So this was my first time coming to this sushi place .. wanted to try since it was in the shopping center . I walked in to order sushi with my daughter .. we weren't greeted like you should normally be greeted while walking into most sushi spots. So I looked at the menu quickly ..and we decided what we wanted pretty quickly .. after 3-4 other people come in.. she decided to ring one person, I let that pass.. then after she kept skipping us .. and decided to take another guys order .. I looked at my daughter and was puzzled while she kept skipping us .. They have a large menu and good service! A hole in the wall restaurant with great food. Its location is super convenient since it's by CSUF. The inside is a bit small so if it's really busy you might struggle to find seating but it's worth ordering from. Also the prices are affordable and you can get a lot for less than $30. read more

It comes with 8 crunch rolls, 4 California, 4 spicy tuna rolls and a choice of soup or salad. I like to get the teriyaki chicken special for $4.95. It comes with chicken, rice, an egg roll, and 2 gyoza. It's a super great deal! Since they give you so much food, I was able to eat my leftovers for lunch the next day. The food is good! The egg roll was crispy. The gyoza were perfectly cooked. You can call in to place your order. So it would be a good idea to call in your order at lunchtime. Taste is lost in exchange for "pink" color. California rolls 4/5 I'd imagine that this is the best and most common thing a place like this makes. I mean it literally looks like a fast food joint. Really this is expected. Though it wasn't the best California roll I had. I think it's probably due to lower quality sushi rice? Not sire. Can't put my finger exactly on it. Price is decent you get what you pay for. A sashimi dinner combo for $14 is hard to beat. Just don't expect quality. My stomach did hurt shortly after eating here but maybe that was just my own unique experience... Service was kind of rude. The set up is a walk up counter like a fast food joint. And the chef is working on sushi nearby. I tried to speak with the chef and see what he recommended but I was ignored. There isn't really waiters here but they will bring the food to your table after your order/pay at the front counter. I asked the waitress for ginger and wasabi, she did not bring out a plate of ginger and wasabi. Yeah don't think I would ever return here. Don't judge a book by its cover. Location is in a strip mall, and you order the register so there is no ambiance. Food is fantastic. Ordered chicken bowl and albacore tuna sashimi. Albacore was very fresh and good portion. Chicken was flavorful and cooked perfectly with veggies and rice. For me, this place was a hit. The chicken was tender, yet charbroiled just enough for it to be crispy. The teriyaki sauce was not overly sweet or too heavily drenched on the chicken (however, if you like a lot of sauce on your chicken, they have extra bottles of teriyaki sauce on the side). I would totally come back here after a long day from class in Fullerton. I discovered this place through yelp & was craving sushi, so I headed over here. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because they pretty much ran out of salmon and had enough to either make two sushi nigiris or part of a roll. I know it was close to closing time but I would have been more pleased if they didn't run out of one of the most popular fish at the end of the night. Besides, the quality was really good for the price. Especially for us broke college students, this is the way to go if you wanna be filled up & happy because you didn't break the bank just to fulfill sushi cravings. What is up with, "Now that we are doing well, we are too good to put up with consumers." attitude from worker? Food wise, it is okay. For the price, it is actually good. Not that it is amazing, but considering the price it is cost effective. So it was one of my go to places for an affordable meal. However, at some point, about 3 out of 4 times, I am unable to place any order by phone because no one answers it. So, I started to go less. Keep in mind that the place as no dine-in option until the last time I went. Okay. However, I am understanding and reasonable. So, if there are many consumers, I understand it is hard to answer the phone. So, I do not blame the employeees for that. However, I went there less because it is still true that the place now meets my needs less. Reasonable, right? So, one day, about a month ago, I went there in person to order. Many customers. The place is busy, so even when it was my turn in line, the employees were just busy not paying attention to me. Okay, they have their work to do, and not intentionally ignoring me. I get that. So, I started looking at my phone. Then one of the employees who took my order started to give me this attitude like I am annying her. So, you can just keep me standing and waiting when it is my turn, but me trying to make use of my time upsets you? What's up with this hypocrisy? Anyway, I place my order. I wait while scrolling though social media on my phone. One of the employee, Female Asian, calls a name which I am not sure it was meant to be me. It's did not seem like language barrier. It was more like me trying to verify my order is irritating "her highness." And, she was making this "maddogging" face towards me. I understand that people on their phone not paying attention makes restaurant workers life more difficult. However, even though I was on my phone, I did nothing unreasonable. I did hear her calling. She was bad at pronouncing my name. And, I am not going to feel sorry for making use of my time or not standing there as if she is my master that I must exclusively pay attention to. I wondered if she had that attitude because she is the owner and she does not care if she loses customers like me, so I went back and asked if she is the owner. She said she is not the owner. The crunch roll was alright, felt like the sushi would fall apart easily and there was too much imitation crab meat inside and couldn't taste the shrimp. The salmon sushi was surprisingly pretty good! Not the best but it fulfilled my craving! The miso soup was on point with seaweed and onions. Price: $9 for everything. They have some other pretty good deals though like lunch specials and catering deals that you can't beat!
