best one I've had in the mainland is in Las Vegas, which I still think about all the time. I got my poke nachos and at first glance, I was excited thinking I was gonna tear it up! The shoyu and spicy poke were had good flavors but the dish as a whole, I realized I was hella duped. For the price of $30, the portion of the poke was dismal and the wonton chips could use some help as they broke easily as you scoop up some fish. Please reconsider doing another R & D to work on a better brand of wonton chips and portions. I love to support small up and coming businesses but $30 for what you gave me that day did not reflect that. read more

I've been eyeing Unreal Poke for some time now but since they're mainly a pop up, the stars needed to align in order for me to be able to try it. The day finally came when it worked out and I promptly ordered three pounds. One pound each of the ginger, shoyu, and spicy poke. The pictures always looked great but we were finally able to confirm that the hype was, contrary to their name, 100% REAL. We are frequent visitors to Hawaii and always load up on poke while we're there because nothing here could compare. Unreal Poke finally bridges that gap and delivers Hawaiian-style (& quality) poke to the SGV. Jordan, the head honcho, deftly balances out the flavors and ingredients so that they don't overwhelm the fish like most places here do (probably to cover up their lack of quality fish). He proudly puts the ahi front and center and makes sure its freshness shines. It's a beautiful thing, all served with island hospitality and vibes. Mahalo Jordan! read more

Meet the Business Owner: Jordan M.

I'm JMKM, and this is Unreal Poke. A Big Island native with a mix of Hawaiian, Puerto Rican, and Japanese heritage, my culinary journey began in Hilo during my early years as a child. Since 2015, I've been deeply involved in the culinary industry, working alongside esteemed establishments like East Los Musubi and Poke Party. However, the roots of my culinary passion trace back to the small kid hanabata days in Hilo. I owe much of my taste for Japanese creations to my mother, who imparted numerous recipes and techniques at a very young age. These teachings still influence the crafting of my signature poke sauces today. My grandmother, Julia, known as Hilo's renowned "Pastele Lady," was the city's number one Pastele maker. She catered Puerto Rican food across the island and sold her creations from her home for as long as I can remember. Her DIY attitude and love for sharing culture through food are key inspirations behind the inception of Unreal Poke.

You can sample before choosing, and every cup comes up to two flavors. . Really liked the Yakult and condensed milk. They also have a bunch of toppings (3 for ~$1.95), so it's easy to mix and match. Parking was easy, service was friendly. Just expect a bit of a wait on weekends.

If you're looking for authentic Hawaiian-style poke in the SGV, Unreal Poke is absolutely the place to go. The restaurant features a clean, welcoming interior that captures the laid-back spirit of the islands. The staff was friendly, service was quick, and the fish was exceptionally fresh with a firm, buttery texture. Portions were incredibly generous, and the fish-to-rice ratio was exactly what every poke bowl should be. **Large Spicy Ahi & Garlic Crunch Ahi Bowl: 5/5** This bowl was filled to the brim with an impressive amount of fresh ahi, with just enough rice to let the fish remain the star of every bite. The Spicy Ahi featured a rich, creamy spicy mayo that paired perfectly with a sweet-savory drizzle of unagi sauce, while vibrant tobiko added delicate bursts of brininess. In contrast, the Garlic Crunch Ahi was dressed in a lighter shoyu and sesame oil-based marinade that allowed the quality of the fish to shine, while crispy garlic chips added an irresistible crunch and bold roasted garlic flavor to every bite. The sides were every bit as enjoyable as the poke itself. The mac salad was satisfyingly rich with perfectly tender pasta and a subtle tangy sweetness that kept it from feeling too heavy, while the crab salad was creamy, fresh, and completely free of any fishy aftertaste. **Spam Musubi: 4/5** The Spam Musubi was a delicious side that rounded out the meal nicely. 10/10 This place is exactly what the 626 needed! It's hard to find real Hawaiian-style poke around here, but they absolutely nailed it. Everything tasted fresh, flavorful, and authentic. The shoyu poke was fire and packed with flavor, and the spicy ahi was bomb with the perfect amount of kick. You can tell they care about quality and keeping it true to the Hawaiian poke style. Definitely coming back and recommending this spot to everyone. read more
