This is a hole in the wall kind of pizza joint located in Union Square. The staff is very friendly and some of the pizza flavors seem interesting and different. One that I ordered was the zucchini with lemon zest white pizza. I also ordered the pepperoni and burrata but I was less than a fan of this one because the pepperoni proved to be very greasy. The slices are also a little more on the costly side as they are around $7.50 each.
This review is strictly for their vegan slice - there are two options, one that was a margherita and a "veggie fiesta" which was essentially a vegetable pizza. While most vegans do enjoy vegetables, not all vegan options have to be so vegetable forward. It would be nice to have a slice that mimics what most people who eat pizza enjoy - a vegan pepperoni slice (maybe with "hot honey" agave) or even a bbq chick'n. Service was quick and friendly, had a short wait for my slice but I was grateful to have it fresh. I opted for the veggie fiesta which was advertised as having a cherry tomato confit - it wasn't really a confit, it was whole cherry tomatoes that hadn't been cooked down very much. The vegan cheese they used wasn't particularly good, I was attempting to scrape it off while salvaging the rest of the toppings. It was also a bit steep for a slice but I'll give them a break because I assume rent is steep around Union Square. Was it filling? Sure. But the standard for vegan pizza has to be higher than this, their non-vegan slices looked incredible so I wish this matched.
Not your regular slice, as the name suggests and even though I'm usually not a fan of the square-style pizza, this one didn't disappoint. I really like the variety on the menu, and they're generous with the toppings, which is always a win. The prosciutto burrata pizza was my favorite! If I had one minor complaint, it's the sauce felt a little overpowering. Some bites felt like a full-on tomato explosion in my mouth. Still, overall, a solid spot for a great slice with quality ingredients and flavor.
Took myself on a solo date the other day to see Jurassic World: Rebirth I was looking for a sandwich spot to have a snack at the theatre and I came across Unregular Pizza. This place has been on my list! I order the vodka parm on a croissant. This sandwich was EVERYTHING! Buttery, cheesy, the perfect amount of sauce. The chicken was juicy and flavorful. I'll definitely be back for the sandwich and the pizza. Service was amazing as well. The person that helped me was kind and welcoming.
Great casual pizza spot with bigger than most square slices. Unregular pizza has the type of toppings you want in a casual setting. [[HIGHLIGHT]]There is limited seating inside.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The slices are deceptively filling, especially if you get the Barada so warning that two might get you to being full more than you think as someone who's accidentally ordered three slices for a lunch day Service is pretty standard for a pizza joint in the city. Recommend trying the spot at least once their unique flavors and the heftier square slices are worth a try.
Unregular Pizza, located in Union Square, excellent location, small shop, nice selection of pizza - meat/ veggie/ vegan/burata / pepperoni Staff is so friendly and accommodating. Top notch. I chose the prosciutto and burrata slice. The crust was a nice and crispy but the flavors were a bit off. The sauce was too saucy. I would maybe try a different flavor next time but I'm not in any rush.
Stopped in for some pizza. I tried the zucchini pizza with burrata. The slice was huge and filling. However if zucchini is not seasoned properly there's not much of a taste but overall the pizza was not bad. [[HIGHLIGHT]]There is a counter where you can stand and enjoy your pizza.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They have a lot of pizza options and other goodies as well. The worker was super friendly and her vibe was perfect. I would definitely go back to try a different slice. The mushroom one seemed popular.
I've been here twice now and enjoy the colorful, cheerful atmosphere. It's standing room only with a counter for those who would like to eat in the establishment. The place has many unique pizza flavors, as well as stromboli, fried pasta, and sandwiches. They even have a delightful looking Nutella pizza. The first time, I had the Pepperoni Stromboli ($5), which was wonderfully cheesy, full of well seasoned pepperoni, while the bread was soft and doughy. I also got to try the Special pizza flavor of the month, which is Ossobucco Milanese ($8). This consisted of beef ossobucco, gremolata, saffron sauce, along with Mozzarella. I enjoyed the beef, which was tender, full of bold flavor. The saffron sauce added a nice element to the slice, but would have liked more melty cheese. The crust was light and crisp. Service was warm and friendly. Prices were a little high, but ultimately worth it. I would come back to try the Meat Dream, Burrapizza Cafonata and Chicken Out pizza slices, as well as the Cacio E Pepe Fried Pasta.
After experiencing a date night out at the Chelsea Film Festival at the nearby Regal Theatre, we conveniently came across this place and asked for Vegetarian options. Guys working that night were helpful! She tried the Zucchini Stromboli and I gave in and couldn't keep my eyes off the Pepperoni Stromboli, amongst the other pizza selections. So tasty! Right choice! [[HIGHLIGHT]]There were benches out front to sit but we didn't mind standing at a counter.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Worth a try if you're on the Go.

Stopped here for lunch and was greated by a friendly lady at the registered who offered me some lemonade. I ordered a slice of the caccio e Pepe pizza, the fried vodka spaghetti, and the bread bites. Everything was delicious! I wanted to try the vodka parm sandwich, but I knew it would be too much food. You should try it for yourself! read more

Overall rating: 4.8 I was pretty shocked that I liked this so much! I thought it would be overhyped and taste meh. But oh, my, god. This is so good! And I actually think it's relatively priced at $11. I'm very happy I don't live near Union Square because I would be coming here every day! Also the staff was so friendly. You never know with to-go pizza spots but I was pleasantly surprised by the niceness. I knocked a few points because you can tell the place is popular, dare I say IG-popular I wish it had better/ more outdoor seating spots available than a bench. read more
I love both pizza and burrata, so I was super excited to try this place. You can see the pizza lined up from the outside and it was fun to see the variety they had. What had appealed to me about this place was that you could add a burrata to any slice for $5. It is a small shop and there is a counter against the wall across from the pizza showcase to stand and eat, but it is so narrow you would probably have people who are trying to choose their pizza bumping into you. This place is near Union Square, though, so you can take your pizza to the park to eat, which my friend and I did. I ordered a Delicatissima Pizza ($7+) with burrata ($5+) and my friend ordered one of the Burrapizzas. After we ordered, they put our pizzas into the oven to reheat and packed them into nice pizza boxes for us to carry. It was no more than a few minutes after we got our pizzas that we started eating, but they were not hot at all. The main issue we had, though, was with how hard the crusts (both the ends and bottom) were. They were too hard to bite into and we struggled to cut them with a knife. Not sure whether it's from the original dough or from overcooking / reheating, but it tasted like leftover pizza which had been sitting out for a while. The burrata on top was good, but we were disappointed by our pizzas. read more

Opening Day has arrived! I've been following them on Instagram and loved their stories about bartering for other food! Got to meet them in action on their first day and there way a steady flow of people coming in at lunch time. Great display of all the pizzas lined up, with a description of each slice and their price. The hardest part was choosing which one. I picked the Polpetta which had three huge meatballs on it $8. All those meatballs and delicious sauce held up on that crunchy dough. Slices seem to range from $4.50-14 plus tax. Please don't complain about the prices, the ingredients are fabulous and are worth every bite! Super friendly team behind the counter, please go support these guys! read more

I've never been to Italy, nor do I really know what a Roman slice is...but all I know is that this is some damn good pizza. Random observation: seems like lots of people in here speaking Italian from both customers and behind the counter - guess that can only be a good thing? Had two slices. The unmargherita and the unmushroom - both were delicious. Unmargherita: this is one of my favorites slices of late. The crust is perfect. Probably edges F&F for my favorite. What makes this is the cheese and the grated parmesan on top - there's this wonderful saltiness and funk (in a good way) that tastes nothing like I've had on another pizza in NY. Unmushroom: First slice I've had that really lets the mushrooms shine in all of their glory. Same perfect crust. Cheese is fabulous. But best of all is the density and the juiciness of the mushrooms. They have all sorts of other pizzas that look so much fancier, with like prosciutto and whole balls of burrata, but my stomach was too full to try them. The workers are extremely friendly and nice. They take credit card too which is a plus. NY is a competitive pizza market - but I see Unregular doing quite well. This place definitely lives up to the hype! One of the most underrated pizza spots in nyc. Enjoyed my slices. The burrata with pepperoni was the best one. I came in right when they opened and it was awesome. The pesto slice was good but I wouldn't reorder. The buffalo chicken was also delicious. What separates this pizza is the crunch of the crust. It is a perfect contrast to the toppings and flavor. 5 stars all the way. Try this spot out. read more

Cool tiny little spot with a great 80's vibe to it! It's all Roman style pizza squares which are quite large and priced decently for the city. Service is good, fast and quick, they take your order, pop the pizza in the over and you are outta there in a few minutes. There are no seats to eat at in the small place but there is a small stand up counter you can eat your pizza on along with 2 small benches outside to sit on. I ordered 2 slices of pizza....Bufalona (cherry tomato confit, bufala mozzarella, basil pesto, & tomato sauce) and the Grandma Peppina (tomato sauce, mozzarella, parmigiano, garlic and olive oil) plus one of the fried pasta square things which I was not a fan of. It was too heavy for me. Maybe I ordered the wrong one, I had the vodka spaghetti one. The pizza on the other hand was perfectly crispy and had a nice tomato sauce. Another plus, they give you a free drink....not sure if you have to spend a certain limit to receive it. Small cute spot worth trying out! I would come back again if I was in the area. read more

We had 2 slices of cheese pizza and the crust was hard as can be. My jaw was hurting by the time I was finished. Maybe I just got a bad slice but at least the boxes were cute! After looking at other reviews, I would like to give this place another chance and try some of their other pizzas. read more

Very cramped space, so the line will likely be out the door with minimal room to move around. They still get you the food pretty quickly and it was worth the small wait! I wouldn't make a special trip but I would definitely get it again if I'm in the area read more

I decided to visit Unregular Pizza on my latest trip to NYC. I'd heard about the Burrapizza and immediately knew I had to my hands (and mouth) on a slice. After walking about a mile up 4th Ave, I finally saw a white and black sign that simply said "PIZZA". I walked in and instantly noticed the glass case with all different types of pizza and other mouthwatering treats. There were about a dozen or so people eating and standing around inside the small establishment, which made it feel very crowded. That said, there was no wait to order. I saw the Burrapizza Cafonata staring back at me from the center of the case. The huge dollop of burrata looking at me like a giant eyeball. It looked amazing, but would it taste as good as it looked? The person who took my order popped it in the oven, and it came out piping hot. I found an inch or two at the chest-high counter and began to eat my slice of heaven. The flavor was exceptional. I'm a sucker for sweet and spicy. The pepperoni cups were delicious. The slice had the right amount of heat. It's a tough slice to eat by hand, so I used a combination of my fingers and the plastic knife and fork provided by the staff. Wonderful pizza, friendly staff, and a cool retro vibe. What more could you ask for? I also tried the cacio e Pepe slice for a little variety, but the Cafonata is where it's at. read more
I got the orange turmeric drink, burrapizza pugliese, and the unvegan. The flavors were definitely unique; the crusts were crispy; the burrata definitely adds a burst of smoky flavor. I wish they had napkins at the counter though. read more

This is by far my favorite pizza in NY yet! I had to try the burrapizza as I love burrata and it does not disappoint!! The sauce has a touch of sweetness and saltiness from the cheese which blend well on a yummy, perfectly crisp crust. Pepperoni are crispy and cooked to perfection. I also tried the fried pasta in both cacio e pepe and vodka...delicious! My only regret was not getting another slice to bring home! Can't wait for this place to blow up so they can get a bigger spot so I can sit and eat in the restaraunt! There is a small bar table against the wall that you can stand and eat at and also a couple of benches outside...maybe for when I come back when it's warmer! read more
Simply only good things to say about this spot. One, the staff are my favorite people on this earth, such kind human beings. Second, the pizza, wow! I usually think pizza tastes pretty much the same anywhere but they really blew my mind here. Also plenty of vegetarian options! I got the mushroom burrata pizza, Cacio e pepe pizza, artichoke Stromboli and vegan chicken parm sandwich. The only one I'd tell you to skip out on is the vegan chicken parm. Everything else was 10/10 worth it. Only standing counter space so plan accordingly. read more
Came here on a weekday evening to grab a few slices to go, got a mushroom slice with burrata, meat lovers, and a arancini. Flavor for the pizza was good and the crust was tasty, but the arancini was lukewarm and not that flavorful nor tasty, would skip that one. Conveniently located, lots of options to choose from. read more

Saw a blogger's review and since I was nearby, i decided to try. Really cute, bright, old school vibe pizzeria, where there's only an aisle and then the other side the glass case of choices. Had a 80s vibe. Took the pizza to go and was recommended to warm at home using the handy heating instructions at the side of the box. Slices were big, but I think I left it 5mins longer than suggested in the oven. Bottom and crust was hard but ate the top section minus the crust. It was tasty though. I think I'll try it again but this time, more immediate as opposed to taking it home. read more

We ordered delivery from here because I was excited for burrata pizza. Overall, not bad, but a few things to note: 1. Burrata pizza arrives soggy because of the amount of cheese. Flavor was great, but the entire bottom of the pizza was just wet dough. You can tell if you got it from the store, it would have been an entire different experience. It would be great if they separated the Burrata and you can add it once you receive the pizza, especially in this cold weather where you may have to reheat the pizza upon arrival. 2. Other pizzas are fine, non-burrata pizza crust is crispy, flavors are good. We got a few things to try and so far, we're not upset, but 2 out of 6 slices were the $10.50 burrata slices so it's disappointing that it's soggy. I want to try this in store, so this review is strictly delivery based. Maybe we'll get an update soon. read more

Update: on November 27th there was a young man with a broken foot serving and so happy. We started to have conversations as I wait for the food, but man I don't know what it is but if the owner is making his employees happy then that is good reason to come back. He was a nice employee just like the other young man with the pink cap. He is also a nice person, but amazing how you recognize me all the time and know what I'd like. Wish I can give you a 6 start but google doesn't allow it, haha (FR) Mise à jour : le 27 novembre il y avait un jeune homme avec un pied cassé qui servait et tellement content. Nous avons commencé à avoir des conversations pendant que j'attendais la nourriture, mais je ne sais pas ce que c'est, mais si le propriétaire rend ses employés heureux, c'est une bonne raison de revenir. C'était un gentil employé tout comme l'autre jeune homme à la casquette rose. C'est aussi une personne gentille, mais incroyable comme vous me reconnaissez tout le temps et savez ce que j'aimerais.
